The chief's lack of self control is frightening. From my own 74 years of dealing with cops, professionally and personally, I feel dishonesty, cowardice and ignorance of the law is endemic throughout law enforcement.
To other police officers he is the chief of police . but to us he is just another dirty cop with a badge .
Officer safety is all that matters. Ask the children of Uvalde about Officer safety. O yeah you can't they're all dead because of officer safety.

It's crazy how that works, we bought them cameras and required them to use them while we pay them to keep the peace but when It's not in their best interest they won't give us the footage. Seems like an independent outside audit agency is needed doesn't it.

Farmington PD killed a young sovereign citizen last year I believe. DOJ should investigate this problematic police department. The way these public servants treat the public is despicable. This Chief should resign after he treated this veteran like garbage.
As a Swiss who has lived and worked in the USA for more than 15 years, it's blatant to observe how the country has developed into a police state in recent years. In my time there, many people had respect for the police. Since cameras have become part of everyday use and the police are filmed during their actions, trust has plummeted. It's really sad to see. It's such a wonderful country. But corruption destroys everything.

This chief is a representation of the police department. Therefore, I don't have much hope of the citizens of that city getting any help from city cops. It's extremely clear that the Chief has a bad temper & a lot of distain for the people.

When you see a video of some chief somewhere having to admit to their behavior in a press conference, or address a video directly instead of edited on their Facebook page, it isn't because the chief thinks it's the right thing to do. It's because they were told to by their bosses. Usually the mayor, city manager, city attorney, or whatever title they go under tells them they have to.

I wonder if Chase, being on Federal property, the Post office is or should affect his case. Most departments don't have jurisdiction on Post office property unless they have a signed agreement with Federal authorities.

Honestly the sovereign citizen angle escalated this in accordance with the cops demand for compliance due to ego. He didnt pull the gun and was murdered over a traffic stop.
