Love your videos my man. I always see your comments on other channels but I did not expect to see your comments on TBYS 😂. Glad you're a man of culture as well.
Are you going to make an updated Saw timeline?I would love that!
😌😎👍
Live and learn, dude.
LOL im so sorry you got so evicerated last time you felt the need to pin this comment
Fun (not really) fact
I just had the "welcome to prime time bitch" quote tatooed yesterday
Just the words or a picture of TV with Freddy coming out?
@@travismiller4320 i'm a quote kind of person ^^ actualy the "bitch" is made to look like it was scratched by claws
Dream Warriors will always be my personal favorite. The whole institutionalization gives it an added feeling of futility. The visuals were some of the best as well.
Finally you got to Nightmare 3. I love how 1428 Elm Street became the primary dream location, like Freddy’s own HQ of evil castle. This film also has a distinctive dark blue colour palette and some truly IMPRESSIVE practical effects, making everything more like a fantasy, which is perfect for the dreamscape. Many regarded 3 as the best sequel but I think it’s also the best film tied along with 4 as the prime time of the franchise. A great sequel that goes bigger and better but also deepens the lore, like how Aliens is to Alien.
💤 Deff my favorite, when I was younger My mom busted out her huge horror movie collection and I was hooked-❤️🔥She was happily surprised that I like the older movies 🧈🔒🫵🚪
❤ love that for you!! Where did you get it tattooed on you? Lol. So cool 😎
I once had a therapist and I was talking about how I’d been having nightmares. She didn’t seem all too interested until I joked that there might be a medication that could help like the _fictional_ Hypnocil from A nightmare on Elmstreet. (I mentioned the movie, no recognition there.) It was a joke -I said ‘fictional’ but when she heard _that_ she looked at me like I was totally crazy and NOT joking, like I really was. Didn’t go back.
For some reason therapist seem to take nightmares/ sleep paralysis and terrors so lightly. I would cry almost every morning because of my vivid alien/ someone stabbing me and me feeling it type of dreams, I was very sensitive to that. I went to the psychologist first then therapist and the psychologist literally laughed in my face and said i was overimaginative. Yeah I know! I'm aware my dreams are only my dreams but they are haunting me every single day, how do you just brush it off if its literally half of my day when im sleeping/dreaming. Bottom line is they are very unproffesional when it comes to dreams and night terrors.
@@hanat6009 absolutely! When you have nightmares/night-terrors every night (for weeks) you don’t even wanna go to sleep. You should _want_ to sleep bc it’s natural. Therapists never seem to take it seriously! I was only half-joking bc I would have taken that Hypnocil-prescription! It’s not like it’s _one_ night! Now I have them sometimes, and that’s good enough for me. Hope you’ll sleep well.
According to my therapist, there are medications that can help with nightmares. We had that conversation yesterday. He said to talk to my psych nurse about it. I have awful nightmares all the time and I lash out in reality as well as scream/cry/etc.
Mt poor wife is a Saint. I've hit her in my sleep from.lashing out. I've woken her with screams and shit. She's always a champ and helps me.
@@Mewse1203 oh, I hope they will help. Your wife sounds like a rock! If I ever need them again I will look into it! Good luck bro!
I have crazy nightmares and I kind of absolutely love it.
CZ you’re legit my favorite horror UA-camr. The attention to detail is insane and I don’t think you get the credit you deserve. You’re one of few UA-camrs I have the bell on for 😂 watch it as soon as it’s posted!
CZS MAKE A JASON Voorhes HORROR TIMELINE !!!!!
Well this year hockey gets outlawed so best best time to make a friday the 13th timeline
I applaud you for talking about the fact that this movie feels as though there were mixed messages involved. I’ve always loved Dream Warriors as a concept, but I feel as though the movie is all over the place in terms of directing. I don’t feel as though it handled the topic of the kids in the institution that great, and wish they leaned into more instead of the Freddy one liners. Nancy’s death in the end never really made sense to me either because it feels silly to think Nancy would be TRICKED by Freddy (especially because she was tricked similarly in the original). The death that Wes wrote in the original script of the movie made a lot more sense. I know this movie is a favorite amongst the fanbase, but I’ve always felt as though there were a lot of issues with the story.
I agree. Nightmare 3 does feel quite all over the place, especially upon rewatch recently.
It especially doesn't seem to have a main character, Nancy coming back is cool but she doesn't seem to have a strong presence, Neil Gordon is doing a lot but isn't the central focus, Kristen is clearly set up as Nancy's successor at the start but she became so bland and by the end she just became a damsel in distress, her role in 4 while more brief actually seems to have more personality, and passes the torch to Alice (literally as she was burned alive). 4 also has a way more linear storyline that ties into Alice's character arc from weak to strong - Alice is just an amazing and inspiring final girl.
Overall, 3 isn't as perfect as many fans make it out to be, even though it is very good. Like any great sequels, it expands on the world and the lore, so I still love this film to death. It also flows with 4 and 5 so well, these three films form one cohesive storyline and is a great 'Dream trilogy' on its own.
Tonally it seems to swerve between creepy, goofy, and horrifying. Like it tried to do loads of things and didn't manage most of them all that well
What was the original death Wes wrote?
My Absolute favorite of the series....
Mine is 4 but this is a close second. I also really like 5.
Yes! Finally an episode of Things You Missed! Thank you Professor. ❤
Thank you so much for doing another one! Please continue through the franchise!
I've been watching this channel ever since I was like 13/14 and I don't ever think I'll stop
how long have you been watching the channel?
@@claireallen-qd9bb 5-6 years give or take 🤷♀️
@@user-hb4ir7zp9i dude that's amazing, i hope I'll be watching it for that long
I was 5 when this came out (yes, so old) and this was the NOES that I think I've seen the most. That Dokken song still occasionally pops in my head.
Why do we care how old you are?
@@Stang2023 Why is your life so sad you need to comment that?
3 things I have to say about this movie.
1. Laurence Fishburne. It is always fun to see a now well known actor in an iconic horror movie as a side character. Same with Depp in the first movie.
2. Dream Warriors by Dokken slaps.
3. Philips death is one of my all time favorite horror movie deaths because of how disturbing it is in the dream world. Grosses me out.
My friend that’s scared of Needles refuses to watch this movie because of Taryn’s death.
Jenifers death scares the hell out of me but Freddy’s one liner is hilarious this is it Jenifer your big break from tv welcome to prime time bitch!
Well that was an aggressive opening😂😂😂
Thank you, Zac for another great video.
Thank you for covering my favourite horror franchise, your videos are the best cz.
I fucking love the depth you go through to get the information you provide in every video. It's absolutely cinema level writing.
Great video keep up the great work
I love ur videos glad ur continuing the nightmare on elm street things u miss also is it possible of u doing a timeline for Nancy Thomson (I feel like I spe that wrong)
Omg, Little Nemo was my FAVORITE Nintendo Game growing up. Thank you for pointing that out!!!
Good video as always Zac 👍
The best stuff. Glad to have a NOES video. Hope the next will be about a 4K box set.
You always find the Best times to upload
1...2....CZ is coming for you
I still love the detail that when Freddy is getting ready to give Will his seat, Taryn’s screams can still be heard in the background from meeting her old friend.
*I can't wait to see your analysis...you always bring "things" to light...that after you know about it.. seems obvious...but without your guidance I would NEVER see it, been a Sub for many years....and I still have the email you responded to when I had inquiries..a true content creator! Take care Zack!*
I’ve been waiting so long for this
Finally!!! I’ve been waiting!!! ❤
Horror history on Nancy is a must!
And Alice Johnson from 4 and 5!
This was my favorite movie out of the series I relate to all the characters because of my mental health issues which made me want to better myself
Best kill for me in the franchise him puppeteering that kid 😂😂😂😂😂 one that definitely still holds up even today 👌🏽
Ahh my favorite ANOES. I can watch videos about it all day 🩸☠️
Sweet. Dokken the band is a canon event.
Ahhhhh you finally did Dream Warriors!!!!!
I was just thinking to myself how I could really go for a good CZsWorld things you missed.... Then I clicked on UA-cam and saw this!!!!! What kinda dark magic is this!
Can't wait for part 4
This is my FAVORITE one!
Love that shirt. I can’t wear white tho. I’m too chubby.
Love the Nightmare videos. Keep em coming xxxx
Dude, you should do the Jason franchise. Specifically Jason in space. Its awesome 👌
This was the first Nightmare movie I saw, and what started my true love of horror. Before that I watched stuff like Child's Play and Puppet Master movies, and my favorite movie has always been "Little Shop of Horrors", so the seeds were there, but Halloween 2002 I got this and part 4 on VHS cheap at Walmart and after that wanted to see more and more.
This is also my favorite of the Nightmare movies, and bonus, it released in theaters the day after I was born.
Finally mentioned Dokken! Hell yeah!
Great videos please do a full video on nancy please 🙏🏽 😎
My favorite of the series.
Nice
Can you do a history video of Halloween jack from the legend and curse of Halloween jack?
Also love your videos
This is my favorite movie in the franchise
Funny you mention the Sunda island connection, as Freddie is often described as a 'bogey man', bogey coming from the dreaded Bugis pirates of those same islands.
I love Little Nemo and Rarebit Fiend! I have them all downloaded. It was the beginning of panel to panel storytelling. I also have the movie and the games. I used to have the physical copy of the NES game as a child.
Woah , you have hitting the gym my man.
Results are showing 👍
Southmore setback? I literally just watched ANOES 2 and it’s still a good movie to me. Probably because of the pool scene 😂😂
Three I the best sequel of them all, in fact it’s probably the best sequel out of all Horror series of all time
Yes to an entire video devoted to Nancy!
Although there are some simple little nods such as names, there are also some deep details that ad depth to the world.
1-4 are my go to movies but 3 is my favorite‼️🎟️📽️🎞️💪🏽
My fav in the franchise!!
Please do a video on Lesser Key of Solomon and it's influence on Conjuring universe and other media.
You are a awesome horror movie reviewer
My thoughts on the cross working in this movie, but not anywhere else. When Doctor Gorden uses it and the holy water, he is using it in the real world on Freddy's physical remains. Any other time it is either in the dream world or on Dream Freddy temporarily manifested in the real world.
I have DW on media tape and early versions have Kristen’s radio playing non descriptive stock guitar solo
FUN FACT: The music video for the Tool song SOBER was an homage/tribute to Phillip's death in DREAM WARRIORS.
ive watched elm street 3 almost 20 times i know every detail about it
Same watched 3-4-5 many times
Who care's 'What *he* meant". She's the one that offered, he accepted. He gets what he gets. Period. I love you CZ, and I watch a LOT of your stuff, but that comment was a little off color. Still love you though, and still gonna watch you and still thumbs up this video!
How crazy is it Kristen was listening to Into The Fire and ends up getting burned alive in the next flick in the same room.
Hi! Could you please do fear street for horror history!
MA BOI LAWRENCE GOT REFRENCED
I never noticed Alone In The Dark in Jennifer's dream Also never noticed Cooper on the cork board Cooper could also be a reference to the d-bag in Night Of The Living Dead I also never knew Little Nemo was a comic strip I only ever played the video game on the NES
Kind of a shame that Donald Thompson was so depressed after events a NOES that he lost his job, became a drunk and became a security guard, I think I suspected he was the guard at junkyard when he had the keys to get into the place upon first viewing that I never really looked at his coat to confirm it.
Nightmare on Elm Street Dream Warriors is my favorite Nightmare on Elm Street movie
Great video but the real horror from the beginning of Dream Warriors is Kristen having a spoonful of freeze dried coffee followed by a swig of Diet Coke. That is SO gross.🤮 Loved this video.
It would be grand to remake Nightmare on Elm Street with a bit more details. Incorporate factual evidence with similarities of experiences everyone in the realworld goes thru. I noticed some wake up dreams you experience it from another's person's open eye. Maybe in their minds they are saying something like, what do u think im thinking of now
Sweet.
I feel you left out that the song Kristen plays on her radio was an entirely different song on VHS where many young horror fans saw it. I myself don’t like the Dokken replacement in that moment because I’m used to the other.
If anyone wants to find out more about the DIFFERENT VERSION of the Dream Warriors Script check out the Novelization. It's based on an Earlier Script, but there are some big differences to what was in the actual movie. It can be found online if you search for it.
The Novelization came out in October of 1987. It's a long shot COOPER on the bulletin board was a reference to him. There's still a chance though. Filming began in March of 1986. It all depends on when Mr Cooper was hired to write the novelization and that the production people knew that to include it in one of the filming sets.
Epic
Nice 😂
Thing about this movie & Freddy Vs. Jason, what was so bad about Hyponocil? If the drug blocks people from dreaming/nightmares so they can have a good nights sleep, what was big deal about use of it? If it was a such a big deal as being bad, how did Nancy obtain a prx. For it?
When I was young I thought that the doctor dude was Bill Maher.
Not they messed up the location of Nancy’s white hair streak😂 i really enjoyed Nightmare on Elm Street 3 though
If I recall the VHS of ANOES 3 didn't have the Dokken soundtrack, which was fairly common for home video releases that (I presume) didn't want to pay the band additional royalties. I know Stevie Wonder was absent from The Thing until DVD release.
I have to watch this movie again, never knew Laurence Fishburne was in this 🤦🏾♂️
May you do history of "autopsy of Jane doe?"
Is it related to the movie room 1408?
One of my faves 😈
Personal favorite elm street
Only an 8 minute video. I'm sad 😂😂
Hell yeah!!!
More Freddy? LETS GOOOO.
RAAAAAAAAAAAH!!
When part 4 coming
I wish that Hyptnocil was real. I haven't had a good night's sleep in years!
I like how his shirt looks like the squiggle monster from Backrooms…
7:03 😂😂😂
I was 10, amd spending the day with an older cousin. You used to be able to get up to the roof of the cinema, and watch through a fire escape (broken, i add, for more than a decade. TF!). So we did. & watched this flick.
I'm now 46. I still have f'kin nightmares 😂😂
Hypnocil IRL would be INCREDIBLY counter-productive in treating psychosis. We all know sleep deprivation triggers a sort of psychosis. Complete suppression of dreams would result in the same, even if the person was "asleep" at night. Part of this sleep deprivation - the hallucinations - are effectively caused by the person "dreaming" while awake. So the pills would mean Freddy could get them even when they were awake.
Also, you literally need to dream to live. Your life expectancy if you were to suddenly stop dreaming completely is approximately one month.
If any of that interests you, I'd recommend looking up an interesting, VERY rare, genetic condition called Fatal Familial Insomnia
This is my favorite Nightmare On Elm Street (the “real life” adaptation movie is second)
As much as i love this movie It wasn't smart to end Nancy's story here when they didn't make sure our next Scream Queen even wanted to be in more movies Patricia and Heather can't really be replaced so the other movies suffer because of this. I do wonder what Wes original script had in it because he always parelles realistic horrors with supernatural ones in all his Nightmare movies.
Wished we could've seen Return of thr Dream Warriors on film in a sequel to Freddy Vs Jason
Yeah, I think that’s callbacks the part two in the movie as well but they don’t really liberate on it but there’s call back and I think in the part two they kind of lose that there was a hospital anyway see you next time dream party dream warriors with you
A Nancy Horror History?!!! Yes please
Finally
There is a movie where a guy comes home from the army and eats raw hamburger meat and turns into a monster I can't find the movie or know the name if anyone knows what I'm talking about please let me know I appreciate it🙏🏼✌🏼
