That's what I did on both! XD
sprint, pop shields, pray, and cheese the end with force cloak once I'm 10 feet from the datacron.

TNX a lot for simplifying the whole process of getting the parts parts for the Personal Heat Shield to get into one of the hardest timed long jup puzzles in the whole Datacaron Collection . I was stuck a few times on Hoth , Ord Mantell and off cause Iokath. Being an Imperial Sniper wasa a bit tedious even with an overall item Rank around 340 with Legendary Status.
I had some help form my healer HK-51 companion and the Legacy in Instance Jet Pack (with a 20 sec reboot) , even with that help I died at least a dozen of times and learned how to use my Class escape tool called Covered Escape across the lava patches.
The whole thing behind the timed zones was an other obstacle to get through without any quick solution for the Champion Mini bosses was a neat mess, I was afraid at first but then i figured they can kill me before the Gates close and my position would be right the the next step of the journey.
No the Lava Patch I figured out how a stay out of combat to use my Legacy Jetpack and the Covered escape to get onto the furthest of the land tile, and onto the upward slope to gert to the higher cave.
Then the Big Legendary Probe droid and it's messy helpers, which should to targeted right away when they appear if long distances are thing for the
class and send your companion after the second puller probe. This happens only twice in the whole fight and after you get the explosive thing of the big droid you have to rush to the Final Door.
And when you can see the Datacron just get the missiles, and start to pull the puller droids though the missiles, afterwards the Big Dudes come for you where you can use the Heroic Moment , to survive and bring the whole search to an end. )))

Man, playing as a Gunslinger makes the grapple probes so much less annoying, because you can simply pop your hunker down ability, and be immune to grapple. It's really nice, especially on the last stretch.

Thanks for the video. Regarding the probe boss fight, I aggro'ed it into the tunnel with my back to wall to not deal with the push backs and adds. Makes the whole fight alot easier.
They must have patched this, because now the boss resets when you try to LOS

Thanks for the guide, super helpful! Those grenade launchers only did some stunning for me for the golden adds, but no damage, so did die a few times, but was able to be locally rezed where I needed to. Then at the last lava run/add phase I used both guild perk Hasten and my own force speed to get as far as I could. Died there too, but also got locally rezed right at the datacron altar, so.. it's still a chievo xD

Agent was the dream class for this one! flipping around , stealth , jetpack, poison dps. Sorc can do pretty much the same thing PLUS having the teleport in case you fall or get pushed by bots. for the last part i didnt even have to fight since theres the escape ability. worst case you have a 30 second probe to repawn :D

Thank you for that nice guide! At the last part i pull a droid with the cannon and hide in the little triangle Steel beam just near that point you put up the cannon and wait. PS: if u die, u have to start from the beginning. It's not possible to respawn where you die anymore.

Super easy when you find out what to do. for the boss if you melee as me just pull him away a bit from the small droids (put you range companion away from aoe). after you open the door go inside and send you companion to kill small droid before you go your self then just kill big boys and take your datacron. you are welcome =). area quest you get at the beginning didn't finished properly and door at the end didn't open o outside. ticked is up.
Thanks. Very helpful, but one thing. Thank The Mighty Force they not repaired blasted door, cuz i killed damn droid after 5 tries (and succeded this try only cuz of bugged rope which holded me long enough in fly status so i could ignore big droid's throw pulse) and then i died on lava after blasted door and they send me to start. Guess they let you use med probe if you died on rock surface. Thought gonna need to kill it again... But worked out.
For the last part, I died in last stretch at first and had to respawn all the way back and do it all again.
But I also found a "trick", looks like companions are immune to the lava, so I aggroed the grappling droids using the high powered rocket launcher from far distance and moved back in cover, then my companion dealt with them and progress was easy afterwards ^^

for anyone struggling with the troll like timing of the grapple droids at the end, you can los pull the droid a bit to the cave, there tey cant pull you:) thanks for the good guide, dulfy would be proud.

@@IllevaSWTOR yeah this datacron took me all day, I was so upset that I made a forum post about it.
You need to have done Iokath storyline to do this quest chain. Also, only the character that does the quest chain is able to get the buff for doing dailies. Only one person can loot the data pad, which @Illeva found by Greel (in case you are doing this quest chain in a group). I played as a tanking assassin with 336 Tank gear, and was unable to kill the droid before it would kill me (with companion set to DPS) with companion set to healer, the adds would grapple me, and knock me off a cliff. So the game incentivizes you to play DPS. Tried to get a friend to help me, and they said the door was red for them, and they couldn't get in to help me. I tried to LOS around both the north and south hallways around the cliffs, but the boss would just reset. I must have bugged it because now fighting without LOS the boss is resetting. After spending almost 6 hours (including doing the quest chain in this video) I think I am going to take a break, as I now have to farm 340 blue gear, so I can get DPS gear for a DPS spec, might have to watch youtube videos to know how to play a DPS Inquisitors, since I have only played healers and tanking Inquisitors. So I would need to learn a new spec, and get new gear for that spec., Tried this again, when a friend suggested I use my healing gear, and stay in tank spec, using a healing adrenal for the extra mastery and power. Killed the guy, but got to the end stretch where you said to run to the end, tried to run to the end, droids pulled me in lava, beasts stunned me in the lava, and I died. only option to rez was outside the instance,, so they must have patched that. Since I had to start all over. Also the rocket launcher no longer does damage, it just knocks the Savrip Stunners back and interrupts their cast. Including my break, it took me 11 hours and 30 minutes to get the datacron, but the quest Lava Problems didn't complete, so I had to teleport out of the instance. Glad I got the datacron, sad that after all that work the quest bugged.
Just wanted to note that the final stretch of lava does have some spots that force you to rez out of the area and start the whole path over at the quest pickup. I died on a platform that is apparently not really safe( game considers it lava?) by the grapple droid you said would be the biggest pain ( and he was!) and was not given an option to revive at my location..only med center. Your guide is wonderful!
I few people have made me aware of that. Hence why I think run and pray is the best approach now XD

You can drag the champion probe droid away from the edge so if you do get pulled the push will not push you off the edge

The best healing companion is without a doubt Z0-0M, but if you don't have her, any companion that is ranged and high level.

i killed the boss to get the Kessan Landing DATACRON , pickup the detonator , when a aririve to the door , ualaaaaaaaa not working , thats suck....its glitched ?

I'm trying this with help but when we got into the instance with the champion droid it put us both in our own instance while we were grouped so we could see ourselves (purple indicators) on the minimap but could not run the mission in the lava actually together. could it be because we both ran all the missions leading up to it together? makes no sense.
That is interesting. I am gonna have to test that further. I hope you can bring a friend who might not have the mission, but is just tagging along, but I don't know yet :/
Edit: I got the datacron solo. I tried it with a high geared companion. and turned on passive mode for the boss so they didn't get launched. Unfortunately i died and accidentally clicked medcentre at the end so i had to run it twice. I beat the boss a second time and got through to the end
I can get all the way to the boss, but can't solo it. Stupid companion keeps on getting knocked off and I cant heal and die in seconds. I hope someone who is also enthusiastic about collecting all the datacrons can reach out. I am on the Auspac server (Shae Viszla) this makes Makeb seem like childs play.
I was able to stay on my mount all the way through the lava.

So annoying I Make it to the first big door and it didn't open . I have reset it and tried several things the door opened once when i reset but no shield needless to say . ( will try tomorrow. Other then that your guide was amazing ! can't say that for the quest though (
You said something about bringing a friend if you can't beat the droid in the instance. but how do you bring a friend into the instance? I tried every way I can think of to bring a frind into the instance.
It seems to be bugged atm, but I tested it. Enter the phase after picking up the quest, then leave it and let it reset. Your friend can then enter the phase through a red Personal Phase wall, before you pick up the quest on the wall. Your friend enters your instance, even when you don't have it active yet.
Did they nerf the damage on the high-powered missiles? Every missile I shoot at the gold guys does like 2% of their health, which is a far cry from what you show in the video. Just wondering if they nerfed it or I'm doing something wrong because I can't survive those gold guys.
Not from what I know. I can try and test it myself, to see if there's a change.
@@IllevaSWTOR I would appreciate that if possible. The interrupt/knockback is still effective but my class skills were doing more damage than the high powered missiles.
The door at 49:24, what does it mean if it had a dome shield on it and wont let me place the bomb?
Then you have to call the droid again, defeat it and get to the door in time
You've stated in this video, towards the end that if you struggle with this part you can bring a friend along to help. But I went looking on the fleet for a tank to aid me and was told that this can't be shared. So can it or can't it?

im having a really annoying issue at 41:51, i did everything like how you showed, i did everything like how swtorista guide said yet all i keep getting after clicking these is "access denied" and despite doing them exactly like you did its always the same and nothing happens, when i click them i just get "access denied" instead of "engaged" like you do, is this a bug or am i missing something?
Edit: yes i have picked up worn access card, still says access denied.
It could sound like a bug. I tried many different combinations until I hit the correct one, and then repeated it several time, and then wrote it down.
@@IllevaSWTOR This thing is the buggiest mess Ive encountered - I had guild chat filled with people complaining about some impossible to open door that shouldn't be there to begin with, people dying to lava on places where there is no lava, impossible to interact consoles, scan target missing and other issues. I think you do great job, the devs though ... not so much. I personally think I will wait for a while maybe 7.6 to get this one because there are a lot of issues there apparently.

Sadly the phase don't allow to "bring a friend" - we tried. A he has had the problem that he havn't the access card and we don't know where to search for it.
Interesting. I would think you'd both need a card at least, but I was under the assumption you could share the instance. Gonna have to test that.

After todays patch, i cant even log in this game anymore.
incredibly annoying, dedicate a few hours for this one. did this on a 339 merc, for some of the areas just run through and wait for them to evade, beats fighting them. i'm sorry makeb datacron i will never complain about you again

To be honest in all of this video and all missions, all of it 48 min in the video, all waste of time and effort , stupid , and to mention.BORRING.
the most intressting in this video is las 5 min of the datacron hunt....all the rest is pure waste of time.
And i give a damn what other want to say or tell me, my opinion and thinking, deal with it.
Was so borring allmost fall a sleep few times...till last 5 min...
incredible, waste of time on the recording over nothing, when it could just be last min of recording showing how to reach the datacron, end of story.
But wasting over 45 min of recording...pls.
Next time, try to make it short with only what need to be done in fast way to get the darn datacron.
