    You can do this quick bedtime (or anytime) routine on your yoga mat or in bed! 🛌 Use pillows to prop/support yourself as needed - you might need a pillow or two under your knees when you do the twist. End your day with peace and relaxation, or use it in the morning to calmly begin your day. It's also great in the afternoon for a stress-relief break. Enjoy! And be sure to visit my website: www.vibrantpelvichealth.com/

      Hello Dr. Bri, will this help those who has fecal incontinence?

    • @vibrantpelvichealth
      @vibrantpelvichealth  7 місяців тому

      @@marianneviajar3130 YES, it can be a helpful first step for fecal incontinence! Relaxing the muscles (through mind-body techniques and stretches like this video shows) is really important to focus on first, and then you'll want to begin gradually progressive strength work. Find a local pelvic floor physical therapist to help you in-person, and check out my Lift program for gradually progressive strengthening at home: vibrantpelvichealth.com/lift

    Thank you! From a hypertonic urinary urgency sufferer! I’m so happy to finally find some help. Kegels and strengthening were not the answer to my troubles.

      Do you mean that your pelvic floor muscles were too tight?

    • @MsKasiulenka
      @MsKasiulenka 4 місяці тому +2

      I believe so. I have a hypertonic pelvic floor and kegels are the opposite of what you need to do to release the pelvic floor. I shared Dr. Bri’s videos with both of my PTs a d they said these are great

    I did this as an afternoon break along with hips up time, felt wonderful, especially for my hips! The music in the background was very serene and calming. Have been enjoying your videos for the past year in helping me with a uterine prolapse, many thanks and blessings to you for what you do!

      Hi. I was wondering how much you've noticed your pelivic floor and uterine prolapse improve. I've been having prolapse and my gyno pretty much said there's nothing to do but surgery or an internal device but I believe exercises will help me. Just wanting to hear from other woman who have done exercises for their prolapse and results.

    Dear Dr. Bri,
    again a nice video to relax the pelvic floor.
    I will definitely use it more often and alternate it with your other videos (pelvic floor release stretches) to relax the pelvic floor.
    I had pain in my testicle area for years and your relaxation exercises have helped to control it.
    The higher cameraview is very helpfull to do the exercises the right way.
    Thank you for that.

    Can you do this while also trying tonfix diastis recti

    • @vibrantpelvichealth
      @vibrantpelvichealth  Рік тому

      Yes, you can incorporate safe stretching exercises into your routine while working on fixing diastasis recti. However, it's crucial to choose exercises that don't worsen the DR and follow a DR-safe program or consult with a physical therapist who specializes in postpartum recovery. Gentle stretching can help promote flexibility and support overall recovery, but it's essential to prioritize exercises that target DR and focus on rebuilding core strength and stability. ~ Leila from Vibrant Support

    Is this exercise ok for women over 70 with stage 3 or 4 uterine prolapse?

    • @vibrantpelvichealth
      @vibrantpelvichealth  Рік тому

      Go slow, be gentle, and see how it feels in your body! Your age is just fine (no problems there), and the prolapse should be well-managed as long as you don't hold your breath. But everyone is different, and so again -- you'll need to see how it feels in your body.

    This is a really lovely practice. There is only one thing I might suggest. It would be really helpful if there were some modifications or other pose
    options for shoe lace. With bigger thighs and/or a larger midsection that pose is unaccessible and I wasn't sure what other pose I could swap in that would get to the same muscles. Thank you!

    • @vibrantpelvichealth

    Does this work for those who experience mild fecal incontinence?

    • @vibrantpelvichealth
      @vibrantpelvichealth  7 місяців тому

      This workout is **pelvic floor aware** meaning that specific cues are given for breathing and technique. This keeps the workout "pelvic floor friendly" for people with all sorts of pelvic floor issues, including incontinence. That being said, I can't guarantee that it will be appropriate for your needs. EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT and will tolerate exercises differently. Listen to your body and stop or modify if anything feels uncomfortable for your particular core/pelvic floor needs. Talk to your local pelvic floor physical therapist for individualized medical advice!

      It's important to see a pelvic floor physical therapist in-person (if possible) for medical advice and individualized treatment. As far as the work I have on my UA-cam channel, the dancing movements are good, but be sure to explore my pelvic pain/tension playlist: bit.ly/femtension The external perineal massage and release techniques along with slow, deep breathing are very helpful for you (don't miss the perineal massage video)
