Dang for $79 that's a must have for people who run Staples all day. I'm probably gonna pick up a Ridgid to Ryobi battery adapter and this tool might have to be on my list of tools to get. Great to see a longer video with details and demonstration!

The ability to place a second set of staples on the *top* of the rail is a feature IMHO... allows you to carry an extra rail of staples in the gun while working. I'm pretty sure that was designed on purpose. Nice touch. Just picked one up for $50 (2021 holidays sale). My old hand stapler is going into retirement... my hand hurts after 10 minutes of use with that thing!

The spike end helps hold the screen in place while you staple, the other end hold wire center and protects the wire by not allowing the staple to go too far.

I purchased this stapler and today I really put to the test. I installed 250 lathe strips to the crawl space sub-floor so that I could install insulation.
The span of the joist was 48” so this way I was able to tuck two rows of R30 - 23 and 5/8” insulation. Using 9/16 staples and a 3.0 Ah battery I still had half battery life left when the job was complete. I had to use several staples at each end of the lathe strip to make it secure but the stapler was able to fire rapidly so it wasn’t much of a problem. I used a total of 2025 staples give or take.
I was considering getting the Makita one months ago before this one was announced. I wanted it, but couldn't justify spending nearly $200 on it. This seems to be almost as good and much more palatable price wise.
yes $200 is too much for a T50 stapler, even Milwaukee's M12 stapler is also $79 right now
I would've loved to have seen you drive staples withthe cable attachment. I do run low voltage cable from time to time, so that would be why I would buy one.
That's what I was looking to see. Also, whether it handles rounded staples. My manual Arrow accepts T25 (rounded top) staples no problem.
great information on how to load the staples around 3:20. i would have stared at the stapler for two hours not knowing why the staples aren't stapling.

This is not an air stapler, it uses a compression spring just like the two previous models. The blue models got a lot of bad reviews because people didn't know how to use them and what they are used for. I have three of the first blue models (P300), and they work great.
PS, the first generation shot both T-50 staples and 18Ga brads.

Thank you! I bought this to do a reupholstery project. Wasn’t sure what to expect. You made it very clear! What type of staples should I buy? Pneumatic or Reg, what size?

Type of Staples: 3/8 in.
Magazine Capacity: 85
Staple Length: 1/4 in. - 9/16 in.
So basically T50 style staples in the above sizes.

Bought this stapler and so far so good. The only thing I really really dislike about it is the thickness of the nose of the stapler.
Staples staple about 8mm back so stapling anything that's needed to be flush to a corner is almost impossible
Reduce the front of that nose by 4-5mm and it would be great
Thank you for the review, I would like to suggest using manual focus as the AF drifts in and out of focus.
Thanks, manual focus would still cause out of focus moments when I move the tool in front or behind the focus point. In this case c-af was the better option, the only problem was keeping sure the tool was inside the focus box which was hard to do unless I stood absolutely still.
@@ToolCraze So this is getting a bit photographic, but you can adjust your depth of field and aperture to make sure that you have a bit of room to move around, but you still stay relatively in focus. Any basic photography video etc will cover this. I'm not sniping at your video in any way though, it's a common thing that affects lots of peoples videos.
I got to get me one of those for my job I insulate duct and that look like it'll be perfect!
The Milwaukee does have the window on both sides so you can see the staples...End it has the dry lock feature

Good video, What length of staples are you driving in?
Comparing manual to battery is like comparing apples to oranges. Use a 1.5 amp battery and it will be lighter at 3 lb 15 oz.
The metal clip: one side is for screen wire, the other is for wire. Placed all the way back is out of the way. That way, it will not get lost.
I’m sorry but Makita stapler have do not have brushless motors in their staplers (at $199). Neither does Milwaukee at $160.
Ryobi $59. At the price, you can purchase almost three of them for what one Makita cost.

Did you try it in real bumb mode, when we just push one time to trigger and staple always on touch the noise to wood?
How is the aim, like hanging Christmas lights? Does it have a sight?
Has a small arrow near the tip on both sides to show you where Staples will be placed.
I've never needed pinpoint precision when using any type of hand stapler, whether electric or not so never needed to look at the arrows.
Gonna use the Griswald method, eh?

HELP PLEASE-Just purchased this stapler for an upholstery project. I'm finding that after maybe 4 staples, the trigger locks up. It eventually unlocks by itself but happens after every handful of staples. It's a very simple tool, but I can't figure out what's going wrong.
sounds like there's a problem with it, I'd send it back the store and get it replaced

m12 is not double the price $80 vs $120 but it is smaller and has bump fire mode and dryfire lockout.
Can i use Porter Cable narrow crown 18GA 1/4" staples?
nope, only T50 style staples that can be 1/4" tall but not 1/4" wide. the Staples you're talking about are for a different type of stapler

I have both, besides size, the milwaukee has the features the ryobi is missing like bump fire and might have dryfire lockout. Can't remember the last one exactly as it's been a while since I made this video, I think the ryobi shoots faster than the milwaukee not sure as my memory fails me at times

Yes it's less bulky because of the smaller battery.
The thing runs all day long on the 1.3 amp-hour battery, why use a 4 amp-hour battery and complain about the weight?
You misunderstood what I said since I didn't complain about the weight, I simply stated facts. Is it heavier than a traditional manual or pneumatic stapler? Yes, this is a fact. You forgot to mention the part where I said I would gladly take on the added weight of this stapler over a pneumatic since I don't need to run a hose and compressor, and would prefer it over a lighter manual powered stapler since those can tire you out after a while because of the pumping action that's required.
This isn’t pneumatic - it neither has a built in compressor nor does it use external air. It had a giant electromagnet and spring.
Now you have to found a new univent Ryobi tool for pulling those staples out your work bench.

You could take your petition to Ryobi themselves and while you're at it, why not bring this up with Makita and Milwaukee since they too call their cordless T50 staplers as 3/8" crown staplers.
Idk what they call it. They are wrong too. It's a t50 stapler.
You should never dry run your stapler dummy shortens it’s life
