Jimmy and Eddie were a spectacular team. American treasures. Thank you for this rare privilege. I miss this programming so. There’s something always so poignant about Mr Durante. He is to love.
Thanx so very much for sharing this little treasure! I haven't seen it since first-run. I know I saw it, because I had a mad crush on Jimmy Durante, and I never missed his show. I used to sneak out of bed and hid behind the couch so I could 'my Jimmy'. I wasn't fooling anybody, Mama and Daddy knew I was there, and changed my bedtime so I wouldn't miss the show. I even told everybody that I wanted to be a 'Durante Girl' (his chorus of ladies on the show) when I grew up. I miss those days. I miss those people. Thanx for the wonderful nostalgia trip! RIP, Mama, Daddy, and Jimmy, and thanx so very very very much for the magic, music, and memories.
I've seen the scene (seen the scene? Poetry!) with Eddie Jackson's dancing and singing before, but never the whole show - what a treat it was - sheer, unadorned, total talent.
Noone made entertainment more fun than Jimmy Durante!

Durante & Jackson. One of the greatest teams in show-biz. Love, love, love them !!!! How pathetic & depressing to see the garbage on TV today.

This is a page from histrory! Two of the greatest vaudvillains ever---all they're missing is Lou Clayton.
When Jimmy became famous & his career moved on from Clayton & Jackson, he kept them on his payroll. Now that’s friendship.
Jimmy Durante!
I still say when askrd the time: "Well according to the nostrils on my Jummy Durante watch!"
That’s my birthday
Except I wasn’t born on 1955
I was born in 2001
