Expect micros/indies to listen to the customers, but rarely from swiss watch giants. Thanks Tissot, this is perfection!
❤
We’ve known about this for a while though
The 35mm is the OG size. So it makes sense
@@DaTr3wyou’re right but even Rolex forget the OG sizes and goes all the way for bigger watches even if it’s a little.
FINALLY A SMALLER POWERMATIC
35>bigger
Blessssssssed
CAPS!
@@Uchoobdoodfor girl wrists maybe
37mm…..
Like it or not, even though Tissot is known for the starting entry into Swiss made watches, they really listen to the fans and customers. Mad respect to Tissot❤️ Much love to Teddy for taking us on this journey🙏
Something Rolex doesn’t do. That’s why I’d rather give my money to Tissot.
Teddy is so humble:) the CEO praises him and he brings the focus straight back to the watch
It's nice to see people appreciating and emphasizing intelligence, poise and humility.
That's one of the reasons I'm a big fan of Archieluxry.
@@julienfroidevaux1143 you fan of big archie thorns?
@@win4400 It's part of the complete package , hope he never gets them ground down .
I really love Tissot.
An excellent quality,
great design, tradition,
and heritage.
You probably won't get the better watches in this price category,
cheap, reliable, beautiful,
and classy.
Exactly, got my first swiss automatic watch from tissot, beautifull watch can not stop looking at it.
@@henkdeklapsteen6787Same. I bought a used Tissot Le Locle for $300 a decade ago and it is the piece that got me into watches. I have “nicer” pieces now, but still wear the Tissot as much as any of them. We’ve traveled all over and that was the watch I was wearing when my daughter was born. I’ve spent more on servicing it than I paid for the watch, but I’ll continue to do so because I love it and it’s a damn fine watch.
@@ugabrewcool story!
Kudos to teddy for interviewing Tissot CEO Sylvain Dolla in person! Sylvain has genuine respect and admiration for Teddy, and it is an honor for a CEO to launch his new products on teddy's channel first! I bought the PRX 80 powermatic and absolutely love it. In case Sylvain reads the comments, the only minor feature I would like to see Tissot add is an adjustable bracelet when my wrist swells in the summer.
Seeing a fraction of all the test was amazing, you always hear “they’re tested in multiple positions” but never get to see what actually goes on in this tests. Thank you Teddy for always producing great content going above and beyond to bring us this type of videos! Awesome!
All those stringent tests and quality controls and some people still question Tissot. This company deserves a lot more credit than it gets. I had a Tissot many years ago. Wore it everyday, did a lot of rough work here and there, sports, swam with it, bumped it more times than I could remember and the thing worked perfectly for many years after I got it. Got the bracelet polished and gifted it to someone, and they still have it today and it works. About two decades after I got it.
Thanks, Tissot, for listening to the crowd. Now, we are one step closer to the GOLD 35mm auto PRX.😊
The one I’m waiting for! 🤞
Can’t wait
+1
Well I’m gonna miss the sunburst of the quartz I’m now used to.. 😂
Really hoping they come out with this!
I love how fun those Sideral S looks! Will definitely be checking them out at the store soon. But above all, I must say I love how humble and passionate Tissot's CEO is. Very down to earth and amicable. It's good to see these type of people behind products you love. Great vid. Thanks!
Tissot is doing lots of rights with the PRX family. Respecting its own heritage, adopting sizes that everyone can wear (people should stop complaining about a 37mm case, because 2mm won't kill), maintaing highly versatile specifications and aesthetics and expanding into a wide range of colours. Others brands should definitely follow. The automatic 35mm is a great addition.
The downfall of this watch is it has a plastic escapement and pallet fork. That is ridiculous for a $800 watch
Not sure if it's just "plastic". How's the reliability on the Powermatic 80?
They need one 37-38. 40 is too big for a lot of people and 35 is too small.
Teddy has got to be one of the most positive forces in the watch world today. A true gift. And you can just tell that everyone around him knows it. Bravo.
Tissot is quickly becoming one of my favorite watch brands. I love the PRX and really appreciate the company’s customer focus. Congratulations on the 35mm PRX, I am sure people will love it.
Tissot have quickly become one of my favorite brands. It's very cool to get a look at the behind-the-scenes stuff, as well as a glimpse of what's in the wings. Thanks for another great video.
Teddy, your channel is the best by far. I really enjoy these interviews and tours of the watch companies showing what goes on behind the scene of watch making!
Just bought a Tissot PRX 35mm Powermatic 80 with green dial. My first mechanical watch since the Bulova automatic my mother gave me in my adolescence over 50 years ago and long since gone. Great finding Teddy's video on the PRX 35mm and learning more about Tissot !
Wow, the amount of testing steps is just mind blowing
as someon also working in the product testing field, love the way they do all of their tests/protocol, and equipments.. thanks for the amazing content!
Outstanding tour! Thanks so much for your help and hard work.
great video 😊 thank you Teddy for revealing the secrets of testing process. now I'm thinking about prx all the time.... simply must have it
As someone with a larger wrist, I don’t need a 35mm but I love tissot for listening and following through with the request of so many that want a 35mm bravo 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
These facility tour videos are great! Thanks.
Teddy, you’re doing a great service to the watch enthusiast community. Thank you!
This is what I like about Teddy. He goes straight to the horses mouth, so to speak, instead of rehashing news blogs. That's top tier. Excellent work, Mr. Baldassarre, safe travels. 🤙
I like your interviews, they are very professional and informative. Meeting with the companies in person is the best way to see what goes on at the source of watchmaking.
So much better than the hype from other channels.
Thanks Teddy that was a great way to spend 21 minutes. I like both of the Tissot releases presented, and a fascinating insight into the test laboratory. I wonder if the add in other real life factors to the test like dirt and sand when testing things like the clasp opening and closing. Hallelujah the 35mm PRX auto!!, looking forward to seeing them in the retail stores.
Best watch content on UA-cam. Thanks Teddy and team for all the time and effort.
And…they STILL make the best rubber straps in the WORLD! ❤
As an engineer, I really enjoyed seeing the durability testing. Thanks Teddy.
Thank You Tissot for listening, and thank You Teddy for giving us voice. 35mm Powermatic finally!
Really stoked to try the Sideral in person, put simply a beautiful timepiece.
Great job Teddy , many thanks for your sterling work and interview skills.
You are without doubt Imo one of the best watch reviewers out there . Keep up the good work and conrats on your recognition by all.
Literally what I have been waiting for!!
Great insight Teddy, many thanks
Quality content Teddy. Thanks for putting this out for us to enjoy!
I’m only a newbie into watches this year, but the most exciting brand for me is TISSOT. Picked up my first Swiss, mechanical in the form of the PRX powermatic 80, what a watch for the price.
Wow the size looks perfect, CANT wait to try this out
Love Tissot, my first mechanical watch is the gentleman bought back in 2020, it's still my everyday go-to watch, aside from the slightly faster time keeping, it's a robust, well made watch that withstood the punishment from on site jobs. The 35 mm is definitely a hit, can't wait to get one!
Thank you TEDDY. Now we know all about the new TISSOT and some models that will arrived pretty soon. It was very interesting to discover the test laboratory . I have never imagine that the push the tests so far. It is a good news .
Facinating to see how they go about testing their products for longevity and quality.
Well done Tissot. Much respect for listening to your customers.
The white is just beautiful. A watch you could really wear and enjoy year after year. What a stunner
Fantastic news, been waiting a long time for this, can’t wait to get one, haven’t decided colour yet !! happy days 😊😊😊😊🇬🇧👍🏻
Tissot is really doing something special, glad they get so much coverage on your channel
Great video and insights. I love my 40mm PRX. Looks big on me, even on the leather strap, but it’s the perfect weekday beater. I wear it Monday-Friday, wear one of my Christopher Wards (or Seagull chronograph) at the weekend, and know my PRX will still be running, Monday. It’s accurate enough that I only think to set it once or twice a month. After a break for Christmas, it has been running continuously since early Jan.
Kudos, Teddy, to you, the Tissot CEO, the ETA testing director and, yes, even the mad team who designed the hammerhead impact machine. Truly hurts to see that done to a precision timepiece.
i got quartz tissot 23 years. it was present from mother. this watch still almost looks like new and working with no issues. 36 for round watch is the best size
Love this! Thank you Teddy 👏🏼
The watch I’ve been waiting for great video Teddy
37mm plzzz
Tissot is such a great watch manufacturer that produces fantastic watches for the masses.
Love my PRX P80, it's about to get even more popular with the new 35, and that MOP version 😍
Still love my green powermatic 80! Wear it most days, actually first time I saw it was through your videos! Great insight into Tissot
I could take or leave the prx, but oh, the things i would do for a green dial gentleman. Cutrently saving for one.
That blue 35mm powermatic PRX will definitely be my next watch now, all I’ve been asking for! Glad it’s the original blue one too!
Very informative video. Thanks for the tour of the lab.
This behind the scenes look at the punishment and strenuous testing a Tissot is put through before it reaches the end user's wrist inspires a great deal of trust and confidence in this historic brand.
Wow, great stuff Teddy!
This just secured the PRX future legendary status. Complete package👌
I received the blue one for my birthday
Teddy is killing it. The Longines exclusive and now this with the Tissot CEO.
Great video as always, much love ❤
Saving up for a PRX. It will be my first entry into proper watchmaking
Fascinating! Thank you.
THANK YOU for the 35mm PRX! Perhaps a smaller version of the Sideral S too in the future?
Fo shoo! Been waiting for this🔥
Perfection! ive been waiting for this. It'll be my second watch and will look nice next to my Tissot Le Locle Powermatic80
Great job with the 35mm Powermatic, Tissot! I will be getting one. Too many watchmakers are releasing new versions of their high-demand classics, but always making them bigger. They're classics for a reason!
Awesome! I love my quartz 35mm PRX and absolutely plan to pick up an automatic in 35mm. Have to decide between the blue and green.
Finally! Been waiting for the 35mm powermatic
One of the most educational watch related videos I've seen! Great work.
Very good to see a 35 mm automatic.Hoping for possibly a 39 mm PRX chronograph in the future.
About dang time we got the PRX in the 35mm. The 40mm version always seemed too large proportionally but this is just perfect. And excellent timing too, as the trend now is a downsizing of watches back to the midsize 36-39mm range.
The Sideral isn't for me, but I appreciate that they stay true to its roots, and doing it in a carbon fiber case is genuine too. Just as fibreglass was a space-age material of its time, so is carbon fibre in today's era.
New subscriber. That was great ! Good to see Mr. Tissot guy being so enthusiastic about the new models, and taking an interest in what people want. I think a $1000/ EU1000 price point for a quality watch is reasonable. A this video has really, really great production quality.
We asked and they delivered!!! Awesome.
Enjoyed the factory BTS!
Love Tissot - my 2 watch collection is a PRX 40 Auto Ice Blue and Excellence Auto in 18k solid rose gold.
Tissot is FIRE! Thanks to Teddy, I now understand Tissot. Thanks to both parties 😊
OKAY this is a game changer just TODAY I resided myself to a treat 35mm quarts but this is what I NEEDED
I fucking love it when a big company listens to its customers.
The sideral is soo nice!! Love it
Keep at it Tissot. I would love to see the PRX released with the Logo it was originally designed with on that 70's Seastar.
That's fantastic! I already have the 40mm but it's just a little big on my wrist. Will have to try the 35mm. Swatch Group should acquire Eterna, it's only befitting when they already own ETA. Eterna would be nicely placed among Certina and Mido.
So happy to see you there at Tissot home, very good job Teddy! Next step to PRX, the 37mm version?
True respect for teddy and tissot
highly anticipated, finally let’s get it!
Tissot is doing so well!! They listen to the people and deliver!
I think that if you own one of these fine Tissot watches you would feel very reassured with all the strenuous testing that they put on these wonderful time pieces.
omg i have been waiting for the mother of pearl white!
I have decided to get a Tissot PRX and a Christopher Ward Twelve. But I intend to get the Grey CW Twelve, but there's no white color dial for the Tissot PRX and now they have it! i am definitely getting it!
They finally nailed the date window on the PRX. It’s properly aligned with the rest of the indices whereas on the other models it was way off center. GS are masters of getting this design feature right.
The reason it is off centre on the larger sizes is because of the movement. The movement size is standard across the range, it never changes, so neither does the date wheel position internally. This means on larger watches it appears closer to the centre when looking at the dial, whilst it is further out towards the indices on smaller watches. By making the case smaller Tissot have put the date wheel in the correct place, they haven't engineered the movement too accomplish this as GS do.
The Powermatic 80 is based on an ETA 2824, all companies utilising this movement have the same issue. Check out the excellent date position on the Hamilton Khaki Field Watch 38mm vs the poor placement on the 40mm with the printed "15" second indicator pushed horribly inwards!
@@calmck2well I think it looks better on the 40, with the 3 o'clock indice. Seems more symmetrical to me. But I'm fine with both designs.
The date window alligment is even horrible with the Hamilton Khaki Field 38mm and 42mm. Any Powermatic movement which is used in different case size have the issue.
@@calmck2 Can't you just utilize a larger date wheel on larger models that would subsequently cause the date window to fall in line with the other indices? I'd be surprised if the manufacturer had to re-engineer the entire movement to accomplish this. This is evidenced by the many micro brands that use off the shelf movements and have perfectly aligned date windows. I think it's more so that Tissot is pumping out so many watches, and this is such a small detail to most, that they don't think it's worth the additional effort to properly align the date window. For those with OCD like myself, once you notice this design feature there's no unseeing it.
Please make more, reasonably priced silicone straps Tissot - the PRX looks amazing with that - quick release would be amazing as you totally change the watch like that.
I have been waiting for this watch for two years!!!!!
Bought the Tissot powermatic prx 40m with blue dial last week. More than satisfied with watch. Really is one of the better entry watches to buy if you want to get into watch collecting. Heck this model is good enough to be the 1 and done watch for all needs
Was looking to add the PRX to my collection. Now that they released the 35mm that will be finding it’s way into my collection
Great video, wish Tissot would add textured dials and new colors to the Gentleman.
A PRX and a Gentleman is a Brilliant 2 watch collection for a.1k.
Big fan of anything Sylvain touches and he has definitely worked his magic with Tissot!
Instant buy for me, the only reason I haven't bought a PRX for myself was that I wanted the 35mm Powermatic. I bought the 35mm Gold PVD for my wife and love the size, but wanted the different dial and automatic movement.
Seeing how things are made at ETA is pretty amazing. Getting to see some of what they look at when making a watch.
I am so happy to have the old 80s Tissot Seastar quartz pre-PRX, that was what brought the PRX to reality.
The testing of watch components was very interesting!
Absolutely wonderful
Hey Teddy, nice video.Tissot PRX 35mm is fantastic watch but if they release 37-38mm will be amazing
