The crash in the video was in Clearwater Fl. Mechanical failure caused the crash. Nobody died, or was even injured. Pilot & passenger both literally walked away from the wreck🙂

Hey @Chills, the reason the lightning bolt had that flaming effect is due to physics and chemistry. The bolt was so powerful, it separated the water molecules in the air, forming a small area of concentrated hydrogen and oxygen. This gaseous mixture ignited almost immediately from the heat of the lightning strike, leaving a trail of fire where the strike once was.

I just read up on that too. That wasn't Roy. I saw too that he crashed his plane in 4 feet of water in the gulf and that he had all sorts of drugs in him.
I remember the Newcastle tornado on number 11. I was at work down the street when it happened. People never really know how quick tornadoes can form and cause so much destruction. I hope Chills sees this comment.

I was looking for this comment. I just watched the video of Roy Hallidays crash, it was a totally different plane, and was killed doing crazy maneuvers over the gulf. The plane was just delivered to him 2 days before he crashed it, brand new icon 5.

He wasn't "much too close to escape" from the tornado. Officers actually put themselves near tornadoes so that they can assist people that might need help and follow the path of destruction for that same reason. If you watch some videos of tornadoes moving through populated areas, you will often see police cruisers very close to the action.

Number 5 was NOT Roy Halliday's plane crash. He crashed into the Gulf of Mexico on November 7, 2017, off the coast of Florida, not on a busy street inland. Check your facts BEFORE you publish a video.

I'll give you the only thumbs up you are going to get.
#8 The temperatures created with lightning are very very high. What you see in this video is plasma. The air gets so hot the electrons are stripped off the atoms in the atmosphere. They glow brightly when this happens, in part because they are so hot.
This air takes time to cool down again and that is what you see. In fact, lightning always does this, but it is rare to catch it on video, and the effect is too fast to see it live.

It's not smoke, it's plasma. That is super heated air.
There are other things created as well, like nitrous-oxide. But mostly it is plasma.
The "smoking hole" mentioned is produced by something burning on the ground.

# 8 If you've never seen fire resulting from a lightning strike, then you really haven't seen much. Most of the strikes I've seen resulted in something burning; whether it was a tree, an utility pole or a house. A lightning strike momentarily creates temperatures hotter than the sun. Anything flammable in its path is going to burn. As a firefighter I've seen this happen a lot. It seems it hit a wooden post embedded in the road. It really is not unusual at all.

In #5, the pilot of the plane lived, and was not a famous person. On top of that, he called the police department to let them know he was going down. That's why 2 police cars were there, and the road behind the cars was empty

About the lightning strike, the air around the bolt and the probable dust kicked up when the bolt struck is more than likely what caused it to have a flash of flame accompanying it. Also, as far as the apparent increase in sightings of "falling stars", it is probably just because there are more cameras out there on any given day or night to catch the falling meteors as they burn up in our atmosphere.

cody8804 when I was a kid I loved to ride in my parents/grandparents trunk for shorter trips because it was fun. Don't know why it would be scary, then again it's probably a different story now.
Sensei X was it a small trunk and locked? Maybe I have claustrophobia or something but the pitch black and small space and then you push on the trunk and it doesn't open panic just creeps in and snowballs. Also I wasnt a kid I was 16 or 17 which made my body take up the whole trunk

About the lightning bolt the way it caught fire was due to the lack of precipitation in the air, there was no rain yet and more than likely little humidity. So the lightning literally was hot enough to catch the air around it on fire. @Chills

This heat is also what creates the 'BOOM' of thunder. The lighting is hot enough to cavitate the air, burning away or forcing out molecules from the path of the strike. The sound of air rushing back into place causes the thunder.
Also, areas with high oxygen (like, say, a Bayou in Mississipi) will cause that to happen, whereas in a major city the air concentration is more mixed, and therefor it's rarer.
I believe it has something to do with gas in the air as well. we get dry strikes in Montana all the time and it does not look like that. I have witnessed strikes less than twenty meters and they dont do that

Okay. So with the lightning, all I can really say is that for it to catch fire like that would mean that there was some type of component in the asphalt itself that caused it to combust.

Tornados are noooooo joke yo...I've been in two of them this year! Thankfully we got out ok, just bruised up...
The reason there have been more meteorite sightings is because almost EVERYBODY, including many, many poor and homeless (I was one of these homeless people with various versions of iPhones the 4 times I've had to live on the street) have some form of camera/video camera in one way or another, therefore, you get more sightings. Oh, You NEED to have a countdown/video all about people's near-death experiences. Especially the scariest such as Bryan Melvin's story.
True. 10 or 20 years ago if you said "there was a huge flash of light and an explosion in the air out in the woods" everyone would call him a drunk. Even in the last few years smartphones have become much more available, my 60 year old mom lives in a trailer park in the country and literally everyone there has a smartphone, including her.
A lot of people love to try and make these sightings something that they're not. I love mysterious stuff but this isn't that at all. Basically most of the human race has a camera phone now which is why we have all of these sightings now. You hit the nail on the head with that one!

ABOUT 17 YEARS OR SO AGO, I HAD AN ENCOUNTER JUST LIKE NUMBER 6. IT WAS EXTREMELY DARK ON A COUNTRY ROAD I HAD TAKEN FROM FORT WORTH GOING SOUTH INTO A SMALL TOWN CALLED CROWLEY. THIS WAS WAY BEFORE CELL PHONES HAD APPS LOL! I later saw on a newscast that a police dash cam had caught it too, so then I didn't feel so crazy! (my encounter was not the one shown, mine happened in Texas)
On number 5, the planes propeller had stopped. It looks like while trying to avoid traffic, he stalled, and his wing went over causing him to hit the tree and plummet into the side of the road. His flaps were also in a very high position, which is unusual for such a slow speed.
I won't complain about those robot voices anymore.

I am sorry to hear that. My sister was paralyzed by a drunk driver that 6 times the legal limit. It was his 6th DUI. She died just a couple months ago from sepsis from a wound infection. So I totally agree. He only got 6 years. But was parolled after 3 for good behavior.

Hey Chills, how are you? My name is Markuz and I was hella surprised with the #7 video you included on your video clip, (13 Scariest Things Caught on Police Dashcam). I got a video of something similar. The weirdest part is that I was not able to see what was showing on the phone. I am telling my son to see what I was recording. I ask him if its something he has seen, yet he tells me that it's probably just a plane. I responded if planes look like what I was recording, which, to me it looked like a rotating eyeball. At the end I ask him if he can show me where it is,because I could not see anything not even a star. I'm sure it some kind of a portal because that same day, but hours earlier, I was recording at that same location and something appeared or it came out of this portal. It looks like four light circles rotating around. It went on for a couple of minutes before it disappeard and vanished away. Anyways, let me know how I can upload them to send them to you.
