I'm in Australia so yes, I hang clothes on the clothesline. It's the norm here. And best thing is that it's the sun's rays that help sanitise and also react with the alkali in soaps to gently whiten cloth.

I grew up in an Early American decor home also. Whole I appreciate that design, it's not mine. I have finally had the courage to redo a few of my parents' (especially my father's works) items to fit more into my decor. Some examples: milk can, wash boiler, trunks. The coffee scooper is so cute! To turn the hydrangea into a standard, choose a straight center as the trunk, take off the branches &leaves off the lower part that you have chosen to be the trunk. Do not cut the very top (leader)until you have reached desired height. It will want to sprout on the trunk from time to time, just pinch off those leaves. You can also stake the trunk to keep it straight at first, then remove later. Practice on rosemary…it is cheaper, fun, pretty and edible.

Oh my goodness! The box with the legs on it… my great grandmother gave me a table and chairs that had that exact same pattern and material on the chairs when I first moved out on my own. I hated it at the time and ended up giving it away a couple of years later. Someone would probably want it now. They were made very well and would probably still be in great condition. That pattern just isn’t for me. Now I wish I still had it to paint after watching you paint that piece. The unpolished (silver over copper) is my favorite. I love to see the age of an item in its patina. ❤❤❤ Ilove the little dresses in the laundry room. So sweet. I love the shade of green on the lid of the jar. I surely do remember the Early American furniture. My Aunt and Uncle used to have Early American decor, and my Aunt Grace was blessed with having an old big milk churn, which I know were super hard to find and if you did, were expensive to buy. She stencilled it with using an American eagle. She painted the background with black paint. I guess that’s where I get my love of repurposing things and stencilling/ arts and crafts.

Did you try extra strength white vinegar (used for pickling and cleaning) to dissolve that rust? It works like a charm. Ditto for Bar Keepers Friend to remove any post-vinegar residue. Coca Cola is also supposed to be good for dissolving rust, but most any soda pop with citric acid should work as well.

Hello! I'm really enjoying your videos. Just a whole bunch!
While you were working on the lid to that beautiful jar, trying to get the rest off, I just wanted to suggest that you can use vinegar to remove rust on most metals. The stronger acidity/percentage the better. My uncle restored cast iron for over 60 years and he always started with soaking cast-iron skillets and cooking vessels in vinegar before continuing the process with various tools. Give it a try!

I jump from project to project also lol don’t feel bad. I think we all do it, as for removing the rust the best way is to put your rusty lid in some vinegar try six hours and see if the rust falls off or maybe it needs to 24 hours depending on how much rest there is after that put some baking soda on it to neutralize the acid and presto you have a rust free lid 😊

    • @karakreations1103

Another way to remove rust without using much vinegar, soak paper towels in vinegar and place your rusty object in a Ziploc bag covered with those paper towels

I like to put my clothes on the line with the hanger. That way they are ready for the closet as I take them in. I just use a close pin to space them out on the line. This keeps them from sliding on the line.
