I dont know if this is true but im worried my son started watching tv at 6 months old bec i was so scared he would put things in his mouth so i kept him in the crib most of the time watching tv until 1 oclock in morning and little contact with him and he was so behind in talking and did not know how to play with toys is going to speech therapy took away tv and he goes to ky room every five min to chech and see if tv is on and as soon as i turn on tv you can see the change in his face he gets so happy he start smiling and jumping up and down wont even look at me bec ge is so focused on tv and he can be playing in another room but as soon as he hears the tv he will stop what he is doing and run to my room and watch tv and now that i took tv away i can see a big difference in his interaction with me he has no problem with sensory or eating loves to eat is starting to play with me looks for me in another room does not line up toys is not obsessed with any toy he has not interacted with kids since he is the smallest and his older sister is 14 Rarely take him out always stay with his dad or older sibling bec i felt it was hard for me to do my errands and deal with him so when i started taking him out shopping he had a hard time did not take him long to get adjusted and now he is happy going out i get hom dressed and he stands by the door bec he thinks we are going out so i dont know if it was the tv the lack of human ineraction or if he is autistic he giggles whe i tickle him play pick a boo patty cake and gas just started giving me high five therapist say he does everything they ask of him abd that he is so smart but only says word when he feels like it and most tomes he says it so low you can hardly hear it so im confused
My son turned 4 years 10 days back ago,I have one query whether he is having virtual autism or classic autism.because my son can say alphabets and number and recognise them can sing rhymes in our mother tongue and English repeat each word if i say to repeat follow few commands, socilaization was there, have behavior issues like bitinga and picky eater, doesnt fork sentences to speak so stopped screen to 0 from past 30days.waiting to see him speak as normal kid....whats yo know is this virtual autism or classical autism.?
I have a question, what physical symptoms you meant here? Sorry I am suffering with my daughter she turned 4 now. But stopped tv only 3 months, seeing awareness after that, little engaged, and little eye contact after it. Following simple comments. But still you know behavior issues there. She rhyming, scripting from tv shows. She had screen time since 4 month old till 3.7old was all day long almost a day, less parents interaction. That's why we think it can be. She was ok till 18 Month old
does it really matter if it is or not? you will need to teach your child from the ground up, so that she can replace the scripting with functional play. Go learn how to www.skool.com/aos
I get the point that it doesn't matter if it's virtual or classic autism. However I won't ever agree with term "Do more diagnosis which is actually therapy". Diagnosis is all about finding the root cause, where therapy is to fix the sympthoms. By curing the sympthoms you will never know if the root cause will occure again.
Well that’s an unfair comment for parents of children with real Autism to hear. Autism isn’t a tragedy or a thing we should be trying to ‘fix’ or be ‘glad’ my child doesn’t have ‘real’ autism

Maybe you should fully eliminate screening and see if his behavior improves.

It's ok to disagree, therapy isn't to fix symptoms btw
Knowing its not classical autism gives a lot less stress😊
