+tbr2109 I don't think so much that they're the first who knew how to use him, more like they're the first to allow him to actually grow and play within his limits. Rather than looking at him as a franchise saviour. The dude can ball no doubt, but those insane expectations after linsanity as well as all star predictions in LA were really weighing him down.
+Undecided Undecided I think you may be right. After the game of Nets, Clifford said that Lin is just a backup player and always a backup player. I am not BS; just read that interview and see it yourself.
Lin's basketball IQ is freaking insane. He's running Xs and Os while he's physically going full-speed on the court. He's like a basketball system on a chip.
+thefountain What are you talking about? Curry signed a long contract like $11 millions per year; but wait until that expires, he will get a MAX highest contract in history of NBA. Right now this guy is bigger than Lebron because he is still young and will help Warriors to get more ring in the future.
+Shaquille Siyam Sorry for the confusion. Curry is the best 3 points shooter in all NBA timelines. Yesterday I saw he shoots for fun from the place where it started to have a ceiling and about to the locker room and the ball was in. Unbelievable.
This was the LARGEST LEAD ever LOST by a Duncan Popovich team in their careers. They had never been up 22 and lost. Lin has SO MANY GAMES LIKE THAT...all the while his coaches tried to hold him back. I remember this game well. Pop was stunned and amused at the same time. He flatly admitted Lin killed them.
+BBALLBREAKDOWN Can you do video on who deserves the 6th man of the year, actually can you do videos on all the other categories as well? (DPOTY, MVP etc.) Thx!
Seems like when Kemba is playing poorly against the top team(Cavs, Spurs, Raptors, Clippers). Jeremy has to come in and control the tempo and rhythm of thier offence
+CaptainSw3den Because when Kemba is playing with top teams, they will handcuff Kemba; so Clifford has no choice but to unlease Linsanity to happen. When Kemba is hot, then Lin needs to stand in the corner to wait for the ball.....hihihi. This is no bs. Batum is also running the team too; but when Clifford is serious, he will let Lin to play whatever he wants too. Batum is not PG; so there is limit on what he does. Kemba and Lin are PG and they have skill to run the offense for win.
+BBALLBREAKDOWN coach nick can u breakdown what it will take for my Knicks to beat lebron next year in the ECF ? That's our only hurdle other than him we can compete once we get a good Pg like Conley and a better 2 guard
+ha-yooO_D I can dothat for you. Break down the team first.... trade, waive, fire, carmelo,... bring jeremy lin. sign Kevin love and you have a nice team along with porzigis...
+Ruoyu Li That Ronnie Price was terrible this year. I watched recent game between Hornets and Suns and Ronnie Price started on that game for an injuried PG in Suns. Ronnie Price played alot of minutes; but NO NO NO production at all. It is like no impact from him at all. I don't know why the coach let him in there may be they have no PG any more.
I'm proud of Lin. He's worked very hard for this and he's a high-quality person. You can see the boost in confidence in his decision-making. Thanks coach for the breakdown.
Great video! Love the analysis. Only thing - first lead for the hornets since the opening ~12 seconds was actually 75-74 after Jeremy Lin's 3 immediately after the one where Parker just left him open, and not the 82-80 jumper off the pull up in front of David West.
good stuff. imo kemba should start against bad teams and lin should start against good teams. kemba's hero ball makes short work of bad defenses, but a well organized defense would just turn it into turnover city. lin's playmaking is the cure for good defenses. he can be a liability when he tries to hero ball it, but he's in the upper echelon of NBA playmakers when he looks for his teammates. not just talking about straight up assists, but cracking open a defense to get someone an open shot.
True That.Jlin said he went to Hornets instead of Mavericks because he said Hornets had more opportunity. But I know deep inside he only came for MJ.Even in his documentary he said MJ was his favorite player as a kid
+415Underdog Maybe. I don't know if money is all that motivating for Lin. It seems like he just wants playing time and a good group of guys on his team. This is the first team he's played on where there isn't a scorer demanding the ball and it's working well for him.
Amazing analysis. Great job on breaking down the game. Hornets need to let Lin run the PG more often. He is deadly if he get to handle the ball majority of the time.
+Anthony Chon I think he will get it because not many contenders for 6 man of the year. I think his main contender is Enas Kantor in Thunder. In order for player to win 6 man of the year, that player's team needs to be in playoff too.
I'm liking these lin to San antonio comments. lin would fit in because of the spurs diverse group of individuals and popovich doesn't to have any bias towards players when it comes to coaching
What I found impressive about Lin's play is how he made all the right decisions and was able to execute his shots with great precision. During his with the Knicks, Rockets, and Lakers, Lin seemed to flourish with slashers, perimeter shooters, and bigs (Novak, Shumpert, Chandler, Stoudemire, Asik, Jones, Parsons, Garcia, Caspi, Howard, Davis, Johnson, & Black were the beneficiaries). In this last game, he was the scorer and didn't pass to the open man. Clearly he can't keep this up game after game, but it was an amazing thing to watch.
+Timobili Parkovich Lin would actually fit perfectly on the Spurs, in terms of character and his team-oriented play as well as being very similar to a Manu/Parker type attacker.
Lin understands spacing on the court so it is natural for his team to do better when he is on the court. One can help the team just by where he stands on the court even when he does nothing.
he definitely learned how to finish around the rim better compared to his knicks and houston days where he would get blocked a lot. If he considers Charlotte home then I'm happy for him (looks way happier there compared to when he was in Houston) but as a Spurs fan I would like to see him in a Spurs uniform next season. We are probably losing Ginobli next year and we need some creativity off the bench.
+MeesterSun yeah you are right. Nowaday he attacks the rim and finish on both sides of the rim. During linsanity in Knick, he usually finished on one side of the rim. He improved alot and everything. His defense is #1 in Hornets and probably only behind MKG.
coach nick, you're gonna love this: I just discovered over at fiba's youtube page that 5 days ago, they put up 2 extensive videos: one is of Gregg popovich detailing his philosophies on the spurs, and one is ron adams detailing his pick and roll defense for the warriors. I think the titles of the videos are: "Spurs Philosophy System Basics - Gregg Popovich - Basketball Fundamentals" "Pick & Roll Defense - Ron Adams - Basketball Fundamentals"
1:12 "For the season, the top five man lineups for the Hornets have Jeremy Lin in most of them."When you back up Lin's game with hard stats, Lin haters get real upset.
Lin has so much potentially, one of my favorite players and if he steps up his game he could eventually HELP lead a team to maybe the second round possibly the Conference finals.
+Dakota Clayton Warriors missed a ton of open shots, doubled Steph forcing both him and Klay to give up the ball and have other players beat them, and minimized their own turnovers even though they still had a bunch. They took advantage of the lack of any real bigs for GSW, with no Bogut or Ezeli, and attacked the second unit without Iguodala.
+Dakota Clayton Splash brothers had a bad night, Iggy usually who provides points off the bench was injured. however they managed to get close because of their defense but they just can't seal the rebounds. the warriors have no legit centers with Ezeli and Bogut injured. Green and Speights are really undersized although we gotta admire their efforts for battling for rebounds. Varejao is just soft, McAdoo has a long way to go. splash brothers offnight and can't rebound thats it.
Lin may not be a starting guard on a championship contender, but I think as a sixth man with the role of making things happen off the bench, he's one of the best out there. He improved his overall game and many contenders would love to have a player of his caliber come off the bench But he needs to stay healthy
Hi there. Might be a little late but perhaps you can get coach ronnie to have a look at the recently viral video on Jeremy Lin not getting any flagrant calls despite being hit above the shoulders a lot. Hope you get to read this comment.
Coach, Jeremy Lin fans around the world thank you. You know how to cater to your fanbase huh? :) If you're ever in Orange County California, you and your family are welcome to dinner / crash at my place!
He usually plays well against the Spurs! Coach, did you catch the Orlando-Boston game last night? Nothing too exciting, but breaking down Thomas' 28-point night might help some of the younger kids develop strong slashing games. He uses his body to lull defenders to sleep and finish with tricky layups really well, and that game exemplifies all of his strengths.
+YizWasHere Rule of thumb, when you are hot and listed as the hottest player of the month or week; then you know that your opponents will handcuff you in the any game. That was why Kemba did not do well in games Nugget; then Spurs. Spurs with #1 defense in the league they will handcuff Kemba for sure and they did that on that game. But they forget that Lin is another pick and roll GP killer.
i remember lamacrus fouling Lin's drive to the bucket very hard a couple seasons ago in the playoffs during houston and trailblazers game. Lin must've wanted revengence.
#MakeLinAStarter He deserves it. He can be a star player if you just give him a chance. I know the days of linsanity are over but he is still star potential and can be a very great point guard.
+Master Blasko That's a pretty strong statement. Too many good PGs in the league today. Lin is a good player, but I struggle to see him anywhere near the all star game
People criticize Lin for his flaws but there's no doubt he's a heck of an NBA player. An undrafted Asian American out of Harvard, it's amazing how he has become a good NBA player. From being cut constantly and bouncing around D-League, he has really carved himself out a heck of a career
+WhatTheShizzzzz that's bc the losses usually came when the Warriors didn't have their full squad, except against the Blazers & Pistons. You can't really break down a loss when something is missing that might have contributed to that but idk
huge respect to jeremy lin for exposing the spurs....i dont want the spurs to under estimate even the weakest team cuz they are still a team in the NBA...
Kemba went cold against Spurs & turn cold against big teams. If Lin didn't step up, then Hornets would simply lose another game. Lin is good to be on the bench because Hornets is built around Kemba and the second and third team can rely on Lin which makes both first and second teams pretty evenly strong..
Give him the spotlight and with a little patience, Lin's game can become more consistent and have better results. Just need the opportunity. If you look back at his Linsanity days, he didn't start putting up great numbers his first two or three games. But look what happened afterwards.
Lin's always worked best with average-good players. Superstars can tend to mess with his rhythm and while his teammates are solid, it's good to see Lin work freely again
How well has Kemba being playing this year. Tbh I haven't heard much about him this season. I think Lin is a better defensive player than Kemba. It would be interesting to see what Clifford does with the 2 guards. Also I think Lin's contract was for only a year so that will also be a factor.
DIMES also I think his 4 year contract started this season. Therefore I don't get what people are saying I don't think the Hornets are ideal for Lin with walker there.
+seal3081 Kemba is having his best season and has done great with Batum playing SG. When MKG was playing the Hornets were on another level. Courtney Lee is a good replacement for the starters now as he has good Defense and can hit the open shot. Lin isn't better than Kemba at all and is very inconsistent, however when playing against a team like Boston you see Lin and Kemba utilized together, however Lin's defense is still bad and exposes him. Kemba has found a 3pt shoot which has made him deadly. He's had some really high scoring games this year, by far the best player on the team.
WhatTheShizzzzz this team fits him better then any other team he played with. he plays less then 30 minutes a game and can still do that ? jeremy lin is so underrated.
+jay j he's definitely underrated. people just tend to call him overrated at times due to linsanity, but other than that Jeremy Lin has always been a solid player. its just that at times over the past years he's been inconsistent. the thing with the hornets is that he gets consistent playing time and a role, unlike the rockets/Lakers where he was constantly in and out of the lineups. I'm happy he has found a home
+ Undecided Undecided I am assuming you are one of many who believes Jeremy Lin is only a Backup point guard. That is what many in the NBA would like us to believe. Jeremy Lin won 7 game winning streak without Carmelo. Something the Knicks could not even do even with Porzingis and Carmelo playing. Some would argue that back then, teams did not know Lin's tendencies. Well, Jeremy Lin did not know other teams' tendencies either; yet, not many would give Jeremy Lin credit. If Jeremy Lin is only a backup, how was he able to beat Cleveland even without the help of Kemba Walker? How many starting point guards out there could say that they beat Cleveland at least once? Or how was Jeremy Lin able to beat San Antonio Spurs who led by 23 points after the first quarter? How many starting point guards could come back from a 23 point deficit and still win against San Antonio?
smh Danny Green...down 1 wide open jumper right at the free throw line...and he dribbles back to the three. Not only that, had he made it, they would have set up a 2 for 1 and so even if the Hornets score, they would have at least 1 more chance at a basket. With Duncan and Aldridge both clogging the paint, if he missed, there might also be a chance at an Oreb...but dribbling back allows defense to get set and with the shot clock dwindling, that takes away your chance of getting a high quality shot...Pop must have got on his case afterwards.
It's great to see Jeremy Lin with a team that actually knows how to use him.
Lol i just didnt feel like trying until now
Ikr
+tbr2109 I don't think so much that they're the first who knew how to use him, more like they're the first to allow him to actually grow and play within his limits. he just knows how to play basketball in right way and its inspires me to play bball since im asian

Lin's basketball IQ is freaking insane. He's running Xs and Os while he's physically going full-speed on the court. He's like a basketball system on a chip.
this dude is on a 2.2M contract.. probably the best contract out there in terms of value right now.
+Jeffrey Kim Hassan Whiteside says no
Stephen Curry doesn't have that big of a contract and he is running away with the MVP race
+thefountain What are you talking about? Curry signed a long contract like $11 millions per year; but wait until that expires, he will get a MAX highest contract in history of NBA. Right now this guy is bigger than Lebron because he is still young and will help Warriors to get more ring in the future.
+Tuan Nguyen that's literally what he said. Currys contract is nothing compared to his value.
+Shaquille Siyam Sorry for the confusion. Curry is the best 3 points shooter in all NBA timelines. Yesterday I saw he shoots for fun from the place where it started to have a ceiling and about to the locker room and the ball was in. Unbelievable.

I love watching Lin ever since his 4 game breakout performance in NY. Just a great guy to root for.
Much respect for lin's game, from a spurs fan
Also noticed Lin have improved his game: his left side no longer is his weakness... though his shooting release is still slow.
+HaiHiung Lo I don't see his release as slow.
+HaiHiung Lo maybe we've been watching curry too often
+Chang Kyu Park true that xD

i agree with u. it's all about the business. I think batum's agent have some deal with Hornets.
+zayinfan About Batum, I think he might get a max deal because currently he is Clifford's a second favorite man behind Kemba.
+Tuan Nguyen jefferson?
Seems like you're always a huge fan of this kid... he's a great person , i love ur breakdowns keep it up, i'm in ;)
+XPBenny thanks!
+Ruoyu Li yea a nice team that can tank for a top pick probably
you meant the one knicks have right now with melo
byron scott would have started ronnie price.
Lin still doesn't start...
he is playing starter minutes.
+Ruoyu Li 26min is starter mins?
+ADAJ3 But Kemba is waaaaay better than Price.. a better scorer than Lin.. Just a tad inconsistent.

What a come back! Great to see LINSANITY once a again!
nice video bro, finally someone who knows what they are talking about, keep up all the hardwork.. this game was dope... j linnnn
This is a good one really. Thanks for the work done on this vid.
Great video! Love the analysis.
Only thing - first lead for the hornets since the opening ~12 seconds was actually 75-74 after Jeremy Lin's 3 immediately after the one where Parker just left him open, and not the 82-80 jumper off the pull up in front of David West.
good stuff. imo kemba should start against bad teams and lin should start against good teams. kemba's hero ball makes short work of bad defenses, but a well organized defense would just turn it into turnover city. lin's playmaking is the cure for good defenses. he can be a liability when he tries to hero ball it, but he's in the upper echelon of NBA playmakers when he looks for his teammates. not just talking about straight up assists, but cracking open a defense to get someone an open shot.
he's found a home in Charlotte honestly.
True That.Jlin said he went to Hornets instead of Mavericks because he said Hornets had more opportunity. But I know deep inside he only came for MJ.Even in his documentary he said MJ was his favorite player as a kid

+Kevin Wong probably just wanted exclusive hook ups with the sneakers
No my home is china bitch
+JerGOAT Lin haha
Love how coach appreciates smart players and players that hustle...
Amazing analysis. Great job on breaking down the game. Hornets need to let Lin run the PG more often. He is deadly if he get to handle the ball majority of the time.
+Laeot Not until Kemba gets injury or his game is BAD.
Coach please do a breakdown spurs - warriors!
One of the most underrated players in the league
I hope he gets 6 man of the year.
Lol 6th man? Ill get that with a mvp too. I was robbed of my all star too
i hope so too.
+Anthony Chon I think he will get it because not many contenders for 6 man of the year. I think his main contender is Enas Kantor in Thunder. In order for player to win 6 man of the year, that player's team needs to be in playoff too.
+JerGOAT Lin didn't you just score 4pts the other night?
Peter Phinney fuck you. Greats need to rest once in a while
Excellent data analysis; keep it going. Thanks!,,
He'll be a great fit with the spurs, that's Lin's style of playing as well.
If Jeremy goes to the Spurs
He's sure to win a ring
I'm liking these lin to San antonio comments. lin would fit in because of the spurs diverse group of individuals and popovich doesn't to have any bias towards players when it comes to coaching
+kevinso187 yeah, he'd fit in really well
+kevinso187 And Pop would actually know how to use him effectively.
They might pick Ray Allen
+kevinso187 pop's checklist: He isnt a knucklehead, he is a good and smart player. yeap
+Remmy Gold NO way that guy is old.
What I found impressive about Lin's play is how he made all the right decisions and was able to execute his shots with great precision. In this last game, he was the scorer and didn't pass to the open man.
Clearly he can't keep this up game after game, but it was an amazing thing to watch.
he's very good in this particular game I gotta said. thanks for the breakdown btw.
I have always liked him. Wish the spurs had picked him up this year. But hey, the spurs can always aim for batum and lin next year.
And Lebron James, Kevin Durant, Steph curry
+Jay Low 😂😂😂😂
+Jay Low wtf😂😂😂😂😂😂best team in the history of NBA right there
finally found a role in a good team and now you want him to leave? wtf?
+Timobili Parkovich Lin would actually fit perfectly on the Spurs, in terms of character and his team-oriented play as well as being very similar to a Manu/Parker type attacker.
Thanks for the analysis. I learn a lot from these videos!
am happy for lin

Hornets triple L lineup of death = Lin Lamb Lee. Well.. i like it. Nice choice of words.
Can u plz make one on how the Spurs beat the Warriors
Warriors missed shots

Man, I hope we get to see this again and again...Linsanity is still alive and kicking. Thank you for sharing this video.
and hes scoring so efficiently. maybe he'll be a really good 6th man for many yearss
Hi there. Might be a little late but perhaps you can get coach ronnie to have a look at the recently viral video on Jeremy Lin not getting any flagrant calls despite being hit above the shoulders a lot. Hope you get to read this comment.
Great breakdown but why are the clips sometimes out of order?
Coach, Jeremy Lin fans around the world thank you. You know how to cater to your fanbase huh? :) If you're ever in Orange County California, you and your family are welcome to dinner / crash at my place!
You da Real MVP
Sounds like a nice place
+Stever Liu Haha, I sure do! I can't believe how well the Lin videos do. And about dinner? I'm IN
Lins is very Underrated I dont Know Why :(
15 35 hes average
first time viewer. you just got a new subscribe my friend :) Looking forward to future content
I destroy ANYONE I face mate
+Eric Choi That Isiah Thomas was underpaid too. That guy is the main guy that Boston is about in the playoff.
Everyone used to hate on this guy and call him a scrub, but he's actually a pretty solid 6th man.
Lin is underrated.
Why hasn't Kemba Walker got a breakdown? Aside from the past couple games he's been killing it this month.
+YizWasHere I know! He deserves one.
+YizWasHere Any way Spurs were ready to stop Kemba; but they were not prepare to stop Lin.
Excellent analysis...
+wongwsw thanks!
i remember lamacrus fouling Lin's drive to the bucket very hard a couple seasons ago in the playoffs during houston and trailblazers game. Lin must've wanted revengence.
So fucking beast man.
Parker has no respect for Lin and pays for it. GG!!!
parker said he sees himself in li
hahahaha
Do a breakdown on the spur's defense or how the Spurs beat the warriors
Damn. Good job Lin!
Secretly hoping my Dubs get him back to take over that Leandro Barbosa spot after this season after he retires.
I'm very proud of him. Lately hes been donating alot to his 401k
I see your point, but I still think he should at least be a starter. With kemba and Jeremy on the floor that would be one of the best backcourt duos.
Can't wait to see what he does on the Nets!
People criticize Lin for his flaws but there's no doubt he's a heck of an NBA player. An undrafted Asian American out of Harvard, it's amazing how he has become a good NBA player. From being cut constantly and bouncing around D-League, he has really carved himself out a heck of a career
Lin was so lucky with that last rebound though. Looked like green might have gotten it for a second 5:20
Great video.
WHERE IS THE VIDEO OF THE SPURS BEATING THE WARRIORS?
+Alweezy He doesn't want to expose his boy Stephanie
I feel like whenever the warriors lose, their games are always undercovered. I've barely seen coverage of it on espn
+Alweezy I KNOW RIGHT. NO VID OF US SHUTTING DOWN CURRY BUT LIN GOING OFF ON US RIGHT
Well we already knew what went down and none of us are suprised by that game. We are however by this one
+WhatTheShizzzzz that's bc the losses usually came when the Warriors didn't have their full squad, except against the Blazers & Pistons. You can't really break down a loss when something is missing that might have contributed to that but idk
Jeremy had a Lee-ttle Lamb?? :)
HAHAHA
+ebu touy Nah his lamb big cuz he be eating
😂😂😂
YES COACH!
huge respect to jeremy lin for exposing the spurs....i dont want the spurs to under estimate even the weakest team cuz they are still a team in the NBA...
+Patty Mills They never underestimate a team. That's not what Pop wants them to do.
weakest? 76ers still exist
+Young City Bandit his grammar was off.
Coach are you going to do a video on how the Pelicans are struggling so much this season?
they got bad luck look at their injuries
Kemba went cold against Spurs & turn cold against big teams. If Lin didn't step up, then Hornets would simply lose another game. Lin is good to be on the bench because Hornets is built around Kemba and the second and third team can rely on Lin which makes both first and second teams pretty evenly strong..
Can u explain the Lin Kemba dual PG dynamic?
it's that Harvard Intellect on the court lol even schooled Duncan aka Big Fundamental
Kemba is better
+reign W0V3! I agreed kemba is better in many aspects but lin make the team better.
+reign W0V3! No doubt Kemba can ball, but like Corey said, Lin makes the team better. Nothing wrong. With that
He can be like Manu Ginóbili, if he had a smart coach and serious team organization.
Lin will fit in Spurs, where there is more team plays. And Spurs also need another good ball handler and distributor.
only if parker is not playing on the team anymore then yes
charlotte is a deep team... even with gilchrist out
Jeremy Lin needs more game time.... cmon
If only the lakers knew how to use a talented Lin...
The easiest way to beat the Spurs is attacking their PGs. However, they switch well enough to cover this so it's not too easy.
Isn't weird seeing the dp picture of three guys all in the Raptors together now 😅👏
thought i was the only one rewatching this
has anyone realized that the guy from the bay is thriving in Charlotte and the guy from Charlotte is thriving in the bay?
I don't know if anyone is noticing but Derrick rose is beasting
4:10 "give them the first lead"
3:50 didn't Lin make a 3 to give Hornets the lead?
2K NEEDS to put an Amethyst Jeremy Lin card on my team 👏🏽
How well has Kemba being playing this year. Tbh I haven't heard much about him this season. I think Lin is a better defensive player than Kemba. It would be interesting to see what Clifford does with the 2 guards. Also I think Lin's contract was for only a year so that will also be a factor.
I think Kemba is averaging 21 ppg and 6 assist. He is their best player now
DIMES also I think his 4 year contract started this season.
Michael Jordan transferred his powers to Jeremy Lin.
+David Ha It was since the time when mj slapped jlin butt... it happened in like February just saying...
+Dan I remembered seeing that too, lol.
I wish he just stayed in Hornets and he will not be injured. But, he will come back, strong like this again! May God be willing!

I miss him on the court
teams really didn't give him chances. if they did more and he started I think he would average about 15-20 points about 5-6 boards and 5-6 assists.
he's better in a 6th man role.
Linsanity!
+Galileo De Leon
*Racists hate to see Lin succeed.*
+Galileo De Leon Bravo! Up vote!
so what happened again Hornets? why did you let him go? after all he has done...tsk tsk tsk
I guess the ghost of the 3/6/16 Lakers possessed Jeremy Lin.
smh Danny Green...down 1 wide open jumper right at the free throw line...and he dribbles back to the three.
+Yun Li But with Lin free throw, you think you get a chance.
Jeremy Lin is the spurs' Achilles heel
