As a Navy guy, I wanted to give the jarhead a bit of grief……, but his collection, personality, and personal views on life were just too good to do anything other than congratulate him! And follow his channel. Thanks TGV for putting him out there. Thank you, Morgan, for your service and sharing your collection. Fantastic!
🤣🤣🤣 I'm glad it turned out like that. Wonderful comment, thank you.
T.
Same....irrationally I was annoyed by his Rolex centric collection. Some may say quite derivative, uninspired, safe and dull. however his message behind his collection was sweet and felt sincere.
Thanks for your service, Morgan! Semper fi !! I dig your collection. 😊 the Rolex haters will hate, but you seem like someone who wears them for the love of the quality, not for flexing.
@@theurbangentryHow do I send in footage of my collection
@@michaelyounes29I agree. At least he had good messages. Too many black dial Rolexes for me.
I was in the wrong military , i could maybe buy a casio f91w with what they paid us 😅.
I know right? I bought a Casio when I was in the service. It was stolen shortly, thereafter.
How much were you paid monthly? How long did you serve? How much money was spent on booze and partying?
I don't have any experience in working in the military. However, I work as a firefighter. I know many people from my rescue dept who have bought nice keepsake watches, to commemorate the time spent in the service, even though the salary isn't great. People who are interested in buying such a memento save money, some even for years. Some consider buying an expensive a watch with such salary dumb. I get it. But when years go by, you get to see shit and meet extraordinary people, and it's time to retire and return all of the equipment, it's nice to have something that has been with you through thick and thin. It's something that I wish to take me back every time I look at it, a small part of the job that I get to keep.
Tell me about it!!!!! LOL!
It is an honor to be featured TGV! Thank you for sharing these wonderful watches with such variety and different experiences!
Thank you so much for featuring me, TGV. I'm honored! Yes, I am indeed Alex M from Boston! To answer your question about the watch on the bottom right, that's my late grandfather's Seiko Solar SNE093. He had a small collection of about three or four very affordable watches and after he passed about a decade ago, I inherited them. I let the others go, but I kept the Seiko. I almost never wear it, but it will forever be part of my collection.
There he is! It was really great to see your watches and finally hear the voice behind the name.
A very unique Seiko, an interesting model I have never heard of and a great way to remember him by.
Thank you again my friend, I love that you are now even more a part of the channel. I hope in the future I can see an update too. O&U!
T.
P.s. Stay strong with that 10 piece collection amount, I'm envious you can do that. 😎🥂
Lmao it sounds like youre not into watches at all. Youre just brand fan boy. And the mail order bride in thailand? Lmao.
Thanks for having me on T! I had a great time talking about these pieces with you and your subscribers! I'm considering a couple of different options but my next watch is something from Christopher Ward... Wink wink... And remember, no Oddjob!
🤣🤣👏👏 Thank you Steve, you video was awesome and a real over due pleasure.
Until next time and looking forward to see what you go for.
Un forte abbraccio!
T.
I loved your section Steve. Reckon you've got the perfect voice for running a youtube channel. And good to see a chap with a similar sized wrist to me. That Greek watch is AMAZING! Fabulous design sense and aesthetics, as well as the reasoning behind the design concepts.
@@wingi7722 thank you for those kind words! It's always great to meet another member of the Thicc Wrist Crew! Hahaha
Could not have spent an hour better on a windy, cold afternoon in NYC. Great job everyone, my submission is coming soon!
Thank you, TGV, for hosting these great collectors on your channel.
I am pretty new to this channel but just wanted to say that I am so glad I found my way here. These videos especially highlighting actual collectors from all walks of life and hearing what their watches mean to them are such a great time.
Thank you and welcome aboard!
Best regards,
TGV
Been here for a good while, proper respectful bunch and an abundance of information, you will feel welcomed and informed I am sure 🙏
Thanks very much for sharing your channel with a fellow U.S. Marine. My wonderful wife gifted me a new TAG, she would buy at the Marine Corps Exchange where ever we were stationed, every time I was promoted beginning when I was promoted to First Lieutenant. I wore Timex Ironmans to work for 22 years. Used my TAGs on weekends and special occasions. I couldn’t afford Rolex, or Omega, when our kids were little. I now have a couple of Omegas, a Hamilton, Casio, and Seiko watches now. I don’t have a Rolex, yet. I would like a new Submariner, but I can’t bring myself to pay a price higher than retail. Semper Fidelis, Lieutenant Colonel, USMC (Retired)
Semper Fidelis Sir, thank you for your service.
You definitely don’t have to pay above retail. Just be the classy gentleman you know yourself to be, make your intentions clear to the Rolex authorized dealer and they will work with you. Best of luck.
I love this series. It's like having a nice conversation with collectors from all over the world. I also have a "one in, one out" rule but, you guys are making it difficult to follow!
Was busy banging out an essay but that can wait. Loving this series, TGV. I think we should have Hugo do a SOTC on here soon with you reacting 🤣🤣🤣 LMAO
🤣🤣🤣 That will certainly happen one day, love that idea. Thank you and enjoy.
Best regards,
TGV
That blue UN diver with perpetual calendar is something else 👌🏼👌🏼
Love these videos
Genius idea for a series of videos, I enjoy seeing these collections from everyone in all price categories. The guy who said the day/date was more useful than a gmt is absolutely correct imo
I really don't see this series getting boring. The variety of collections is brilliant, not to mention hearing really interesting perspectives on people's collecting journeys. Love it!
Thanks for the feature TGV! I’ll add one detail from my vid - the magazine below the VHS tapes is something I picked up during my trip in Japan. It basically showcases a lot of different watches and I would recommend picking up a couple issues if you visit a bookstore during your eventual trip!
I enjoy this concept. It's definitely more interesting seeing the collection of everyday people over sellers and GQ celebrities.
Awesome TGV. So refreshing to see proper engagement and interest in the collections of real people. There are too many uninspiring reactions to vacuous celebrity collections around so lovely to see this
A shout out to fellow Marine and personal friend Morgan Wiebel and his collection review. I got to spend the day with him and his dad last month at the best one stop shopping watch venue, South Coast Plaza in Orange County, CA.
Hey Curt, thanks so much for taking the time to hang out with us. It was an absolute pleasure to talk watches and swap some stories. My dad and I truly enjoyed it.
Thanks so much for the feature TGV. Seeing your reaction to my video just put a huge smile on my face. Also shout out to the other collectors who have fantastic watches. Whether we’re talking vintage Omegas, Hamilton Murphs, or Greek microbrand divers, this video was filled with horological badassery.
This series is a nice addition to the regular content, as you can see many watches through the view of a wearer and not the lens of social media with all the hype/hate that is sometimes relentlessly attached to that content.
TGV, This was an absolute blast! What a great idea you've come up with here. I can't wait for the next one. ...And how about that Seiko Chronograph? That guy's entire collection was sublime.
I love that the lawyer still wears his 30s bulova. Nice attitude there. Great video also. I love it.
Former Navy here. Semper Fi Marine. Brilliant collection
That Breitling B1 of Steve got that operational look to a next level, perfect analog/digital dial! Thanks for sharing the TGV watch community collections. Best regards!
Love this series and seeing other's collections! so fun to hear their personal stories and views on watches and collecting in general. Phenomenal collections all around, some really special pieces seen today! I especially love the bullhead chrono and vintage Seiko panda 6139!
This is such a great series. It’s also refreshing to see a genuine appreciation for others, no matter the monetary value of their collections. Now, where are my white gloves….🤔
Urban Gentry is by far the most underrated watch channel on UA-cam. Big fan from Toronto Canada. Your voice is “Audiobook” quality mate. It’s fantastic.
Thank you so much TGV for providing your audience with this wonderful opportunity to showcase their watch opinions and collection! This truly means a lot to me when watch channels like you have a conversation with their audience and not just lecture the UA-cam audience! I wish more UA-cam channels and even professors/lectures follow your example! Fantastic job TGV! You have made my snow day today less miserable and more warm and sunny!
Stay healthy and well as always!
Thank you!!
Your watch enthusiast, Nick L 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧⏱️⏱️⏱️🦖🦖🦖👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
That breitling and Tudor are gorgeous!!
Tudor Royal is super underrated as a proud own of a steel one the magic on the wrist is something only understood on the wrist.
Shout out to the guy with the s1 lego rally car on the table. instantly had this 5 zylinder sound with the waste gate whistle in my head haha
You'd think you need a g shock being in the Navy. The Filipino guy has a sick Seiko collection, so many models I've never seen🎉
As much as I enjoy the usual content TGV, these videos really take the top award. I thoroughly enjoy seeing the videos and collections of all the gentry!
Love these segments, shows the utmost respect for your channel supporters. Thanks TGV.
Hi TGV
Really love to watch these collectors vids. Interesting to see how different persons kind of links their collections together. Some are very diverse, others more focused on a particular watch style or brand.
Keep up the good work👍
Love these videos! You can tell that you genuinely care about your audience and watches in general. Very refreshing giving that most content creators seem to be hype based or in it for sales these days.
The Hamilton from Interstellar is such a stunning yet simplistic design. Pure class. Hamilton just opened it’s first official retailer here in Finland last week, can’t wait to go and see them firsthand. Happy new year TGV!
A 38mm Murph is definitely next on my list. I absolutely love the design with those cathedral hands and the fact that it was a centerpiece of one of my favorite movies, Interstellar.
love the respect and interest you show towards everybody elses collections. really like these vids along with the regular programming. you are one of the very few that i re watch the content. keep up the great content good sir!
Love love love these videos. I look forward to every post and really need to film my collection to hopefully one day show up on the videos.
So glad to hear that! Thank you and enjoy. Lots more to come, so no rush, until then, I look forward to it.
Best regards,
TGV
Another great collector review. Thank you to the collectors for sending in their footage. Love this series. Cheers, D
Excellent video as usual TGV. This is probably one of the best segments in the watch space. I love seeing everyone's collections. As a retired Sailor, shout-out to Morgan. Great collection but I think he needs some more color in there. Say 64 more colors, eh Morgan? LOL, just some fun USN/USMC humor.
Thanks for the compliment. Yes, the next piece will definitely have a splash more in terms of color 😂 I can’t go too crazy though as I wear all my watches in uniform.
Another excellent review and reaction video! These really are a little Christmas present when they arrive in my UA-cam alerts. Thank you TGV!
Thank you, I love that, very kind.
Best regards,
TGV
Wow, I love these "reacting to collections" videos! 👍👍
That was great. Thank you TGV for these videos. I really enjoy seeing these collections and I hope you keep them coming. ~ Cheers!
Super fun seeing all these collections! Thanks for another great video, TGV!
I'm loving these collection reaction videos. Great work, as always, TGV!
Um dos melhores formatos de vídeos…
Parabéns 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Another great video!
Thanks TGV!
This was a really enjoyable episode. Thank you TGV and thanks to all the contributors.
Super collections ! Thanks TGV !
Love this series for the prime reason that it’s a great way to learn about and be introduced to watches in people’s collections that you may never have heard of or considered.
This is what the watch community should be all about. I’m here for it!
Thank you TGV and all the submissions for sharing your passions with us! Might even consider slipping a submission of my own.
Great way to start this weekend! Thanks TGV!
Thanks for doing these, TGV!
Love these episodes. So much fun, keep them coming. Getting inspired to send my 6 watch collection in at some point.
Fastest hour ever on YT. TGV, thank you for these. Please keep them up. So much fun to watch. I love seeing/hearing about these collections, as well as your commentary. Lots of class out there!
Thanks for posting these videos. It's fun to see what is special to people and hear your professional feedback. Well done. Keep them coming.
I can't get enough of these personal watch collection videos, awesome content. Onwards and Upwards sir!
TGV - I forgot to mention. I happen to be at Moyer’s in Indiana, and I told them the next time you are there, I will fly out to the event with my wife. I love going there. It’s like being in a candy store. The display of watches is incredible. Also, Bill and Gideon provide impeccable service.
Relatively new to watch collecting and new to the channel. Really enjoying going through all the videos as they are helping me navigate my way through the watch world. Love the channel
So happy to hear that, welcome and enjoy the journey!
Thank you,
Best regards,
TGV
Top notch episode TGV! Love this format. Bravo!
Some great collections here, weirdly i found the stories behind each collection more interesting then some of the watches 😅, but otherwise i now have some great options for future acquisitions. Thanks TGV, for hosting these and for sharing great content as usual.
I love this format!
Great Video as always TGV. Keep doing what you do best! Cheers!
Perfection for the weekend!!! Thanks, TGV!!!
Thank you my friend, enjoy have a great rest of the weekend, chin chin 🥂😎

@@theurbangentry I'm just about to take off for the islands, just as soon as I finish the video. Tired of winter already so off I go to the DR! Onward and upward, my friend!!
I recently got into watches and I'm so glad I came across your channel. I've watched dozens of videos and really like your approach to them. I also watched videos from 5 years ago and the recent ones - and it's such a joy that you haven't lost your passion for what you're doing. You keep that energy, and I know how hard it is to be consistent in content creation. I also love that you express your opinion, but you do not present it as the only one that matters. What can I say, I really appreciate that you're keeping up with it! Thank you very much from a person who is just trying to figure out his collecting journey! :)
Fantastic video as always TGV! Great to see some interesting collections from the good gentry.
Best watch channel. At least top 5. Stay classy man. Happy new year. And thank you for remaining a Gentleman.
TGV, I've been watching your videos for 4 or 5 years now.
Your heart is definitely in the right place when it comes to the love of watches and truly valuing your audience/subscribers.
Your videos are so appreciated, and I always look forward to them!
A big thanks!
that means the world to me and inspires me to keep it going.
A big thank you right back at you!
Onwards, upwards and the very best regards,
TGV
@theurbangentry
You're welcome, and thank you. My favorite watch of the video was definitely the white Seiko Panda with the 2 sub dials. What a striking design.
Also, and no pressure here. I bought the Nivada Grenchen ChronoKing "Paul Newman" Orange Mecaquartz. I'm mesmerized by the orange chapter ring, and it's just a beautiful watch, especially at the price point of under $500 USD. Fantastic company.
If you ever want to discuss this watch, I'm happy to lend it for a review. I'm right over the pond in South Jersey. If so, let me know.
The Seiko Tuna Marine Master SBBN035 Ninja with the Legendary 7C46 high torque movement is my favorite Seiko diver.
Always enjoy your content mate - please keep it coming.
Amazing video as always TGV bravo.
This gentleman deserves every single watch in his collection.. and more importantly, he (and all others who have served/are serving) deserve 100% of our respect, ALL OF THE TIME 🫡
Thanks TGV, it’s great to see what the community is up to and to see all the uncommon watches out there and how they connect to the wearer. Loved the Omega Aquaterrra and the rare Seiko divers. Thanks for your efforts mate, this was a great video 😊
My favourite series by far! Thanks for those who shared and thanks for the commentary TGV!
I always learn something about watches with every video you produce and it is always fascinating to see the watch collections of other gentry members. Very well done my friend!🥃
Love the format. Well done. 👏👏👏👍
Really enjoying this series!
love this series TGV and your passion for all these great watches!
Great video. Love the collections. thanks for sharing.
Interesting show. Makes fun to see the different styles. I very much enjoyed the Hanhard trip and looked into their collections. Cheers
That was a great episode, so many good watch collections, it's inspiring.
These videos are a lot of fun. Thank you for the effort 👊
Love these series ❤❤❤👍
Your reactions are priceless. Great see some light and love shown for ordinary peoples collections.
Love these segments and love seeing other watch collectors in their watch journey .
TGV I love these videos! I've been stranded at home with a pretty bad snow/ice storm. So I've been in my home office/hobby room milling about and these talking about watches videos are really nice. Keep up the good work! Long time subscriber to the channel.
Love the channel, keep it up!
great video as always! love the tangents!!
Love the music in the intro. Is it something you put together or is it composition? Love the stache as well! Great video my friend. Cheers 🥂
Wow, it seems like a long nice video with so many interesting topics;)! Thank you, Sir TGV!
Great video as usual. This is your real legacy TGV, a community of gentry sharing their good taste and love for watches. Greetings!
Some amazing collections, love the Ianos, off to watch the power gauntlet episode now. Thanks all for sharing, and of course our host TGV
totally loved this episode!
Thanks for hosting a new episode. Great stories and watch I have never seen. Loved the Greek microbrand and the white gold Bulova.
TGV - first time poster here - found you about 2 months ago! Great content and I didn't realize you were also in the "Philly" area; relatively new "collector" - looking forward to my new Tudor 1926 which is headed my way shortly (started the journey off with a Tissot Gentlemen, Bulova Lunar Pilot and Hamilton Murph)
Great this videos, I like very much!
I could watch these all day 🤣 TGV i don’t know how you don’t loose track of time when you make these
Great vids fellow Gentry. Thanks all for sharing.
