9 days not a drop of alcohol… thats as long as gone in years … been drinking since i was 16 and ill be 50 this year in august. Definitely had my share of negative consequences two dui’s ..relationship problems, awful hangovers days lost to feeling shitty. Feeling really good about this. Already feeling so much better physically and mentally… been journaling my cravings when they happen and what i was feeling possibly triggering them. Watching a lot of content here on youtube university. I need to make this work. There is so much i still want to do even as i get older and i know lying around recovering with a pounding headache is not the way to get it done. Really enjoy the content. Keep it coming.
About to go to my first AA meeting and I'm terrified. Never considered myself an Alcoholic because I don't drink every day, but I do drink every other day, and there's no having one drink. I'll drink till I'm drunk at best, blacked out at worst. Nursing another nasty hangover today, everybody's pissed, and it's time to stop the cycle. Never really thought I had a problem till my wife confronted me about it, and reminded me of the last 20 years and my perfect record of abusing absolutely every opportunity to drink. I don't want to lose her, or my kids, or my job, I want better things out of life. Thank you for the inspiration.
some people are not lucky enough to come to a fork in the road moment until it's too late. consider this a blessing in disguise, and an opportunity to head down the right path. The universe is on your side, don't stand in the way of your own blessings! drinking is easy! temptation is easy! It's so easy that if you were to lose your family in your home you could keep doing it while you were homeless. Show your family that you are more than the predictable track record of your past. You are not your mistakes and you are not destined to continue making them! Just hit my 1 year sober, channels like this have helped me the most along the way. Everything is significantly better for me now and I wish everyone the best of luck on the journey to a sober life.

I’m 39 days in and definitely can confirm my mood is way better, I dropped like 16 pounds so far, my sleep is wayyyyyy better than before and I’m dreaming again. It’s interesting because I never consider myself an alcoholic, but I didn’t realize how much alcohol was holding me back. Excited for 2024 on the sober train
Thank you. I am on the line of "do I have a problem" and I am most definitely NOT a good version of myself whilst imbibing alcohol. Again, for sharing and inspiring.
Same, I'm not chemically dependent (never got DTs) but I do abuse the drug by overconsuming nearly every time I drink. It's not for me. Only took 32 years to come to that conclusion.
I've been wine free for about 2 weeks and I've stopped waking up in the middle of the night.... My body temperature has also normalized..I used to need the AC cold AF if not I'd start sweating. One day at a time 😢
As a daily drinker, Thank you for this video, it gives me hope for after detox. I am terrified of my future as I can't afford to go to rehab or a detox. I so badly want out of this cycle that I made an appointment with my Doctor to see what help they can offer to detox at home. Wish me luck.
Hoping you can find access to temporary treatment at home. A week-long Librium taper and then onto something to manage the cravings is what I received last year from a psychiatrist. That visit and prescription was the beginning of my sobriety journey. I could have used the Librium a few times since… but just having that help once was what I needed to kick start. You deserve the help. Wishing you well 🙏
I am not a doctor of ANY sort. My doctor prescribed for me something called "antabuse"(sp?) to help me get through the detox stage. It was completely free and I take one each morning with my coffee (a healthier addiction?) and I have gone as long as three years straight without missing alcohol. I am now back (6 years later) and only on Day 4.
Just celebrated 2 years on 1/3. The rewards came slow for me. Sometimes it was a let down but I had made up my mind and stuck with it. For me after the first month which was HORRIBLE the sleep, my God the sleep! I don't think I ever slept before sobriety. I'm still getting the social stuff figured out. I have come to realize I had NO friends. They were all drinking buddies. Good luck to anyone starting their journey! You got this!!!
Day 8. First time I woke up without a headache. A weeks of the shakes, insomnia, anxiety. Getting started is hard. One day at a time. Anything worth fighting for is going to be hard but I look forward to continuing one day at a time with this community.
Been sober exactly 1 month today and i owe a lot of it to this channel and community. Thanks Jae and everyone for the kind words and motivation.. Here's to 2 months!
@@Lesleythekid It is SO kind of you to offer me, a complete stranger, encouragement and ultimately support for this decision. I live in a place known as Beer City and I am an avid mountain biker wherein the culture here is " let's get a beer (after a ride)".Thank you from Asheville.
18 days sober. I also dumped sugar, carbs, caffeine, and SSRIs. I don't recommend this approach as I went through 6 days of pure hell, feeling like a perpetual panic attack. I'm out the other side now and I feel absolutely wonderful. Alcohol is poison but so is sugar. Count that out and I can attest that you'll feel better than you ever have. Videos like this are helping me stay motivated to stay sober. You seem like a wonderful person. Thanks
🥰 always be careful quitting alcohol and ssri. taper off slowly is always recommended. I remember feeling brain and body zaps when I quit taking ssri cold turkey. that lasted for at least a week or more. but here we are!
Hey congrats on how your doing....I quit alcohol cigarettes and coffee and I feel so much better, they all was effecting my health so much. I can't believe how much I think clearly now.....good luck on your journey 👍
Thank you. That was so kind of you to respond to my post and offer encouragement. i'd like to pass on again the mental calm I am experiencing. I;m convinced that a keto/carnivore diet is also playing a huge role as well. I feel so much better. No SSRI, benzos needed at all. I wish you continued success
Thank you! Yes. I drank a 6 pack a nite to sleep. I have quit a week. Yes sleep is escaping me but, you and others say that is hardest for them to get in that circadian rhythm!
I just celebrated 12 years of sobriety. The first few months were tough. Hang in there. Last year I had gallstone necrotizing pancreatitis. Two surgeries, half a dozen endoscopic procedures, a dozen anesthesia events, six weeks in the hospital, and about six months of suffering. And through all that, I didn’t have to drink. If I can do that, you can too, one day at a time.
96 days without alcohol and added healthier life choices. Growing older starts getting a little scary with the little health issues that keep popping up. I believe God tapped me on the shoulder and quietly gave me a second chance at a longer life. He put the thought in my mind to detox and find a healthier life style. It's what I wanted so it wasn't that difficult. After I was able to develop a routine and learn that food is medicine and alcohol is poison, I found increased motivation. I love feeling healthier in comfortable fitting cloths and sharing my success with family and friends. I'm proud that my actions have influenced others to do the same; it's so easy to fall into a unhealthy pattern without even realizing the consequences. I'm down 26 lbs and feel really good for a change...
I’m so glad I found Jae and his channel during my sobriety joinery. He has such a positive, empathetic and direct approach. I always learn something. 💪🏻💖🎯👍🏻
Only 4 days sober! Just watched your video and it gave me the boost I need right now! Alcohol is an EVIL QUEEN that loves to whisper in my ear constantly! Going through the depression stage right now and this video helped get my spirits back up! Thanks for what you do to help us all out!
Fight through the anxiety and high blood pressure phase and you’ll never look back. It sucks but around 3 months you get back to normal. It was 3-4 months for me of anxiety, headaches, and high heart rate and blood pressure.
2 months and I feel like a different person. Honestly excited to get back to my hobbies like djing, and working out. Best Christmas gift I ever received was sobriety. And I had the fisherprice mini basketball hoop as a kid in the 90's
18 Days sober today. I made it through Christmas and New Year’s Eve without a drop. It gets easier and easier to live without. I spent the long weekend cleaning and organizing my neglected kitchen cabinets - out with the junk “lit & fig” 😉. It feels good. I feel good. Thanks for the talks and info Jae! So helpful.
Anyone else watching this wishing that their loved one would ever feel motivated to watch it too? I don’t drink but my partner does and has for the last 45 years and though it’s affecting him negatively in numerous physical and mental ways he has NO inclination to stop. He feels that life would be just too boring and lacking in fun without it. A long way to go yet.
31days now quit. Sleep definitely alot better, still not 100%. Not too much weightoss, but eating very healthy and training hard. Could be body composition happening plus healing inside. Definitely more calm n mood stable. Skin alot clearer and less red and rashes, more money too haha Glutamine has really helped with sugar cravings
Sober since January 1st! Quit cigs in November. Yall I’ve never felt this good. Better sleep, dealing with the toxicity within my relationship. Working out, hiking. Fam it’s actually working!!!! Grateful for yall
Happy New Year! Day 370 for me today. Just recently getting sleep back from pretty gnarly insomnia... only positves there were totally up to speed on NCIS and Law and Order SVU marathons. :O Super game-changer was cutting caffeine off 10 hours before sleep time AND clicking the OFF button on the TV.
I'm 4 days in and having a hard time falling asleep. I've let alcohol put me to bed for far too long! Good news is that when I do fall asleep I dream vivid dreams that I actually remember. And, my watch shows that my oxygen levels are much improved!
6 weeks sober! Better diet plus exercising every day, and already 25 pounds down...35 to go!! I've attempted this several times over the last year and never made it longer than a week. THANK YOU for always liking and responding when I posted a comment, even if I failed and didn't come back for a while. You and this community are amazing!! 🥰🥰
CONSISTENCY IS PART OF THE JOURNEY! That's why I make time out of each and everyday to respond to comments. If you're gonna talk the talk, you better walk the walk! Why? Because things can only get BETTER when you put in the effort. 6 weeks and 25lbs LETS GOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Jae, I've been watching your videos for the last 8 months. I've cut down my drinking DRASTICALLY. The last 3 months I've had a couple of drinks here and there. 29th Dec began my Super Sober Stint. Looking forward to a 9 month sobriety stint and see how I get one. Keep up the good videos dude 👍🏻 😎
This is great. I've been clean & sober for almost 8 months now. I look better and feel better. My health has improved considerably. My eyesight is better. Walking without looking like I'm 'stumbling' has all but disappeared. My brain fog, mental acutity has taken the longest to improve out of all the shortcomings. Also my emotional & psychological stability and well being has become more stable and is getting better everday. I eat better, cut out all junk food. Lots of fruits and vegetables. I'm drinking a lot of herbal tea such as, Korean Ginseng, Turmeric, Ginkgo Biloba & Ashwagandha. I'm so glad I came made the choice to get 'clean & sober'. It's all worth the effort of taking the first step to quit drinking. There's nothing greater than being healthy & strong. I haven't regretted my decision at all. Take that first step!
Day 25 for me and already feeling the benefits, Sleeping better, My Sense of smell and taste has improved so much!!! Feeling so much more positive and lots more energy. Best decision I made
The numbness, tingling and pain in my hands went away after about 14 days, and continued to improve since. So I guess nerves can regenerate to some extent.
9 days in and almost ran to the liquor store but stepped out to watch this instead. I’m not an Eminem fan but I would like to share that I relate very much to the lyric “and if I cannot have you no one can, you’re my darling, ‘cause I possess your soul, your mind, your heart, and your body.” When I’m sober like this for some time I get severely depressed and basically don’t speak at all. It’s actually very hard on my relationships/marriage. But great video. I’ve got to keep going to see that benefit.
4 days in now after several short stints of sobriety last year. Feeling more confident than ever this time. As you've mentioned in previous videos Jae, going sober can take practice, if you fail then try again and it will become eaier. Its so true!!!! Good luck folks :)
I needed this comment. Had my first drunk night of the year last night. I couldn't stop thinking about DRINKING, and I was down on myself about it. I'll only get better and longer between drinks, right? This time was just 3 days.
@@becky5569 pick yourself up, dust yourself off and get back on the sober road :) It's tough but you achieved 3 days this time, you can do even more next time. It's not easy but you've got more practice now. Thinking of the days under your belt as a little trophy you can be proud of helps too. Go get em'!
I am 2 1/2 days sober. I’m taking it one day at a time but hope I can keep this up forever. Your videos are and will continue to be a great help. Thank you for everything you do to help those of us struggling!
Well done for starting. I'm on day 9. It definitely gets easier after a week. The first few days were the hardest. You can do it. It will get easier. Keep going! x
@@gilbertho4454 keep going! Your liver will thank you and you’ll save a small fortune. I’ve been drinking cod drinks to help me relax. I’m definitely getting better sleep. On day 17 now.
Loved this video and it has been a wonderful way to start my morning in the land of Oz on Day 7 of my sobriety. Finally starting to feel a bit better. My withdrawal symptoms this time around were very bad compared to those in my past attempts. So grateful for your channel and have been flooding myself with your videos which have been a God send for me. Really helped me to keep going even though I was feeling so ill. Thank you so much. 😊🇦🇺🦘
On day 42 of sobriety and needed to rewatch this video for your support and the support of this video channel and the community! Feeling great today about myself and not relapsing….just hard dealing with a spouse who drinks so heavily and makes my (mental) journey harder. Just trying to stay focused on myself and praying all the time. Wishing the best for everyone and stay strong to all of you. Jae, thanks for caring about us!!!
I drank from age 18 to 21 and it was clear that it was going to be a problem for me. I also had a range of other drug habits. I quit the lot one day in 1979, including coffee and tea. I'm now 45 years and 2 days sober. You can do this people. That person who made intoxication central in their life has long gone and I've gone on to have an amazing life, super fit and healthy. Indeed I have achieved all my dreams. If you are taking drugs of any kind you are holding and treasuring a lump of lead. Put it down and pick up a lump of gold, the true treasure . . . health, fitness and wellbeing. Change your mindset, change your life. What you believe about yourself is probably wrong. You've got this and a whole lot more!
Thank you for these videos! They helped alot. Almost 6 weeks sober and I feel amazing. I can think again! I realised a few days ago that I don't even want non-alcoholic beer anymore. Used to drink 2-3 of them every day. Wouldnt have made it without them. My mood is soo stable and I have so much energy and a brain that works again! Thank you again, and good luck to everyone ❤ I will never touch it again!

Yay thanks for your videos and what you do! I’m on day 5, and weirdly haven’t been having cravings (a first for me, I’ve tried getting sober many times). Been finally turning back to my faith after a solid 5-6 years of unnecessary debauchery. Time to pick up the pieces and never turn back By the way I saw that you used to DJ in another video of yours. I just started DJ-ing this past year and am getting booked for some upcoming shows early this year… I feel a little nervous with how the lifestyle can be. Not so much that I’m going to fail my sobriety but more that I’m not sure I will belong there anymore after all this work. I guess we will see! 🙏☺️ whatever is meant to be will be
I was a heavy alcoholic for around 17 years. I use to drink 30 beers a day then in my last year of drinking I was drinking around 25 shots a day. I weaned myself off to the point Iwas having hallucinations and eventually a seizure in my sleep. Been sober since March 8th of 2023. First week was great but around day12-14 the anxiety was unbearable. I have a panic disorder and it was that x 10,000. I ended up back in the hospital 5 times after getting sober with high blood pressure at 200/150 constantly and 20-30 panic attacks a day. Nobody would help me. One hospital tried to put me in a detox program for drugs and I was 100% sober. I started keeping a journal as I honestly believed I was going to die. The headaches were horrible and lasted 3-4 months. It took around 2 months for my blood pressure and heart rate to go down as well as my anxiety. Once it did I started playing hockey again at 33yo. Before I knew it I was on 9-10 teams, one of which is a minor pro roller team in the PIHA league, and a semi pro ice team in the MHL. I currently just started lifting weights again this Monday and trying to get a contract for a pro league in Europe. I have to lose 20-30 more lbs of fat and add 15-20 more lbs of muscle. My anxiety now is almost non existent now. I’ll be a year sober in exactly 1 month and I’m feeling great. Im playing the best hockey I’ve ever played and in great shape. I’m motivated again, naturally happy and healthy, and I actually eat again. I didn’t eat for the last 2-3 months of me drinking. I was literally dying fasho. I hope someone reads this and gets or stay motivated.
Wowwwwwww what a turnaround!! Everyone loves a great comeback story and I know I loved it so thank you!! You truly stuck to the motto of: "if you're not where you want to be...KEEP GOING!!!"
I have to say how much I appreciate the “nuts and bolts” approach to your videos. Your suggestions and tips are extremely helpful. Counting cravings and Quirzilla, along with the 5 enemies of sobriety, are concrete things that really have helped me these past few days. I’m so glad I found this channel, again, thank you, DP
Sometimes I get a little philosophical, but this problem is a multifaceted issue. Sometimes humor works, sometimes practical wisdom, psychology, philosophy, you name it. thank you for your support!
Hey Jae, I fell off the wagon during the holiday's I missed work made alot of dumb decisions and I'm lucky I didn't get a Dui a few times. But I'm back and ready for a change again, drinking especially alone is getting me no where, God bless you for your videos they are inspiring Dave 2.0 is ready for a sober and healthier future.
13 months sober. I have been drinking for almost 20 years and just quit December 2022. I had all kinds of problems including panic attacks, enhanced appetite and weight gain during my drinking years. I am almost 43.
I stopped alcohol after I moved away from my home and relocated overseas 12 years ago. I’ve now been dry for 7 years now and at aged 74 am considering moving back home next year. I’m very conscious that I’ll be subject to the same pressure that made me misuse alcohol again when I’m back close to my old drinking friends again. I’m determined not to lapse but it’s going to be a real challenge.🤞🤔
I started to feel better after 2 months, but the real changes came after 9 months. After the first month i had severe anxiety, i couldn't stop thinking of all the dangerous places i was at and how i placed myself in dangerous situations when i was drinking. It made me think clearly of my life choices. 🎉
Health is Wealth!!! I am almost 7 years Plant Based Nutrition and now 7 days without fermented fruit in a glass..... thank you for the great video .... helping me to add sobriety to my health regimen 🎉
Another awesome video Jae. So nice to see you helping others still and changing peoples lives . You absolutely changed mine. I’m definitely going to follow all your videos again because it helps to be reminded why I quit drinking 2 years ago 😁
It feels amazing to wake up with no hangover needing more to drink...I don't miss it at all. I even stopped going to places that I used to do most of my drinking at, it helps a lot. Also if you have to cut certain people off for awhile, do it 👍.
I'm only 3 days sober and already I feel a shift in my conscious awareness & overall well being. My motivation to get out & exercise is returning. Thank you for sharing this valuable information. I love myself enough to apply positive change. May you all have a BLESSED & prosperous day!🙌🏾
I quit on memorial day weekend. 2 years ago. Worst time bc it was beginning of summer , all the bbqs. Weekly weekend gatherings. 365 x 2 year. Is 730 days at least x 3 drinks a day. 2190 glasses of wine that did not go into my mouth. 2190 glasses of wine that didnt soak in my brain, pass thru my liver. My liver , lung, blood pancreas, etc. is thankful, my memory is thankful, my family is thankful i stopped. It's easily over 2300 glass of no wine . Nightly drinking, weekend drinking. Morning drinking. All stopped. Thank goodness, I have my family back, my health recovering. Kids will all be in college soon. Won't go back. Want my kids to come home am visit a healthy, happy, sober father . Someone they'd be happy to see and can rely on bc for many years I have havent been around physically, mentally, emotionally. Can't dwell on the past, but do reflect on it to continue my positive changes so they don't head in that direction but if they do, they'll know it can be changed. Be back on course.
Been doing very good 21 days But today I really started to feel a Craving Coming On I went & had a cafe latte & that seemed to calm the urge down. So glad you had a new video out today. I have been sleeping much better than I have in a long time. So I guess I am feeling some of the benefits that you mentioned in this video & looking forward to many more. 🙏
After a few weeks I started developing a taste for coffee. I found the latte and it has been my almost daily treat to myself for over 10 years. It gives me an opportunity to go to a coffee shop and be around people for a bit and decompress. actually, a great portion of my best technical writing for my dissertation was written in coffee shops. I don't worry about the money anymore,,,sobriety has rewarded me so well that it's a drop in the bucket..and the roads are safer! Enjoy your lattes.your worth it.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Let's goooooooooo!!!! What are you working on lately? Hobbies? A trip? The house? What's them abs looking like? 🤣 (I still can't see my abs)

Been a moderate drinker for 40 years since I was 14 I've gave up many times over the years but always drifted back into it Currently 3 weeks into my latest break from the booze The way I look at it is its alot better jacking it in and going back rather than not trying at all
Gday Jae. Just finished day 6. Your videos are very reassuring. Side benefit - driving my car again as I'm not worried about being breath tested! And of course the mornings are amazing. Actually finishing crosswords every day.
lol when I was like 2 years sober I went and played pool at a bar and the reflex kicked in to scan the parking lot for cops...and I laughed to myself and said "I'm sober what am I doing" 😂😂😂
i know this is an old video lol. but i wanted to comment on the last part. today i am 59 days sober. and i have only shared publically (on my social media) about sobriety one time about a month ago. and from that i have had 4 ppl reach out to me and ask me questions. i was like 28 days when i post that and ppl were genuienly in my life already being inspired. thats all thanks for the good content. it helps ease me during my work days
Over a month sober and the benefits have been refreshing! My lifestyle has changed drastically but I’m excited about what’s in store! Love vids man! 💪🏽
I quit drinking by accident. It's only been a couple/few months (I honestly forget when my last drink was, not n/a, anyway), and it was because I got on a medication I can't drink on so I can have the best chance possible at college, but I'm enjoying this sober thing. Prior military, which we all know the culture that surrounds the lifestyle, and never thought I'd quit. Not because I felt I had a problem, but because it was a hobby for me. Going out and visiting all the breweries in the area gave me a sense of socialization. I never really bought 30 packs of cheap shit, it was mostly craft. And, expensive. That's another thing, I'm saving a lot of money by not going out to restaurants and bars every night. I'm not living on bar food and high sodium, processed stuff. I'm learning how to cook and expand my menu, at the same time. I'm not a chef, but I did make a 4 egg omelette yesterday morning, which I've not done in years. And the sleep is so much better. I'm having difficulty waking up. Not because I'm hungover, but because my body is getting real rest, finally. I'm also going to sleep more naturally. I've been depending on cannabis for the past 4 years for sleep, because I never felt really tired at night. I didn't realize it was because of all the stuff I was putting in my body. And, I'm thinking of slowly cutting that out, too. I checked my bank account a couple times last week, and by this time in an average month during my drinking, I'd be basically moving funds around and hoping I had enough until I got paid. I don't know how long I'll be keeping this lifestyle, but I'm enjoying it enough to not miss the other one. Even my music writing has seen a positive effect. Here's to another day of sunshine and no alcohol!
I quit New Year’s Day still sober went from a case of beer to sober. Although it’s challenging what I gather from this video makes pure sense. Thank you for the video and now I’ll continue my journey through sobriety.
Running a youtube channel called Fishing And Drinking Every Day (FADED) is very tough on my body. I'm constantly drinking. Every year I do a cleanse starting with dry January. After finding this channel I think I may just stay sober for longer. Thanks Jae!
I'm on day 14 and starting ripping the benefits. I got this covered. Over this past weekend i was with friends with all the alcohol I used to drink. I made a choice to no longer drink and i am sticking to my guns. Its all about choice and determination. I guess its maybe more difficult for others temptations, but for me its a choice i made to stop and i am committed to continue for a better life.
Well done everybody on their recovery. I haven’t had a drink since December 18th and are starting to feel the effects of sobriety now. Thought I had chronic depression but it was actually the drink. Also haven’t vaped in almost 2 weeks which was giving me anxiety. Get rid of your crutches and in the long term you’ll feel better. Good luck to everybody here.
Been sober for around 40 days. Many aspects of my physical health have improved, but I wasn't a "heavy" drinker, more of a social, weekend beer drinker. I'm still waiting on the mental health and sleep benefits. But that may be caused by other underlying psychological issues. Either way, I'm proud of myself.
Really liking your videos, its very helpful for me in my start of the journey towards sobriety. My gut issues seems to be improving alot after 7 days in. I dont have to worry about having constant bathroom breaks. Hope this keeps going this way.
If anyone is struggling to quit entirely, I recommend reading This Naked Mind by Annie Grace. Its a life changer. I wasnt chemically dependant but it was definitely a habit that got out of hand too many times ❤ I celebrated my first sober birthday yesterday in many years. The benefits are so worth it x
Thanks again for your video and the way you present. Needed to watch that today. I started on my sober journey last year around September. I saw the title of your video “getting sober again…“ And that really got me. I’ve had some relapses since then but watching your videos and a few others as really encouraged me to keep at it. Thanks again for all the encouragement! My favorite quote in this video is “be patient or else you will be a patient”! Love it! I won’t forget it.
Im just absorbing as much info and opinions as possible right now... I am 42 days sober!!! This last couple weeks though has been rough... Where as the first week was very hard for it's own reasons; I started feeling great for a few weeks after. Now I have been bogged down and fighting major fatigue of the like that I have never experienced in my life. I am not sure why; im not sure if it is mental; but I am doing my best to get up and keep moving. I get back from work and immediately want to sleep and then just want to sleep the evening and night away; then feel pooped still the whole next day. Annoying but I am just looking at it as part of the process... If it continues for a long time I will probably just go get my blood work down; just to ease my mind that it isn't any deficiency or anything.
Man you’re the best, just found your channel today and I am currently on day 2 of breaking a week sober. Landed an amazing job and I can’t ruin it by drinking so I will be on your channel daily for the great motivation!

Congratulations LadyHawke. It’s so worth all the hard work 😄
Congratulations and thank you for sharing and inspiring.
Keep going!
Right behind ya at 95 days! Way to go and thankyou for the encouragement. Love that energy!

CONFIRMED 🫡
Interesting about the dreaming thing, who knew? I am have lots of dreams after only three weeks. I love it!
Same, I'm not chemically dependent (never got DTs) but I do abuse the drug by overconsuming nearly every time I drink. It's not for me. Only took 32 years to come to that conclusion.
16 pounds! that's amazing, well done! I'm on day 9, I would love to lose 16 pounds. Good for you x
Hey Brother, 4th day sober for me 🇺🇸 🇳🇿
🌞🌞🌞🌞🏴☠️
Day number 2 being sober and I am so excited for my future without alcohol imprisoning me😊
1 Day at a time you definitely got this! 👍🏾💪🏾
I'm day 7. It's tough the first few days but hang in there!! One foot in front of the other
Day 2 again
I've been wine free for about 2 weeks and I've stopped waking up in the middle of the night.... My body temperature has also normalized..I used to need the AC cold AF if not I'd start sweating.
One day at a time 😢
I've noticed that I'm constantly much warmer than everyone else the last couple of years. I need to get on board with this!
102 days today !! Yesterday was my 25th birthday and I didn’t even think about that crap
102 WOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
As a daily drinker, Thank you for this video, it gives me hope for after detox. I am terrified of my future as I can't afford to go to rehab or a detox. I so badly want out of this cycle that I made an appointment with my Doctor to see what help they can offer to detox at home. Wish me luck.
You GOT this! 🎉
Keep us posted. 🤗
I'm on day 79.
Thank you@@dianecassinari6728
@@dlwilliamson5644 Thanks for the tip. I am going to see her Monday. Wish you well on your journey.
I love this! Keep it going!
Congratulations and THANK YOU for sharing this and inspiring me. Day 4!

I don't recommend this approach as
I went through 6 days of pure hell, feeling like a perpetual panic attack. I'm out the other side now and
I feel absolutely wonderful. Alcohol is poison but so is sugar. Count that out and I can attest that you'll
feel better than you ever have.
Thank you. That was so kind of you to respond to my post and offer encouragement. i'd like to pass on again
the mental calm I am experiencing. I;m convinced that a keto/carnivore diet is also
playing a huge role as well.
One day at a time!
500 days on January 1, 2024. Thank you for informing and supporting us, Jae!
Got u fam
🙏 Amen brother. You know it!

2 months is amazing! Keep it going!
Lol daaaaang you had it made back then! Did you have the full die cast Voltron set too???
18 Days sober today. I made it through Christmas and New Year’s Eve without a drop. It gets easier and easier to live without. I spent the long weekend cleaning and organizing my neglected kitchen cabinets - out with the junk “lit & fig” 😉. It feels good. I feel good. Thanks for the talks and info Jae! So helpful.
That's what we're here for!
Well done for starting before Christmas! I'm on day 9. Good luck, keep it up!
Sober since dec.22🎉
Anyone else watching this wishing that their loved one would ever feel motivated to watch it too? I don’t drink but my partner does and has for the last 45 years and though it’s affecting him negatively in numerous physical and mental ways he has NO inclination to stop. He feels that life would be just too boring and lacking in fun without it. A long way to go yet.
Hope and freedom are my two favourite benefits of sobering up.

31days now quit.
Sleep definitely alot better, still not 100%.
Not too much weightoss, but eating very healthy and training hard. Could be body composition happening plus healing inside.

Just recently getting sleep back from pretty gnarly insomnia... only positves there were totally up to speed on NCIS and Law and Order SVU marathons. :O

Healthy bed hygiene. Love it!
Great result bro. Also great tip on regulating caffeine

The numbness, tingling and pain in my hands went away after about 14 days, and continued to improve since. So I guess nerves can regenerate to some extent.
The body is designed to heal 😎
9 days in and almost ran to the liquor store but stepped out to watch this instead. I’m not an Eminem fan but I would like to share that I relate very much to the lyric “and if I cannot have you no one can, you’re my darling, ‘cause I possess your soul, your mind, your heart, and your body.” When I’m sober like this for some time I get severely depressed and basically don’t speak at all. It’s actually very hard on my relationships/marriage. But great video. I’ve got to keep going to see that benefit.
For someone who’s not an Eminem fan, you sure did pick a song that only true fans would like. Great song.

Yay thanks for your videos and what you do! I’m on day 5, and weirdly haven’t been having cravings (a first for me, I’ve tried getting sober many times). Been finally turning back to my faith after a solid 5-6 years of unnecessary debauchery. Time to pick up the pieces and never turn back
By the way I saw that you used to DJ in another video of yours. I just started DJ-ing this past year and am getting booked for some upcoming shows early this year… I feel a little nervous with how the lifestyle can be. Not so much that I’m going to fail my sobriety but more that I’m not sure I will belong there anymore after all this work. I guess we will see! 🙏☺️ whatever is meant to be will be
Drinking is for the audience. be the professional that you were meant to be😁
I was a heavy alcoholic for around 17 years.

Self Reflection is much easier when we stop running away from ourselves 🫂
Health is Wealth!!! I am almost 7 years Plant Based Nutrition and now 7 days without fermented fruit in a glass..... thank you for the great video .... helping me to add sobriety to my health regimen 🎉
Another awesome video Jae. So nice to see you helping others still and changing peoples lives . You absolutely changed mine. I’m definitely going to follow all your videos again because it helps to be reminded why I quit drinking 2 years ago 😁
😁😁😁 What fun new updates do you have during your 2 years of sobriety?
One month today!
It feels amazing to wake up with no hangover needing more to drink...I don't miss it at all. I even stopped going to places that I used to do most of my drinking at, it helps a lot. Also if you have to cut certain people off for awhile, do it 👍.

WOAAAAAAH!!!!! 90 DAYS LETS GOOOOOOOO
2190 glasses YESSSSSSSS!!!!
Been doing very good 21 days
But today I really started to feel a Craving Coming On I went & had a cafe latte & that seemed to calm the urge down.

Currently 3 weeks into my latest break from the booze
The way I look at it is its alot better jacking it in and going back rather than not trying at all
Great reminders. Made it past a stubborn craving tonight and I’m back on. Made it 12 days then slipped on NYE. It’s progress!
PROGRESS MAKES PRACTICE!!!
I love the positivity! Keep us updated, and keep those comments flowing. Community is what it's all about!
Wow...That flashback video is shockingly different. I definitely can see a bit of my former self in that video. 12 Days sober. Thanks!
Definitely making progress 😊. Love the feeling of being hydrated with deeper sleep
deeper sleep is absolutely overlooked and a wonderful feeling. am I right?!!!
Yes I love seeing this, keep it going!
Five days sober , difficulty sleeping but that is to be expected. Onwards and upward 👆.

I quit drinking almost four years ago. I feel no difference in my health or otherwise. Absolutely nothing has changed, not even my weight.
Onward and upward!!!

Running a youtube channel called Fishing And Drinking Every Day (FADED) is very tough on my body. I'm constantly drinking. Every year I do a cleanse starting with dry January. After finding this channel I think I may just stay sober for longer. Thanks Jae!
Just switch from bourbon to Apple juice lol, problem solved 😉 looks the same
@@GettingSoberAgain funny you say that cause I've actually done it! LOL

DETERMINATION 👊👊👊
Well done everybody on their recovery. I haven’t had a drink since December 18th and are starting to feel the effects of sobriety now. Thought I had chronic depression but it was actually the drink.
Also haven’t vaped in almost 2 weeks which was giving me anxiety. Get rid of your crutches and in the long term you’ll feel better. Good luck to everybody here.
Benefits here we come!
Great attitude! You should be proud of yourself. All good things take time, I'm glad you're being patient!
15yrs, have never regretted getting sober
Lots of great quotes! Might have to get yourself a notebook to write them all down 📝
Congratulations to everyone making real changes for the sake of their health. Here’s to living longer & healthier lives 🎉
You've been blessed with an amazing opportunity. Do you want to show the universe that you're ready for it, or that you're ready to take another step down and out?
