That guy was up to no good. He would have hurt or maybe killed the person in the car. He was waiting for an opportunity to gain access to the vehicle, for them to stop. His behavior also suggests he was carrying an object, maybe a gun or knife. We also don't know if he was alone or if he had people in the car facing perpendicular

People can be so brazen when they are up to no good. Years ago my former father in law was travelling in the middle of nowhere and had to pull over to the side of the road on a deserted highway in Texas to get some sleep. He woke up during the night, looked up at the driver's side window of his truck to see a bearded, long-haired man looking down at him. The man smiled and showed my father in law a 12 inch knife with a crook cut out to open locked vehicle doors. My father in law smiled back and reached under the seat and showed the man his 357 magnum. The guy smiled again, shrugged and walked away; got into his vehicle and drove off. My father in law waited a while then got back on the road. He loved telling that story. I never saw this man afraid of anything.

I found a toddler once. She had let herself out of her junkie mothers house, whilst she was sleeping off her high. This toddler, after I picked her up, had soaked me in urine. She hadn’t been bathed for weeks, and was absolutely fine with a stranger picking her up. I knew where she had come from once I thought about it. I knocked on her mother’s door, she answered, and I told her I was calling the police and social services. I did. They came, and I don’t know what happened after that. Poor little angel. I remember her mother saying “oh….this happens eh?” And I looked her in the eyes and said “no….it doesn’t “happen””😠

I told my wife a stork just flew in and dropped off a little kid. 3 years old or so? Guessing? EIther way the kid had been out all night by the looks of her. My wife was still in bed she went into mother mode washing the kid up all kinds of bug bites feet with no shoes. SHe was very lucky to be alive and me to be there to get her I lived on the road that you would surely die quick with all the cars. Called a buddy that was working as a cop in my area I grew up with. Cops came out by the droves and later found the parents Thank God! Weird how things work out. GOD was watching out for her for sure..

@@stemtostern7611 thank God your story has a happy end as well! I know it really takes only a blink of the eye for something to happen to a little kid, so I'm not judging the parents, but I do think most people tend to underestimate how far a small child can dash off to if it gets into exploring mode. When it comes to small children, or even children in general, people should waste no time calling the cops if it goes missing and can't be found after checking the house and garden (and maybe by the neighbours) - if nothing else, cops like the one that found this toddler would know there's an ongoing search.

    • @pommiebears

@@stemtostern7611 I found a toddler too. Her mother was the local druggie, and this poor toddler was soaking wet with urine, obviously hadn’t been bathed in weeks. I found her playing on the main road outside of our apartment block. I saw her whilst I was on my balcony. So, I had to pray she didn’t get hit whilst I ran five flights of stairs. I knocked on who I thought was her mothers door, and she had the nerve to say “oh….these things happen” and I swear I looked her dead in the eyes and said “no….to most of us, these things don’t “happen””
I know they do happen. But this was a direct consequence of the mother being distracted by men and drugs. I called police and social services. I’m not sure what happened. Frightened the life out of me. I’m glad your toddler find was resolved quickly. Yes, a mothering instinct kicks in really quickly. 🌸

The one with the tire! Unbelievable I had the very same thing happen to me about 4 weeks ago. The Axel on a trailer broke and sent their tire flying down the road straight at me and when it hit my car it tore the whole front end off my car. It was traveling about 50 miles an hour when it hit me. Thankfully my passenger nor myself were hurt and I was able to drive my car the rest of the way home. I finally get it back from being repaired in a couple of days and thankfully their insurance paid 100%.

I witnessed a tire come off a car heading north. It bounced on the divider, ending the life of the wheel and careened right into the van ahead of me. The tire struck, not the windshield or the driver's window, but the reinforcement between them (!), bounced off the top and into the grass. Everyone else drove by... I felt sorriest for the worn-looking man in the rusty Mustang - the lady was shook up but unhurt. But the man looked like life had chewed him up and spit him out. It was incredible.

When my youngest son was about 5 years old he somehow managed to open the door to the house while my wife and I were getting ready for work very early in the morning while it was still dark and we realized he was gone within less than 5 minutes and we were freaking out. First we ran next door where my wife's father lived and when he wasn't there we each went down a different section of the road and I remember when I saw these little lights blinking on and off and realized it was the light up shoes he had on and was so thankful he was wearing them. I think my wife's father nearly had another heart attack. It's been 15 years since and we still don't like him being out of our sight which of course drives him crazy. The truck driver in Georgia encountering the woman on the road was actually on Highway 5 near Jasper, Alabama. That section of highway has always had a reputation of seeing a young girl, walking on the road at night. The story goes that a young girl in the 1950's was on the way to her prom, had car trouble, got out to investigate the issue & was hit & killed by a semi-truck. There is another clip of it where you actually see the reaction of the driver & his back-up driver. In that clip, you will also notice headlights of another vehicle behind the truck. I've seen the interview of the couple that was behind the truck. They backed up everything the drivers said!

You see a lot of these types of “road blocks” in Mexico close to the border where people will actually block the whole road and then rob the vehicles that stop. A lot of times people will act like they (or sometimes they’ll use a child) are sick or hurt and ask for help and then rob and sometimes kill the unsuspecting motorists. They can tell by the vehicles and the people whether they are tourists with money.
