how the fuck does someone talk like this?
its not uncommon for people on the spectrum to have a similar monotone way of speaking, not that the narrator is; was just my immediate thought after hearing a few words
-Seeza- it's an epidemic, used to be called valley girl .. but it's morphed into something else that's more subtle in style but more widespread.. an odd rising inflection. It's no surprise. . My own 9 yr old son was starting to develop that .. we live in Philadelphia. . Yes, Philly! , have you ever heard our accents? We've been butchering the English language longer than any other former British colony and have a very distinct recognizable speaking style so when he started picking up this valley girl rising inflection my wife and I had to make a concerted effort to stop it .. my theory is that it's a combination of television influences from kids shows, also alot of elementary school teachers are younger women influenced the same way , alot of younger mom's also speak this way .. kids of the 90s and more so later 90s and 00s seem to be the most influenced by it

If youre looking for an example of how to address Chills voice is like my partner; he came in while I was watching one of Chills videos and asked if something was wrong with his voice. I reponded by saying I didnt know if it was on purpose or not, did some research, and discovered Chills story. My partner, after hearing this, said man, that really sucks, Im sorry he had to go though that, Im glad hes applying what to most would be seen as a dissability to something so creative.

You know on the internet when someone criticizes something, there always a comment saying "well dont watch it then" or something along those lines... I just wish I was witty enough to be able to think of those types of comebacks when I need them. Its so clever but I always just get stuck having my favorite songs and stuff dissed on by other people. If I could just remember to say "if you dont like it then leave" in the heat of the moment it would be so brilliant.
