I remember my folks thought this was funny whenever it was shown. This isn’t my favorite version, I’ve seen The Carol Burnett Show do this dinner party skit a few ways. My theatre group did The Dinner Party for One skit when I was in high school. We had a lot of fun with it. 😊
Is it really from 1962? An other channel has uploaded the same video saying it is from 1961. The first 10 seconds of the video suggest that it was actually shown on british television. But they didn't have color TV in Britain until 1967. I can't find any other information about this version on the internet. The two more famous versions are those that were recorded both in 1963 by German and Swiss TV, and those are both in black & white.
It is a film recording, not a TV recording, from a London theatre (Palladium). From 1961. For an Italian television programme about "Revue" worldwide. Here is the entire film from which Dinner for One was copied: ua-cam.com/video/WFX6i155oxg/v-deo.html
This is the first time seeing this and it is by far one of the funniest skits I have EVER seen !!!
This film is awesome and fun
Hilarious skit and fantastic drunk acting!
What a funny movie.
Thank you 🙏✨🌿
Laughed hard and long, the talent is quite something ❤
Excellent...and Happy New Year...
Happy New Year🎉
Delightful!
A classic! Happy New Year everyone!
Happy New Year! 🎉
Thanks and Happy New Year from Sweden 🇸🇪🎉😂
Very funny,...Poor James, a very loyal assistant....Happy New Year.
But more than an assistant
@@MsMounen 🤫
He does his best.
Assistant? He’s the Butler not some lowly assistant.
Great actor playing James 😂funny, funny butler 😂

Mildly amusing 😊
Ya I remember it as being much funnier but a drunk butler in the 70’s is kind of sad in the new century.
Gotta say I find the non color version without music funnier.
Never seen that one. Is it under a different name? BBC?
This version is nowhere near as funny as the original. Plus the music is awful. Just leave the Classics alone!
Najlepsza wykonanie😊😊😊😊
The music is spoiling the play. I stopped watching and will search for the older version.
🤣🤣🤣😅😅🤣👍🤣🍾🥂🥂🥂🥂🥂🥂🥂🥂🥂
