Cindy, you are hilarious! You had me laughing out loud with your bloopers! I have been waiting for your tote bag makeover, and you definitely made the wait worthwhile. The bag turned out fantastic, and definitely something I would carry! Loved all these projects today + the mini tour of your garden. So beautiful!
Yep...LUV skipping around😊 & ur SIMPLE 2 the point directions. Luv that TOTE👍. Jealous of ur the GORG Hydrangeas 🪻. Love the curtain as table cloth...& why not👍😊
Love those bloopers 😆 Wow oh wow! That canvas bag is a total transformation. I wouldn’t of believe you did that make over if I hadn’t seen it myself. Amazed at you doing the lining ( which I love) that’s not an easy thing to do especially for beginners. I can sew a straight line but sometimes it’s not even straight 😆. You definitely know your sewing. The hat, sooo cute. Looks good on the door. Gosh Cindy, I would love to have a work room to be able to do a lot of my maker overs. I have no space. I do most of my work in my carport. It’s gets hot n humid living in Florida. And the dog is scared to death of any of my tools. If I don’t put her in the house she’ll take off n then I have to go hunt for her. Of course I lost an hour of work. I remember being 60ty. I still had a lot of energy but now at 72 almost 73 I’ve slowed down considerably. That’s a real bummer too. No, I’ve never painted on material but watching your video you using a lot of Dixie Bells paint was amazing. Never new they had all this cool stuff. I think I’m gonna have to try some. You did a great job on the basket adding that leather n bleaching it. It looks really good. Sorry Cindy, I got yanking so much that I’ve left a long comment . I guess I needed to chat since I have no one to chat with except the dog. I think she gets tired of hearing my voice. Thanks for a great video. ♥️♥️😊👍👍🌟🌟
Hi Shelly, first of all, I love that you leave long comments it really does mean a lot to me. Sounds like you do a lot of work in your carport and I give you a lot of credit for working in the heat and humidity of Florida. I’m so glad that you’re inspired by watching our videos and I hope to bring you more of our projects in the future. Thanks for watching.🥰🥰
@shellydehart8217 I love your comment. I too seem to be yucky when "talking" on here too. You actually give me hope and discouragement at the same time, but good discouragement if that means anything. You talking about your age. I've been through a lot In my life and lost my husband recently. What you said about remembering being 60ty and having a lot of life in ya and now at 72 slowing down tremendously. I'm praying that my last half of my 60ty's will be uphill. I want to do this kind of stuff. I love re-purposeing things I find in GW bins or thrift store. I know with my health the way it is I don't many years. I cant do furniture because I have no muscle man to help me. Lol So small item upcycling is for me. God bless you and you can chat with me anytime. I'd love to see your work. Are you on here too? I gotta hand it to you working in Floridas heat like that. I can't handle that. I'll need an AC put in my garage. 😂 I dont think the industrial fan will work very well. Best of luck on all you do.
Funny bloopers! I would have never thought this a problem for you. You are always so Natural and down-to-earth! You projects always turn out beautiful and perfect. Also, it looks like you live in the Garden of Eden! I laughed so hard at you. Thanks for sharing everything!
I’m thrilled that the bloopers brought you some laughter! We need to laugh at ourselves, it keeps us humble 😊 thanks for watching and for your sweet words 😊
AT OUR 1855 FARMHOUSE, I DESIGNED A ROUND GALVANIZED BUCKET FOR A KITCHEN SINK AND LOVED IT...RECESSED IN OUR GALVANIZED ISLAND TOP THAT WORE LIKE IRON---I LOVED THAT TOP, COULD CLEAN WITH CLORX CLEAN-UP AND A A TOWEL RAG AND IT WAS GREAT!
I just wanted to say that i LOVED your bloopers!! Its just a reintegration of why i enjoy your videos. You keep it real. Your honest and you stick to what YOU like!
You are so fun to watch! I can’t wait to see your front porch video!……oh and if you are up for a challenge/suggestion, I’d LOVE to see you make a birdbath out of thrifted items! I’ve been watching other UA-camrs do them and each one is so unique. I think you’d do a stellar job and it would look so cute in your amazing yard.❤
I LOVE all these projects! The bag make over is nothing short of amazing! I would definitely use that! I may have to look for one to make over myself! Love your videos!
The bag turned out better than I expected! So glad you are inspired to look for one for yourself! Thanks for watching and for sending the kind words! 🥰
I love what you did with your pieces!! ..especially the bag!! 😍😍 that turned out awesome! And your hydrangeas on the dining room table are absolutely gorgeous! You are so creative and ingenious! Keep the videos coming! 😊
I do love watching your videos, you are a very talented person. As a crafter/flipper myself, you give me such great inspiration. Thanks for all your ideas & creations.
I’ve never painted furniture, but I first saw a vloger ( Farmhouse On Boone ) about a year and a half ago. Turned out stunning. Loved how you repurposed your findings, especially your bag. Btw, loved your bloopers!
Thanks so much! I have the laundry room makeover on my blog at reinventeddelaware.com Thanks about the dahlias- the yellow ones are about 10” in diameter 😊
A tip to remove the backing of peel and stick paper is to make a small rip in the side of it. The backing will rip but the paper itself won’t; start to peel from this rip. That works for me every time. I love all of your projects, great job. 😊
Oh my goodness....You crack me up! And to answer your question...YES and NO....LOL it depends on how the person, in this case it's YOU, spreads out the project process. In this case, NO I don't mind it! You do it so well so it makes an interesting and exciting adventure watching you create. I also love seeing your yard. Adore the flowers and plants. That tote turned out great and no, I've not painted fabric yet although I want to and yes I use transfers all the time but not on fabric....yet. I actually have fabric very similar to that transfer that I have planned on using to line a tote that I make myself. Great idea and I'm trying to figure out how I can use my old door like you did, and I just happen to have some old wooden castors, too. Score!
I'm so glad to bring some laughter to your day! It's so good for our souls! We really enjoy our yard and working it in is like therapy! I hope you can figure out how to use your door for your decor!
OMG I love your idea of using the shower curtain as a tablecloth I’m going to keep my eyes open for interesting shower curtain to use as a tablecloth 😁
My tip ...at the corner use 2 strips of any tape ...one on front other on back..careful here don't let tape touch each other...pull...did it work???? I had many small stars to pull apart this worked good luck
Hi Cindy, wall paper TIP; if you add scotch tape or any tape to a corner on both sides it will make it easier to pull apart. A sister DIYER showed this tip on a video I saw I just can't remember who it was so sorry about that. Have a great day everyone.
Put a piece of tape on each piece of the peel and stick wall paper on one corner (one piece on the backing, one piece on the wall paper with sticky side facing in toward each other,) then pull the two pieces of tape away from one another. Should work! Works when you're decopauging with napkins and need to separate the plys also!
Loved everything you made over in this video. You have the best ideas and execute them so well. If only I could have even just a portion of your talents…. You inspire me to try though. God bless you and your husband. Thank you!
Loved this video and all the great transformations. I see that you sell some items. Was hoping you might sell me a bulb of your beautiful pink daylily shown at time 5:20. Could we work that out?
Thanks so much for asking, but I just don’t think I can work that out. I’m not selling our items. The best I can offer about getting daylilies is to look on Joni seeds.com and you might be able to find the varieties there thanks for watching 😊
Did you check to see that the fingernail polish was not going to be toxic to the hummingbirds? A food safe acrylic paint or red paint on the glass jar would gave been safer.
Loved the bloopers so much!! I also love what you did with the bag. The step stool is perfect for you right near your pantry. The transfer and paint color is great. Personally i think i would I'd of left some black on it somewhere - maybe the sides, inside and outside. I think it would bring out the transfer much more. Everything looked fantastic as usual. I had something else i wanted to add but im having a Sometimers moment so if i remember it after i watch this again I'll let you know. Hehehe. God bless and happy thrifting.

Hi Cheryl! I don’t think I have a video about 80s shelves. I will have to keep my eyes open for some when I am out thrifting. Do you mean wood brackets underneath? I did find some cool brackets that hold a shelf up and I repurposed those. You can see them in this video. They turned out amazing! ua-cam.com/video/7vlWG5oOgeI/v-deo.html
Yes the ones with the wood brackets underneath. I found 4 at a sale for $1.00 each, so I couldn't pass them up. 3 are exactly the same and one is smaller. The larger ones are about 16" long and 4" deep by 6" from shelf top to bottom of brackets
The red dye in purchased Humming bird food is not good for them. Use a 3 to 1 ratio of water and sugar. Boil 3 cups of water. Stir in 1 cup of sugar until dissolved. Cool. Your Orioles will love it too! Watch for black mold in your feeder. Wash before refilling. Enjoy!
Love the Vanna vibes at the end.
😂😂😂😂 Too funny!
What a lovely, inviting table!!
Thank you! 😊

By the way the little flower on the feeder is there to keep bees from getting the nectar. 😁
Oh Em goodness thank you for the tip about the little flower keeping the bees out! I had no idea the purpose 😊

On the tote bag, did you use fabric hot glue or regular hot glue? The look great!!!
I just used regular hot glue to attach the jute braid trim. But I used E 6000 glue to attach the fabric to the tote bag. Hope that helps 😊

I’m pretty sure it will be. Plus, the place where I applied it is far from the area they stick their beaks in for the faux nectar🕊️🕊️
