Shocking - after your comment about that dangerous wall on the straight by the pit late, Verstappen had a tire failure just a few hundred meters ahead of it. Fortunately, Max was able to steer to the right, but if he had veered left like Stroll did earlier in the race, exactly the scenario Nico called out could have occurred in the race. The track absolutely needs to be redesigned here.
Right? How hard is it to cover that with soft barriers at LEAST???

It looks like Verstappen’s rear tire blow out occurred precisely where you point out is the scariest part of the track, luckily he went in opposite direction... really crazy..
I loved the radio in 2017 after Nico left Formula One and Valtteri came in his place to Mercedes. I think it was a Chinese Grand Prix where engineer told Valtteri: "We still have potential for P4 Nico… I mean, Valtteri"

11:15 really interesting detail that Nico picked up there. Remember watching this video prior to the grand prix starting and when seeing those tyre failures occur I think F1 can count themselves lucky there was no casualties during the race.

When Vettel won a championship and said on the radio. “we have to remember these days because there’s no guarantee that they will last forever enjoy them as long as they last”. Being through many health concerns this always resonates with me and I came to enjoy the smallest things in life. Because tomorrow is indeed not guaranteed. I remember getting out of the ICU and crying once I got to a room and saw a sunset. Helps you put everything into prespective. And I believe Sebastian was really on point when he said that in the team radio.
