i bought this as my first gaming monitor. I'm a casual gamer, before i've always used normal office monitors with 60hz refresh, 8 ms delay, ecc. I bought Samsung Odyssey G4 at the price of 250$. I think this is the best 25/27'' gaming monitor at this price. Maybe at the same price you can find some monitor in 2K instead of FHD, but they will always have less refresh rate (75-144Hz) and more delay and 5 ms of reponse delay. I also needed a Monitor with 2 HDMI to connect both PC and Nintendo SW, and this monitor was just perfect for its price! (low/medium budget) If you're looking for monster monitors you should probably look for 400$+ This is my opinion :) Thank you @SunCycleMalaysia for sharing yours!
What about minimum brightness? Not too bright? I returned the MSI Optix G2412 monitor due to the fact that the minimum brightness is too bright. To understand MSI G2412 at 0% as LG 24GN600-B at 40% in brightness.
Just picked up one of these up for $279 and I think for that price this monitor is undefeated. Amazing quality at such a value and the hz rate is the best! I use this and a 165hz Asus Tuf gaming together now and the Odyssey is my new main!
What picture settings do you use? I've just bought a couple of these having come off a couple old Samsung screens I've had for almost a decade and they just look so different. I feel like I've set them up wrong or something because they seem so dark and over-contrasted? but I can't seem to fix it in settings. Maybe I'm just too close to them, but I can't really help that tbh.
Incredibly high-qualified review! I'm genuinely surprised that you have a subscriber count that small. You definitely deserve more! Thank you for the video, with love from Kazakhstan! 🇰🇿💖
The reason esports or competitive players in general dont need more then 24-27 inches is very simple, you will either have to put the monitor further away the bigger it is, or suffer having to move your eyes a longer distance to reach the edges of the screen, and since a bigger monitor close up will lower your focus point for your eyes, its more easy to not see movement or changes closer to the edges, essentialy no point in going bigger just more money, maybe you can argue its better for your eyes to have a 30inch monitor much further away? this i dont know
Correct, i mean its literally a complete myth that staring at a monitor can do damage to your eyes long term. Blue light will only cause temporary eye strain, and most definitely will not cause long term issues. Smaller monitors are better for competitive gaming.
I’ve been doing so much research on monitors to see what’s the best upgrade from my 60hz monitor and I’m definitely sure now I’m picking this up for Black Friday

Yes I saw it on the video and played on 165 hz phone and was still there. With 140 hz, HD, 1 ms, FPS panel this should NOT be the case... Why are we seeing it 😭
I have the 27" version. And it's pretty good but if you use 240Hz and enable the Freesync Premium, Text on the Desktop goes blurry. You have to step down to 120Hz in the Windows Display Setting to 120Hz to get the text to appear clear again. On another note even though the bezel on the monitor is pretty thin on the side and top there is black bars on both left and right sides and the top. This is by design. And rather disappointing to say the least. It's not a full panel display.
How do you enable freesync premium? Do you just enable freesync normally, and the monitor uses freesync premium automatically? And is the text going blurry at 240hz a real problem? Should I stop myself from buying it because of it. How noticeable is it?
W the 25" version literally costs 5 Euros more in Germany than the 27" version, but with it being FHD, I wouldn't recommend getting the 27" if u don't sit like 5 feet away from the screen once u sit to close u can start counting pixels and that just sucks ngl.
