I’ve been watching you since I was in high school, now I’m a lawyer…time flies
Congrats on your amazing achievement. Your loyal support for such a long time speaks volumes about you. You are the embodiment of "onward and upwards". Thank you so much!
Best regards,
TGV
Ps. I have to ask, what is your daily watch ups wear the most for work?
This is turning out to be a not to be missed series. Watch collections from watch enthusiasts.
🙏🙏🙏🙏 I really hope so, thank you!
Best regards,
TGV
Agreed, love this series!
@@theurbangentryYo "TGV", get the understanding, "everyone is in the system"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
True. Need more of them!
Agree totally.
The respect and humility you show while engaging with your viewers collections, regardless of your own thoughts and feelings on the pieces, is so heart warming!
This is such a great series TGV. I love seeing the collections of "normal" people with truly affordable watches that almost anyone can buy and enjoy. Cheers, Louis.
Thank you Louis, 🙌🙌🙌 So glad you appreciate it, to me it is far more interesting.
Best regards,
TGV
Breath of fresh air . 👌
These are quickly becoming my favorite videos
Thanks for producing it TGV!
And thanks to those who shared their collection!
Can’t tell you how much fun and how refreshing these videos are! How can you not love people who can simultaneously, have room in their hearts for a Glashutte Original and a Goosebumps watch?!?! Love it.
The sincerity and joy of this series is heartwarming. The community vibe and the positive energy of our TGV is contagious. I might need to send a video myself, something I thought I would never do for a UA-camr, but how can you not love everything about this.
Watching this in my goosebumps watch 😎 great episode! Thanks for having me on the show.
So with the first reaction video I was so excited about having my own collection featured that I couldn't appreciate the format to its full potential. This time I can enjoy the Gentry's watch variety and especially seeing very different collections so unique and appealing in their own right. Thanks again and my guess is that you are having a good time, too.
I absolutely love these review videos. Your reaction plus the collector’s history behind each one is very compelling.
Digging the Timex love in this episode. First watch I ever owned was an Expedition.
I'm impressed, not only by the watches on display here, but by the degree of maturity shown by the owners! At 18, I was passing blind judgments with no humility or understanding of others lives "The less you know, the more you affirm". This is simply amazing. Bravo messieurs!
Enjoyed seeing these collections! The first one stood out for me, not because of the watches, but because I appreciate the thought that has clearly gone into building it. Looking forward to seeing more of this!
Love these videos. Trsitano, you've somehow managed to attract a great, positive and erudite community of young men around the hobby. No snobs, no flashiness, just purely into the craft and the history and heritage of the hobby. About half the pieces shown were quartz. What other channel would you get this on? ❤ Best watch channel on UA-cam always
Couldn't agree more!
And, attracting an older blue collar collector like me...
I could watch these collection reviews all night. Choosing 3 or 4 pieces from my collection is an impossible task. Love them all ❤ TGV la classe et tout le raffinement d'un homme extrêmement cultivé.
I really enjoy viewing these affordable collections. I’ve found myself gravitating this direction.
Thank you, seeing other collections and being introduced to new brands I have never seen just fuels my passion for time pieces.
Great job.
These videos are a blast. My inexpensive and humble collection doesn’t hold a candle to most of these, but maybe someday it will as I continue my journey through watch collecting. Will had the most eclectic and fun collection of the video IMHO. Great show as always! Cheers! 🥂
I absolutely love these review videos, Please continue.
Thank you guys for submitting such stunning videos and watches, this is a great format TGV. Cheers
When he whipped out the pearl dial Meistersinger, I jumped out of my chair a little and said Shwing!
Much respect to the collectors who shared their journey with us. Let's keep this series going, loving it. Cheers, D
Great series, TGV! I like also the screen layout with the embedded enthusiasts’ videos. Definitely, please keep producing new episodes!
Every time I see your intros and see cutaways to your grandfather’s pocket watch, it’s just incredible. It reminds me of my grandfathers and their daily wear pocket watches. How I wish I had those pocket watches as a tangible connection to the many wonderful memories of them both.
This renewal of videos where we get to see the watch collections of others along with your commentary is absolutely the best! I have such a passion for vintage watches and seeing the early Seamaster in the one collection was pure joy. Very well done🥃
Hey TGV, very charming how you give these collections your honest and kind attention. I'm a bit reluctant to share mine as I own a few very expensive pieces. I feel this format is more for the simple joys in watch collecting. Keep it up, buddy.
Thanks to you I got into Davides videos and absolutely love them!
👏👏👏 Grande!!!!!
So happy to hear that. thank you.
Best regards,
TGV
Really enjoying this series. Hope you keep doing more in the future.
Great video! I love watching these videos. That JDM Seiko was fantastic! Cheers my friend!
Love checking out other peoples collections! The Pure Class award is awesome!
Love this video series! It's so much fun to see the collections of other enthusiasts and hear the stories that connect them to the watches. Perched on the edge of my computer chair excited to see the next one!
What a great video series! Today's episode had some real gems in it. So inspiring to see other people's collections, too.
This is such a great series. Keep them coming TGV and thank you all who’ve contributed.
This is a great series! Thanks for your hard work and thanks to everyone sharing their collections. Best regards!
TGV's intro is pure class - love the reference to his grandfather and to old pre-war London.
(About time TGV was clocked on misty Norfolk turf again too, if you ask me!🙃)
It will happen soon! I miss the UK so much, especially those Norfolk skies.
I hope you are well JB! Always great to hear from you.
Best as always,
T.
Thanks for this awesome series TGV. So many great watches at all price points bringing us joy. This is what the hobby is all about.
I'm happy to see that this has actually become a series. What a nice concept, looking forward to many more.
As a German, one thing that didn't sit right with me was the way the last gentleman and fellow German talked about that Stowa flieger. That was much too close to some terrible insinuations.
Fantastic video! Wonderful to see other members of the Gentry and their collections. The story behind the pieces makes the collections truly special. Excellent work, TGV. Thank you, as always. Onward and upward, my friend
Been really enjoying these vids TGV. And really nice to see that other collectors aren't following the hype train but following their own heart.
There is something really special about peaking into a fellow watch collectors collection. There are a myriad of varieties and of course, hearing the reason for an event watch is always special. Thanks for doing this TGV, it really is fun seeing your reactions and hearing your impromptu commentary.
All of these fellows had wonderful collections of true watch lovers. It was a joy to watch it.
Great segment to see the youth in the world who are becoming watch enthusiasts keep up the great work really enjoying these segments
Outstanding, this is both entertaining and dare I say inspiration. So great to see what and why other people are collecting. O&U 👏
Really enjoying this series, very refreshing take and interesting to see the variance in collections across locations/ages etc.
Really enjoying these collection videos. You may be the only watch guy doing this. Always love your enthusiasm towards the less expensive, but still classic brands such as Timex, Casio, Swatch and the like as it gives the modest collector something to go for. Big thanks TGV
I'm really enjoying this series, the collections are so diverse, you see ordinary pieces and pieces that are very out there but makes sense in those collections.
It gives you hope for the younger generation.
Seeing The Urban Gentry with a roaring fire behind him really makes me want to have a glass of Bourbon on the Rocks & learn about Classy watches.
TGV….thank you for another episode. Love each one.
As usual a very entertaining show.i really enjoy this new series on other people's watch collections. i very much enjoyed the one gentlemens collection of Longines, but i am a big Longine guy. Thanks again and please keep them coming
That Seiko Aston is a stunner. Not really into the whole integrated Genta thing but that looks great.
Loving the Longines collection too.
The Urban Gentry/TGV, the horology community that you build by interacting with your community and followers is what makes your channel special! Thank you sir
These collection reaction videos are a true hit TGV! I love to catch a glimpse of what other enthusiasts are collecting.
Love the respect shown to other people's tastes. Not every watch is something I'd buy, but still cool to see. That's the beauty of it all.
These are the best TGV! So good to see what like-minded gents choose for themselves, and how they represent stages of life, big moments and their lifestyle! Keep these brilliant videos coming!
I love this format! Sharing collections of real watch collectors
I really enjoyed this video. This is a great series! Please keep doing this. 😎💪
Love the Seiko Astron. It's like a CasiOak that won the lottery :)
Really enjoying the series. Great variety of collectors and timepieces.
It's the diversity and passion behind the collections of 'normal' people in the Gentry which are fast making this a not-to-be-missed series. Love the collections and stories that you're able to share TGV!
The first collection was incredible. Not for extravagance or for cost, but for what matters: the sincerity of collecting in the first place
Thanks man!
@@happydogg312 😂 you said, “bums!” 🍑
Keeping doing this series. Love it
Great to see another watch collection reaction. Let’s be honest we all love to see what others have as it inspires us in so many ways. Keep these coming please TGV
YES another viewers watch collection love these videos so much fun to see the viewers collection really loved the Longines watches super cool looking watches also loved that one handed watch super cool watch.
These are great TGV. Thank you for putting them together and thanks to the fans who have submitted them.
Loving these segments
I love these reviews of other people's collections and your stuff in general, keep up the good work
This brilliant idea for a collectors series can go on indefinitely, bringing inspiration to all of us watch lovers. You have really made a great move for the watch community here, TGV.
And love to hear your reactions to the collections😊
Keep up the good work👍
What's nice is the eclectic choices from the various collections. Really good series and I'm sure there's alot of gentry glued to this.
The 565 movement allows you to change the date by pulling the crown out to its outermost position. I have this movement in my Geneve from 1968.
Greeting from Italy, TGV! Awesome format, reminds me of Davide Cecchini's videos. I actually started following you after seeing a short video of you in a pool in NY (Queens I believe) that was featured on Davide's channel. I'm trying to watch all your videos going back in time and I like what you're doing! Hope your offer to talk about watches in Italian if we're ever in NY still stands!
Keep up the good work!
I’m really enjoying these videos-great insights by you and the participants. One of my favorite aspects is that something comes up in each video that is unexpected usually a watch but sometimes comments as well. Also Mads Mikkelsen, as Le Chiffre, wears a Longines Evidenza Chronograph in Casino Royale.
stoked for these. saving them for over the holidays. carry on good chap!!!!!
Easily my new favorite series TGV! Love it.
This is turning out to be one of my favourite series! I love seeing what others collect and the variety in people’s watch choices. I’ll try and get a video of my collection eventually! All the best TGV, thanks for the content, you’ve reignited my love for watch collecting!
Thanks for doing these videos TGV! Not really sure why these are so much fun, but they truly are! Cheers to the video contributors!
Gerald Genta did design for Seiko. He designed a Credor.
That's a great collection for a student, anyone really. Great choices!
The "train watch", we have very similar clocks on stations here, they'd always run a little bit fast, stayed on 59 seconds for a bit and then at the correct time, would sweep to 00.
Im really enjoying these. I like watching random SOTC videos as it is, so seems a no brainer id enjoy watching other people watching SOTC videos 😅
Great stuff TGV
Don't blame you for continuing to wear the Panerai. Beautiful 👍🏻 I don't recall the name of the first chap, but one thing that comes across from his collection is that although it's inexpensive, it is really classy and covers all areas, dress, diver beater etc, and the compulsory F-91W. So reassuring that younger collectors are getting into proper watches. Loving this series as it helps put my own collection into perspective. I'll hope to do my own video.
Keep up the good work sir 👍🏻
This is a great series. Real watch collections of the everyday person. Keep it up, loving it.
Humphrey Bogart had an Evidenza and wore it in Casablanca -- Pure Class!
So true. I think he was a brand ambassador.
He actually wore that particular piece in alot of his films 🎥 It was his personal piece. Not like today with the lame Ambassadors.
Honestly TGV, I love this series of yours… I just find it more relatable… although I love your solo videos sharing your thoughts too…
It looks like I’ll have to break out my white gloves! A great concept, tastefully executed, good show TGV👏
Fantastic format, so much fun 🫡
I give TGV a lot of credit for keeping it based. Its refreshing to see some attention given to affordable collections.
Great video as always I love how you are always so supportive to each of your fan, keep the good work TGV! By the way spero di mandarti presto il video della mia modesta collezione da studente universitario fuorisede!
Absolutely love these Watch Collection Reaction Videos. Thanks so much as always for the great content.
I absolutely loved this video. The eclectic collections from enthusiasts in different corners of the world are the reason why we all collect don’t we? I don’t know what it is, but I seem to enjoy more the part where collectors talk about the watches they love, that are completely opposite of my own personal tastes. It just fascinates me that a watch I don’t find attractive, is absolutely stunning to someone else. And I’m sure that there are some pieces that I find beautiful that are seen as ugly to others. And the stories, the stories behind why or how they obtained a certain piece is to truly the most magical part.
A great addition to the channel. Your content just keeps getting better and better. Keep up the fantastic work
Great series! Love this. Please keep it up 🙏🙏
Iv had a lot of watches some cheap some very expensive, price and make are not that important as beauty is in the eyes if the beholder, but my favourite watch I own is the Alpinist sarb017 on a asteroid strapcode bracelet absolutely love her.
Very interesting video, TGV! Actually, Genta worked for Seiko. Do you remember the Credor Locomotive model? Thank you and keep going!
Really enjoyed this one mate!
Keep 'Em coming!
That Seiko tank keeps that timeless elegance in such an affordable level, really love that H shape case ( an homage made very nicely done), Will G. have a really good taste for a young fellow! Best Regards! P.S wrist watch check Panerai is super amazing!
Fantastic intro, you should include penalty miss in USA 94 by Baggio. my favorite era. There was so much hope. Great show TGV.
Keep this series going. It is good to get a glimpse into collections
Great video TGV! As always I appreciate your anti-snob approach to watches and horological topics. Cheers from Ohio my friend.
Love the 18 year olds collection! I made a trip to London back in 98. I was 19 and watches I am sure I was wearing but not collecting at that time, I was enjoying the pubs and ability to drink beer under 21. The fish and chips was great too😂
It was an evidenza chronograph that the villain wore in Casino Royale 😎.
Great stuff Guvna.
More of this, please! Great format. 👍
Excellent- really enjoyed the quality of the collections.
