If Milroe can work on his ability to read a defense and short and midrange passing. He is hands down a Heisman caliber quarterback. We know he has a good feel for the deep ball and his legs are threat everytime.
Milroe has changed no need to worry
We need o line to give him time to read without getting knocked onto his back. We was one of the worst teams nationally with giving up sacks

@@adamwatson7888 at the start of the season a lot of the sacks were on the O line. They improved drastically though. There were quite a few times Milroe overthrew or underthrew wide open receivers. Also he would miss a wide open receiver and throw into coverage or take a sack. Milroe did get much better at taking what yards he could instead of running around trying to find an open receiver.
@@Youre_Right I was one of the most critical fans of Jalen Milroe at beginning of last year season but when I learned about how much he was sacked over the year last year my whole tunes changed. It’s hard to be able to read defenses and complete passes when rattled he must have been. I agree though with you. He does need to improve more this year and I truly feel our line play will be much better.
This offense has performed at a high level against SEC style defenses with a non mobile quarterback and no depth at running back. Just watch the Oregon game and see how confused the front 7 got with all the different plays out of the same formation. The D linemen didn’t have a clue what was going on half the time. The tide will have all of that plus running backs that can break loose and a qb that can create space and extend out plays at will. This offense also never showed what it can do in multiple tight end personnel.
Idk bout yall, but I'm pretty confident and excited for the future. Coach D and the staff have not missed a beat, like we've said, it still Alabama. The talent and coaches there is a turn key championship team. The recruitment is goin great too. DeBoer is his own coach and staff, but to me is its almost like DeBoer is a young Saban and implemented the "new up to date" type things. In reality you can't compare. This is now DeBoers team. There can't be any "Saban wouldve done this or that" " that's not how Saban would've handled it" that's shit has to be nipped in the bud out the gate and I know it's gone be hard to do, but I see DeBoer makin his statement against Georgia.this 1st season will be his "easiest" year for a NC. U have all our guys that are extremely talented and feel disrespected even worse. They're playing for their teammates, staff, and the U of A brand.not for $. That's what makes them dangerous. All that shit bout Deboer not coachin in SEC is new beast blah blah blah.that works both ways. No coach has tape on him workin with talent like he has at Bama. But he has tape on everyone else. I genuinely surprised Caleb Downs transferred.
I understand that he came because of Saban and TROB, but the fact that Saban is still involved with the Program AND not only is he “impressed”, but also 100% Supportive of the new Defensive Scheme screams volumes!
Additionally the fact that Saban isn’t “Full Blown Walking away” means he’s there for any advice, still a coach because I’m sure if Downs asked him for a Report on where he’s at that Saban would love to grade him, and the fact that Saban is still involved means he will 100% still be reliable source whenever NFL Teams are interested in Players and call him for a Report Card like they have for 17 Years.
Additionally IMO TROB’s best Strength is Recruiting then DB Coach and that’s it saying he’s a bad one.
A lot of Rumors have gone around since he officially entered the Portal that he didn’t want to leave and it was his Dad that made him. It’s also interesting that apparently he’s not enrolled into Classes at OSU which is odd if true.

Caleb got beat a lot in coverage last year and I know it was a freshman thing but I think he need to hone in on those coverage skills

Similar to what saban and Kirby ran in the 90s.
Everybody knows the center for Bama last year was on the take. Constantly hiking the ball low (which Milroe has to take his eyes off the defense and look down for the ball) and even against Michigan 2 offside calls. How the hell does a center get 2 offside calls?
He absolutely was. Seth ruined the entire season for Bama. I hope he ruins it for Ohio as well.

Milroe is a QB. Give him an offensive line that can give him time and he will prove it

I am glad that Saban is reported to be impressed. AL base was a 3-4-4, alot like an old 50. BUT we saw alot of 4 on line of scrimmage but, one was a LB. UW did not set up that way. Even my JV HS team had a "rover" so what. I am not all together happy with a 4 DL? set up. We don't have 4 DL in recruiting pipeline. I think 4 are vulnerable unless they align with more of a Nose Tackle look. UW did not. Conversely TX ran a 4-3-4, UW was successful against TX, not the same OC now tho. I do think that Jalen will be successful if the Reese strategy is followed put him in the best plays for his capability.

@@davebryant8050 out the door? He still works for U of A. He’s director of football operations. He just doesn’t have to do the 16 hour a day grinds. He’s still there evaluating everything and offering his knowledge and expertise. The dynasty and process is still there. With a 12 team playoff it’s guaranteed Alabama will still be in the NC picture. So get over that.
If KDB rolls out Milroe as QB1 I’m going to laugh in his face. Dude needs to be playing a different position.
