I work overnights at a casino as a janitor. I get spoken to and treated like I am trash and worse, for most of the night by the casino "guests". I've forgotten more law than most of these officers have ever read. I'm a retired police chief. Furthermore, I went to law school. I've even taught at two different police academies. The best thing I did was to take every spare dollar I had was to invest it from the time I was 18. That's why I'm retired at a young enough age to enjoy life. I wouldn't work in law enforcement again for any amount of money. The saddest part is that I've offered to come give free training to departments such as these and not one has accepted.
