You know, you HAVE to love doing this. Yeah the dosh is good but there's pride in your work. I watch a LOT of repair vids and your work is the cleanest.
Buying these for 50 and putting a TDP158, used HDD, new paste, testing, cleaning....there is no dosh in this work unless your business model is making the actual profit in other ways. And I mean profit, not 'the difference between the buy and sell price' as many people assume. 🙂

I always keep these broken hard drives and sell them as spares/repair on ebay.
People that do data recovery can always find useful parts on them.

can it possible to fix the disk drive itself ? I know that regular HD can be fixed in a lot of cases as long it is a board issue.

**thecod3r** I'm simply interested, in the video you say that the console is native Display port. So if the HDMI encoder is bad, why not do away with HDMI and have Display port instead? I believe that D-P is the better standard.
The current iteration of DisplayPort is superior to HDMI in most respects, however not only does it support much higher resolutions & refresh rates it also provides USB signalling and extra features which would serve no purpose on a console. Despite the lack of license requirements it would be overkill for even the current generation of consoles. HDMI licensing is know to be $0.04 at volume, I would imagine Microsoft have an even lower license consideration. I don't believe DisplayPort is endorsed by Dolby (it can support it though). HDMI does have eARC - something that DisplayPort does not support.

A sata cable shouldn't fail if it's not moving around.
My gaming pc would fail to boot sometimes. It was the sata cables. I ran raid so with the heat and dust it would cause a dodgy connection. Had to just unplug each one then plug them back in. Done for another month
@SaucyBegger25 yah I can see dust causing connection issues seen that before in some pc. But a physical brake would only be cause by cable being flexed to much
