The 3 -4 alignment have some 4 -2 -5 { NICKEL} principles, and 4-2-5 have some 3 -4 principles. IMO there are two defense ODD and EVEN. The personal makes the defense , not the alignment. Teach what players can learn, and what works for your program / school.

Buffalo is a great example of a 4-2-5 base in the NFL.

If I could only give an OL one tip it would be to never be standing there watching a ball carrier get tackled. Your job is either to be blocking someone or looking for someone to block until the whistle blows.

I’m seeing a lot of Oline problems besides bama I think it’s because cfb is changing and it could be that the teams are better because of the portal has made teams better upfront.

People may not agree but when I seen the Oklahoma head coach talk about Alabama I had a feeling he knew something about the team. You guys should watch how he speaks about Alabama before the game. I would be surprised if he didn’t know how many times Milroe pissed and farted the whole year.

I highly doubt with this young mans character he did this on purpose, I think he was trying so hard that he wasn’t even aware of himself. At the same time money talks.

If he had both straps cinched on that helmet he was running the ball. If he had one loose or often at times this year he had both sides loose he was throwing or handing the ball off.

Interesting analysis. We all have unconscious tendencies. It would be interesting to know if the defense was adjusting. I would think it would give the defensive line a huge advantage to identify a QB tell. Also, isn't this the kind of thing the QB coach would notice?

Going into Michigan game, Milroe hadn’t thrown a td pass since October and all of Bama media still wanted him on field, that’s what people should be discussing.

Don't forget, Michigan was the ones watching enough to know your play calls. They would have watched enough.

As to people discussing intentional or not. They are not saying it is; it is a tell or a tendency. Something the other team can pick up on to tip them off before the snap. Or staff should also be looking for these things on the other team and or team. They should be removing them when possible from our play. Self-scouting. Miss you in the secondary George, the takeaway from what I now call the 2nd fastest man in the NACC and the get off my star hit. You tha man!

This is my first time watching you guys. You can break down the tape really well, but you guys talk really slow. I watched this whole thing on 1.5x speed and it sounded like a normal conversation that's not sped up at all.

Knapp is good and got better as the season went on. He stepped into LT at last second before the season started, as a freshman replacing another freshman Charles Jagusah, a high 4* and 5* by some raters, and was considered the best OL man. That said, Knapp is not guaranteed to start next year. He needs more weight and strength and quicker feet, imo. OL recruiting has been great in Freeman's tenure. Joe Rudolph is the OL coach and among the best. Watch our TE Cooper Flanagan go in motion and trap the UGA interior leaving any of 3 RBs to get skinny and break off a minimum of 10 yds, show a leg (as my dad used to say) and break it for minimum of 30 yds.

Pretty good breakdown. You guys know football well, and explain designs and fits well. Whoever wins this game should make the finals. More confident it will be ND than I was in the two close losses 5-6 years ago. But for God’s sake please stop calling Notre Dame Michigan. 🤣

Georgia has more Team speed of Defense than we have seen all season. As fans, we have watched the Notre Dame Offensive Line become better and better with each game... HOWEVER, I am deeply concerned for this game in terms of our O-line vs their Front 7. See, Georgia can get pressure bringing just 4. THAT is a problem. If they can spy Leonard, AND get pressure with only 4, then the Irish Offense becomes absolutely 1-Dimensional: Jeremiyah Love. As amazing as Love is, he can't do it all by himself. I think the TEs and any WR not named Jordan Faison will be keys to the Offense.

Notre Dame is fast and physical just like us. Uga has been here before. Minus our qb we are the healthiest we've been all year. That should be a scary thought.

Games gotta get played, but ND is better than a lot of people think despite losing all American cornerback and one of our best defensive lineman. Remember we started season with an O line with a combined 6 starts, and have been playing a lot of young guys. We gotta be ready to play, but I believe we will beat GA. Fantasy land. Uga 250 on the ground 300 in the air. Gunner broke Trevor Lawrence and dashawn watson passing record for state of ga. Do some research or film study before you run your mouths. This is like fall practice 3 weeks before 1st game offense install. Uga is all healthy at every position. ND is not fast enough on defense and stout enough on line of scrimmage just ask texas about that. Beck was making all our games harder than they should have been with his poor reads and decision..the only team that can beat uga is not playing and that's old miss. What planet are you guys from.
