What’s always impressed me about Jacob Collier is that not only is he an endless source of knowledge for music theory, but he is also incredibly technically proficient with every instrument he touches. Truly a modern master.
I love this SO much. Don't get me wrong, full-on, studio-mode, everything-including-the-kitchen-synth Jacob is great, but I've really wanted to hear what he can do as part of a small, acoustic ensemble and wow, he did not disappoint.
Jacob Collier, Chris Thile and Chris Eldridge... playing one of my favourite songs... together... Either I’m dreaming or Christmas has really come early this year. Thanks for this, guys.
This was a delightful surprise on my subscription feed today. Halfway across the world this week in China and had no idea Jacob was on this week. Would've flown to NY to see this!
Poor girl was so lost during the bridge that Jacob had to literally give her that D to get her started. Not judging though, I’d also be uber intimidated to sing along with those two!
Dear Jacob- thank you for helping me to love music again. It’s been a long time.
Jacob Collier is supremely underrated as a guitar player
as an everything*

He’s an ok guitar player. He’s a superb musician and has a top of the art hearing and musical understanding of vibrations.

If only Thom Yorke joined them
And Rachel Price!!!!
This is just ridiculously incredible in every possible way.
Mindblowing.... The Mozart of our lifetimes.
Agreed
and the Debussy, Stravinsky, Copland, Parker, Coltrane, Glass, Hendrix, Zappa, and Zawinul of our times as well!
If he is Mozart then Thile is Bach ;)
sepptrutsch Thile is more like Paganini
We have a good future with him and Alma Deutscher!
6:21 I love how Thile turns into an agent from the Matrix.
This song always makes me feel a certain way and it will be my favourite forever ...its like the song of my soul💞 i really really love this
Gods are playing together! Thanks for this wonderful display of pure musicianship...
Jacob is magnificent in so many ways!!!
Hell of a nice version of this tune. Works so well in this setting. Tasty.
I love every version of this song but I was looking forward to the Live From Here version as soon as I saw it was a thing.
I was not disappointed. 😊
Maybe my two favorite musicians ever
Is that Chris Thile?! Yessss!
ME ENCANTAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Wow!
that F to Gm at around 7:00 made me feel things
oh look, it's one MacArthur Genius Grant recipient (Chris Thile) playing with a future MacArthur Genius Grant recipient (Jacob Collier)
Awesome, Rachel Price with Jacob
Even tho i'm not a big fan of this kid. I gotta admit he has unique musical identity.
Chris Thile with Jacob!!! Yes!
Anyone know the tuning for Jacob's guitar?
Edit: It appears to be Db Ab Eb Ab Bb Eb with capo on 6th fret.
OK.. You are a totally good guy... I just want to know about your harmonizer... If you can't tell me
here... respond to dubyadubya@aol.com... Thanks in advance...
I think it's like a vocoder
DubyaDubya131 it’s just a 12-note custom built vocoder. Justin Vernon of Bon Iver has a very similar one.
What happened with the tennessee waltz video? :(
Sony owns the rights to the song...
I am lucky... I ripped it from UA-cam before they yanked it :)
find my Facebook profile... I posted it there... we'll see how long it lasts :)
oh my, chris and jacob, is this real life?
Those are some nice socks Jacob
RACHEL WTF kill it girl, greatst collab ever
CAN I SUBSCRIBE MORE THAN ONCE??????!!!!!!!
Rachael Price !!
Poor girl was so lost during the bridge that Jacob had to literally give her that D to get her started. Not judging though, I’d also be uber intimidated to sing along with those two!

That's Rachel Price, incredible lead singer of Lake Street dive, ain't nothin poor about that girl
He did! Musically speaking at least =] Watch him queue her in at 4:29 with a D flat.
11 thumbs down, it's the headgear right? Seriously, get a life
The New Mozart
Second.
Worst version ever. Jacob did his best to save it :) the one with MIT is amazing. Must see.
