About Youngsang Cho
Youngsang Cho is Organic Farmer. Cho learned Natural Farming from his father Hankyu Cho(Korea Natural Farming, KNF) who advocated environmental agriculture since the 1960s. Cho family has been organic farming for the third generation. Cho served in 706 special forces and graduated from Aju University (Bachelor, Chemistry) and Chungnam National Uni (Master, Horticulture). Cho has entered the Ph.D. course from the Department of Agricultural Biology at Chonbuk National University. Cho started organic agriculture in 1989. Hola amigo, unas preguntas si usted me lo permite ¿puedo usar aceite de semillas de girasol o aceite de oliva en vez de canola? ¿Es lo mismo usar hidróxido sódico en vez de hidróxido de potasio? Y por último ¿hasta cunto tiempo es efectivo el producto, gracias y saludos desde España
No hay fecha de caducidad. Cualquier aceite vegetal servirá. El jabón sólido se elabora con hidróxido de sodio, pero el proceso de disolverlo en agua es muy difícil.

Dear sir, I had heard about the JADAM method from afar. Today I visited your pages and I congratulate you for the magnificent explanations and for your goal of total sustainability. I will surely buy a book in Spanish because I like its approach and belief. I am not really a farmer but a biologist who started a few years ago through sustainable aquaculture. I would be very grateful if you could tell me if your techniques can be applied in aquaponic crops without harming the fish. The issue of pests in greenhouses is a whole world and I am learning a lot, also using biological control, but it seems to me that it is not enough for some types of pests and depending on the climatic conditions and I am looking for a method that complements it. But my fear (as I have not been able to find enough bibliography) is that these organic products could pass into the water and harm fish and plants. I would be very grateful if you could give me some answer on this matter. I will continue learning and enjoying your videos. Thank you so much. Anna
Thank you for your interest. JADAM natural pesticides are made from safe substances permitted for organic cultivation by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). It can be applied to aquaponic crops and is also safe for fish.
Today I made JWA 10L and put the composition for aging, for 3 days. I am happy because this stage went well for me. To make solid soap, use sodium hydroxide instead of potassium hydroxide.

You can use JWA as a shampoo. It can also be made by adding other natural oils for color and fragrance.

When I made JWA the liquid came out to look like the darker bottle in your hand. It was hott that day and I let it sit outside for more than 24hrs. I'm assuming it's ok to use?
You can use it. If the aging period is shortened, the color of JWA may become cloudy. I'm watching your youtube.

Hello! I tried to make JWA for the first time, using oil palm. It happened what you describe in picture 23, page 277 of JADAM Organic Farming, Second Edition. "Do not overmix at this stage; the solution can become like a white cream."
So I have 60 liters of white cream JWA... Do you think I still can use it as JWA? Thank you!

There are some differences depending on the type of oil. You can also make the original recipe.
I use palm oil and coconut oil but it is not the same result for canola

Please clarify these things
1. I am using paint mixer last batch I stirred little bit more time and it become solid and I can't continue stirring. Is it OK or something went wrong?
2. I used some other company oil (mustered oil) and oil colour also darker than my regular oil. With this new oil I made JWA and left for 3 days. After that I tried to dissolve this in water and solubility was very slow it took 3 days to dissolve and the resulting liquid also thick. What might happened I thought may be oil has more fatty acid content so need more KOH. Pls clarify sir
1. If you stir too much, it becomes hard. This is normal.
2. The finished color may vary depending on the oil. I think you can get better results by reducing the amount of KOH by 15%. thank you

If you used soft water, you can use it. Sometimes that happens to me too, but I think it's probably because of impurities.

Hi, how long will the fumes from mixing lasts? You mentioned to hold your breath or wear a mask. How long were you able to hold your breath for? While mixing it.
If you cover the lid and work, there is no big problem.
Did you make it? I make handmade soap for a living as long as you are in a well ventilated area and not an enclosed room you will be ok. Have a window open the fumes will last a minute while it is melting and once you add the oil it lessens

Wir haben JWA gemacht und wir sind total begeistert verwenden sie zum Hände waschen und für die Waschmaschine wollen wir es auch noch nehmen, aber wir müssen erst ein Weich Wasser machen.
WA eignet sich auch hervorragend als Seife. Danke, das Mischen von Natriumhydroxid mit JWA ist sehr hilfreich für die Schneckenbekämpfung.
