Вставка
- Опубліковано 11 вер 2013
- The first of the 900 Nexus tutorials exploring the Sound Color FX section. Each of the six color effects on the DJM900 have unique sounding effects that you can use to make your mix stand out from the crowd. Once you've mastered beatmatching, getting a handle on the sound color effects is the next step to being a pro.

Great tutorial Christian, got a gig with this mixer in two days time, and feel ready to jump straight on!
Like your tutorials Christian, also the tips & secret tips for CDJ-2000 were really helpful.I have a DJM-2000 at home but in clubs mostly DJM-900Nexus, now i'm sure how the effects sound, before i was a bit worried i would mess up my gig. Thx
straight and to the point, well done!
great video, quick, well explained and no messing about

Awesome video man u gained a sub
Thank you, that really help!
I really learned a lot with your tutorials, with your help yesterday I played at a club using a cdj 2000 + & djm 2000 mixer and everything went very well thank you :)
Keep doing these tutorials
Hey man :) was it hard to get used to them? And also, was it the very first you played with this equipment? Because it's the same for me next week haha And I'm afraid to produce some bad shit because of the lack of practice on that equipment!
@@Prollepse5 years later 😂, but how did it go then? Hope you rocked it.
@@Prollepsefuck around and find out
@@gilly7259 hahaha hi man, thanks for the kind words :) it went very well. I was just afraid a bit the unknown :)) since then, I’m playing every week-end !
@@Prollepse Hey man, well that's freaking awesome, well done! Something you can be proud about! You got any socials where i can follow your style?
Thank you so much for the tutorials! Would love to buy some CDJs, but you've helped me bridge the gap between my traktor set up and CD-Js in just an hour, can go out with confidence now and kill it later :).
+Anicrow nice!
Great tutorial!
As a sound guy, I have to say thank you for not running in the red. I wish all DJs did that.
+Jason Esty :)
Green Lights and WAV files all the way, or Vinyl preferably!
im with you! :D
As another sound guy, I get depressed by seeing another DJ running a Pioneer mixer.
Why is it that the worst sounding mixer on the scene, is the most popular?
If not custom, at least give the DJ a Formula mixer or something.
@@AB-80X Apparently the 900 NXS is much better than previous pioneer models . Always preferred A&H myself .
Thank you!
Nice video. I found it to be informative, albeit wordy. That AC unit is enough warrant for a re record -- especially for a video meant to illustrate sound.
ty I have to use this mixer for the first time
thanks bro !!
Its helpful good tutorial
Nice tutorial
good stuff mate
Thank's for sharing bro! Would be nice if the color effects could be assigned to each channel individually...
Pro DJ tip: Don't worry man. That channel fader isn't going to lower itself. You can stop holding it up now. This frees up an extra hand.
Vinniechuspins it just look better.. i mean try to mix in front of crowd with only one hand, you just look like you’re bored tho
That way you have a free hand to do drugs with
Awaiting some company mapping all this stuff into a VR space so you can do everything with virtual gloves in front of the dance floor. Full body movement FTW!
Thanks. Where can I find that 5:38 video where you explain how you can use the Noise FX together with the crossfader. I see a lot of dj's do that.
Thanks for you video very help full I'm from NYC I'm learning how to be a professional DJ. Can you please make one how to fix the beat grid new version on rekordbox that will be very help full thanks.
nice !!!
I’ve always wondered what I had to do for the frequency delay…it was as simple as dub echo filtering the track lol
Hey, what the best way to clean up buttons on color fx? mine are too stiff, some alc drinks were spilt at DJM:(
thanks bro
Check out the rekordbox playlist on this channel :)
nice
When I use the noise effect on channel 1 and a song on channel 2 the song takes over the noise effect even with trim up any thoughts
And flanger effect?
whats a sound channel?
What's the track called?
Would also like to know
can someone help me? I watched the other Djs, when they use the sound color effects, they don't use that on the current channel ( let's say channel 1) which is playing the song, they actually play that effect on different channel which is channel 3, but my point is that the song on channel 3 is not playing, so how can the effect is activated without playing the song
+Quang That can only be done with noise (which is seen in this video). Which makes sense, because noise is it's own signal. It's white noise. It's own sound. The others are purely effects, and effects need an input signal to modulate. So, how can you have echo if there is nothing to echo? How can you crush the high end if there is nothing to crush? Make sense?
I got it now, thanks
who likes the A&H filter more than the Pioneer?
depends
Digital Tech Hose EDM Kids prefer Pioneer
Who likes anything more than a Pioneer mixer? Sounds like shit as always.
@@grandmastersunshine9220
True. They also like MP3....
Not well explained.. Only the surface.. You do not really explain what each effect is.. And music is terrible. .. With nice music would have been bearable..
