Good information I have never heard discussed before. Thanks!
Great video well done very relax 🤙 thanks 🙏
Very good info I wasn’t aware of. Thanks guys
Glad I'm a veteran. I paid for my SRRV a few weeks ago as part of the EED program. I didn't know it only cost only 10 bucks a year to renew. Wow! Thanks, Gio.
And here’s another thing to keep in mind whenever you do a 13 a or an SRRV you’re going to be asked to produce a police record of your history if you have anything on that police record even if it’s a misdemeanor you will be denied a 13 -A even if you’re married and definitely denied an SRRV so if you know you have something on your police record even if it was 30 years ago it doesn’t matter you will be denied either one of those visas for permanent residency so don’t even go through the process I had a couple buddies that had misdemeanors that were decades old and they flat out got denied an SRRV
Sad they do not consider the reason and how long ago it happened...
@@thaimaxcan you would think they would in the United States they probably do but in the Philippines they want to clean record all the way around I guess they’re thinking is once a bad person always a bad person the people simply don’t change just because it’s three or four decades old I guess they believe if you had the character to do those bad things before a character is something that never leaves you I think that’s their thinking so yeah if there’s anything on that record except for traffic violations I’m sure they don’t care about shit like that but that wouldn’t be on your police record they are looking for misdemeanors theft anything that got you in trouble with the law no that won’t get you kicked out of the Philippines it’ll just keep you from getting permanent residency so you’ll have to keep purchasing and extending the tourist visa
@@Traveling-boomer Kind of crazy on the clean record for misdemeanors, if your in my age group under 40 crowd and American. Really a flip of the coin whether you got something or not. Everything is electronic now and so many changing laws, including how there enforced, where it doesn't take much to get arrested. I got an underage consumption in marines at a house party for just being there, it is a misdemeanor. Go to a college campus in US could be a Tuesday night, future doctors, police, lawyers will be hammered everywhere. You can get DUI on sleep medication, or asleep in your car. Guess what no long term stay. Old timers didn't have much of a problem of any of this. I've been to PI a couple times, thought about long term stay or longer stay, but can't even consider with all my success and income. It's a decent place, but as non sex pat it's not really worth it when I can just live on beach in Florida.
Ok I was looking at the clearance for me. They are not looking where I was living before they are just looking here in the Philippines 🇵🇭. It is kind of strange maybe I was miss lead by reading the requirements
That police record is it all the way back home or just in the Philippines. According to what I read it is only a clearance from the Philippines 🇵🇭 not from United States etc i may be wrong
Great video thanks
You bet
Hello guys! Enjoy your vacation in Phils... Have a great day
If your wife pulls your 13a visa, she also kisses goodbye to your money😊
until you die then she gets a portion of your pension...
Your information was good as I've seen some bloggers giving wrong information about the SRRV .
someone has already said it's$360 a year fee for normal SRRV which is correct.
If you want can renew for three years if you want.
Also with the SRRV you can get a senior discount card if over 60 .
I have it and it saves money when buying food in restaurants and a discount on dental and prescription medication.
This has been beaten to death. The Senior Citizen card is just that and no visa grants citizenship. Having one and using it doesn't make it legal.
@@daspicer1 I don't know what you mean I have the discount card and it's perfectly legal.
I'm not a citizen but a permanent resident
I did it 12 years ago but I did my driver's license conversion in one day. Easy as pie.
I read on the gov website that SRRV deposit for older is 10,000 usd if you have a pension but 20,000 usd without a verified pension.
Do you need some type of fixed address in the Philippines to process the SRRV Visa? I've got 15 moths to go before retirement (hopefully this Covid crap will have run its course by then). My plan is to come for 4-6 months and spend a month in a different Province, different Island, and figure out the best place for me. It looks like my best bet is to limit my stays at first to 5 moths or less, to avoid the outprocessing with imigration.
I am certainly going to use my DD-214, and get that SRRV Visa going...Thanks for the info Gio and Sean
I'm a Filipino US citizen (not dual citizen yet) glad to see this channel.
Just subscribed. Cheers!
Being dual will save you visa fees.
Thx Gio and Sean...contact info for JRC ?
10k you can invest in a condominium for a property. You cannot buy land.
Thx for the info on the ssrv, as a veteran myself it will save me peso’s, lol.
Hey Gio. That rain you are getting is what has been hitting us over here for a week. It’s been a tough week of nothing but hard rain for a week. It just let up today.
Here too finally
2 questions. To get the 13A visa, do I need to provide a complete criminal history or just a background check? On the tourist visa, would a 24 hour out of country trip at 5.5 months be sufficient?
Thanks
I’ve looked at the SRRV visa option, but as I don’t intend buying anywhere there, or long term leasing, so I can use the 10 thousand dollars deposit, I’m not sure it’s a viable option, as much as I would like the advantages that come with it. You being much younger Gio, living there full time, and having the much cheaper ex military option, wouldn’t it be a better option for you than keep renewing the tourist visa ?
Just received my SRRV last week. JRC provided complete service to get it done. I first looked into doing it myself before I knew about JRC. The email I received from the PRA was confusing and complicated so I delayed then heard about JRC from some channel on youtube and contacted them. They made the process very smooth for me and are well worth the $450 I paid for their service. I paid a total of $3000 I think. I'm a vet which lowered the cost greatly. Gio's guest does a good job describing how they helped.
Retired Navy here! I had no idea about the SRRV Visa. Only $2,900? That’s awesome!
SSRV requires police report from state or FBI, and had to be apostolled in the states. Show paperwork to show at least 1500 income monthly.
The USCIS filing fee for a spousal visa or fiancee visa is $535.00 plus additional USCIS fees
Has anyone heard anything about extending a tourist visa beyond the 36 month period because of pandemic? I know you are supposed to leave country and then able to return, but for foreigners who are from "yellow" or "red" countries like USA, how can you travel out of country and return without issues? I have been vaccinated and booster shot here. Just wondering if anyone has heard anything from BI. Salamat.
I processed all documents by myself for 13a visa and do not recall a single document needing my wife's signature. Moreover, family is a Constitutional obligation of the government to protect. So, how can marriage be protected by requiring a spouse on 13a visa be required to exit the country forever when legal separation is lawful under statute? Perhaps, you should check the validity of certain comments about a Filipino spouse's ability to end 13a visa with a Makati or BGC law firm that will go on record in your vlog.
Reg SRRV is $360 a yr
I got 3 six month visas in a row at J Mall before I got my SRRV
I just filed for my 13a marriage visa last week in Dumaguete and it was php 30k for express service. (1 month) The website says its only about php 8k so I'm not sure where the extra was due but I wasn't going to argue with Immigration lol. Next week I go to Cebu to do the biometric scan.
I’m going through that right now. Yes money 💰 requirement lol or under table lol not sure 🤔 let me think 🤔 only in the Philippines 🇵🇭
Balikbayan Visa/Privilige gets you in Philippines for up to one year, free entry no exit clearance and you can enter now without a visa, just show up with your spouse. Step Children who are US citizens can enter as well with this.
I have been married to my wife going on 32 years and plan to retire to the Philippines soon. Would you still recommend the SRRV over the 13A?
I live in the Philippines. I researched all the options. I contacted JRC in Cebu they are simply the best at Visa work. I had them do my 13 A their great and honest.
Hey Gio Danny here, the guy that offered you a place to stay in Colombia when I get it built.
thanks for the info on the SRRV Visa. I know you are not an official on immigration but I was wondering between you and Sean, which is better, 1.) getting a Military SRRV after being in the Philippines with a Toursts Visa, or getting all the documentation in your home Country first.
It's a lot to get done with all the document Apostilation, Etc. Would it be easier to do it in The Philippines?
Well, because the pandemic they are letting you do it in your home country now.
Gio I don't know if it is still a possibility but with the tourist visa when you arrive at the airport you can apply for a 30 day extension for a small fee
Yes, you can.
I have been going to the Philippines for the last 18 years as a Balikbayan with my wife, and will be apply for a 13a , when we get there next year, the ACR-I card is good for 5 years and is renewed one month before expiry. I got my Philippine DL last year, and it was easy. I was wondering about tourist overstay? is waved there at this time or what? I thought you could get your tourist visa extended for 6 months at the J Mall in Cebu?
Phil DL just pay a fixer only $40 to expedite. A lot of people have done it even the locals.
How much is the renewal of the ACR I after 5 years ?
Hi. Do you have any idea what should include in medical checkup for SRRV visa? Is there anything specific they want to see included in it?
They're looking for any contagious disease, or any health problems regarding disable condition, plus x ray picture is required.
Question Gio, do we have to be 50 years old for The SRRV Courtesy is designed for former Filipino citizens (ages 35 and up) and foreign nationals (50 and up) who served in diplomatic or similar roles. ... SRRV Expanded Courtesy covers foreign nationals who served in the military, receive a monthly pension of at least , and make a visa deposit of $1,500
Only 50 and up they changed it.
There's a lot of stuff you have to do to stay there long term,
13A marriage visa: i just read 30,000 Php = $600 USD or $750 CDN
Hi Gio... What happens with returning philippinos that have balikbayan, can you bail out before the year and get back in again, ifso how many times can you do that do you think
You can do it multiple times
@@GiointhePhilippines Thanx for that... 3 weeks and counting
It is interesting that many expats in Thailand complain about the rules and complexity here but you two have made it clear that the Philippines has its own version of immigration complexity. As we say in Thailand . . . same same but different 🙏. On balance though it sounds like the Philippine retirement visa is cheaper and comes with fewer visits to immigration. The bureaucracy in the Philippines seems to be much worse.
@@hectorgubat Why would someone dependent on SS be an undesirable? Quality expats come in all shapes and sizes.
I got my drivers license with no problem, and I’m 73 on a tourist visa
How or what you gotta do to extend your stay after or before the thirty days are up??
Just a quick visit to immigration
@@GiointhePhilippines do I just ask they that I want to stay longer? That's it..
Hello Gio and Sean. Just wondering if Sean has to return to the State to finish any of the process or does JRC handle everything for you? I totally appreciate the information. Thanks in advance
No, he doesn't.
@@GiointhePhilippines That's exactly what I wanted to hear. Thank you so much Gio and continue your great work with your videos. We all appreciate your work
Gio those polyester shirts look nice. But what about the odor on those shirts. Polyester can start smelling funny after a while.
Just give away and buy a new one. No big deal.
try wearing cotton in that climate...... soaked in 10 min. poly wicks sweat away from your body so it can evaporate. I snow ski, hike, etc. active = poly 1st layer.
I am a 32 year old disabled veteran, is there an option for long term visa for someone in my situation? I don't want to have to do visa runs all the time.
Military SRRV. $1500 deposit and about $1500 to process it.
Well on a tourist visa how can I draw money from the bank. The other visas sound to expensive.
Just use your ATM
do you still have to get a throw away ticket when entering?
If you have a long term visa no
32 yr old with a VA rating of 100% no wife no kids no debt I’m really considering moving to the Philippines with 3300 a month forever
live like a king on 3300 /month hard to spend it unless you want to live in a big house with a pool
I was told by Calvin at Sunshine Shoulders that you can open a bank account on a tourist visa.
Every bank and every branch has their own rules but you'll be hard pressed to find a bank that lets you open n account on a tourist visa.
No problem for me to open an account at BDO and another at PNB, on a tourist visa.
I have opened an account at BPI and PNB on a tourist visa.
@@solarguy1702 how long ago was this?
@@rosecgi what year was did you do this?
If I come to the Philippines on an SRRV visa, Do I need a round trip ticket or can I just pay for a one way ticket? Ticket prices are high now.
One way
Do they accept a retired law enforcement as military veteran equivalent for SSV?
No, they don't sorry.

13 A to stay permanently in Philippines 🇵🇭 around 10,000 plus. I never checked about becoming a filipino citizens for the requirement and the cost and are long it would take to get it. 13 A is what my wife is taking for me. Because she is my wife I’m in the Philippines 🇵🇭 without paying for one year the visa to stay. Like a break for a year because of the marriage which is nice. I understand 13A is not the most secure if you are not getting along with your wife. She could pull it any time from me because she is the one in charged of my state. Interesting I will look at becoming a Filipino maybe I should get a sun tan to blend better here 😂 thanks for the video
How do I contact JRC service?
facebook.com/jrcvisa.cbu.ph/
Bro I’m out y am i still in the damn country Thant you USA for all you have given
The only person that talks any sense
JRC gets $1050 now... $550 upfront & $500 upon arrival, the other side... So they've doubled in costs?
That sucks. Robbery in action
13a visa, you are under your wife's thumb. SRRV much better way to go
if your under your wife's thumb that's your own fault. If she did that she would be saying goodbye to you - and if she would do that it's coming sooner or later anyway. you have alternatives.
