HERE WE GO! Welcome to another episode Explore Builds! After travelling the roughest roads in Australia over the last 12 months the 79 finally started to show some wear. A few issues started to pop up as we approached our Cape York trip and I figured it was a good time to give it a birthday and make sure it would be up for the challenge ahead! STEDI lights mate, had em for over 10 years, never a problem!
Love the facelift build on the big girl 🔥🤟🏼🔥
Seeing the smile on your face after the tune was priceless. You obviously love the 79 series. The power and the sound almost makes me want to buy one......almost....lol.
Looking forward to the new trip series.
GSL high flow dpf wouldn't have been a bad I idea. Just saying...
Best of luck . Stay clear of the 2nd Tbar range crossing when the EPA have their tripod set up
So excited to see a South African product,a product from home.☺
Love the mode 6 epic idle sound, seems like a nice bunch of guys at just auto’s.
Seems like a dodgy bunch of blokes who don't mind telling the world there doing highly illegal mods with hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of fines
Insane power. Cant wait to see your upcoming trips mate. Whoohoo
The front tow bar mount is mint for loading a car trailer if it don’t have a winch you can use the Ute one
Awesome setup! Watch out for that 5th with all the power, you might want to go down to 4th when you tow the boat up a hill or pretty much anytime you really want to put your foot down.
Yet it's still a cruiser... spewing.
I love my great white 'attack' lights have em on all 3 of my cars now cant recommend enough! hit a deer a few months back and snapped the bolt picked the light up of the side of the road still working mint🤙
Lazer lamps hands down, best lights money can buy
Those new bullbar and side sliders look great!!
Another top episode mate. Keen em coming
All the GeAR no IdEa!¡!¡
T shirts online now ! Www.Theexplorelife.com.au
Loving your replies mate haha. Class and hunour to hatersssss
Looks great all the best with your trip.
Looks and sounds mint Matty well done 👏
Hahaha this a wicked! Sounds amazing
been looking at your bar in the stories and wondering what the heck the arb bar was doing looping around the front. was like scrolling through your pics trying to figue it out ahhahah!
How could you not go for a lightforce light setup.
Aussie made.
Best light I've ever run had them for years.
Epic matt. She’s a rig now! I can see you using the lope tune a fair bit haha.
Fyrlyts would be cool to put on, Aussie engineered. 👌
The facelift looks so good on the 79 Matty and definitely would have to run Stedi X pro 8.5” or Supernova spotties 🤙
I've got the supernova infinite 8.5s and absolutely love them. Best on the market imo
You forgot the most important thing - LIFETIME GUARANTEED
Hella RokLUME lights work awesome and being rectangular really works on a 79
Xray Vision Matty. Best spotties I've ever had!!
Had to pause it before 10 mins in to come here and read the comments 🍿🍿
I recommend the spotty from 7inch and 9 inch from x-ray vision lights
The front bar is different, not my cup of tea tho but long as your happy with it that’s the main thing 🤙
I've been a fan of the Onca bar for a long time. I first took noticed due to its good looking design. I like how the side hoops continues and wraps to the side of the vehicle. Unlike many other bullbars which only have hoops that covers the front. It's just a shame their 80 Series bullbar isn't design like it is for the 70 Series.
Rig is looking siiic! I was frothing, so I can only imagine how you are feeling. The Just auto section was really informative on the tech stuff of the turbos, which I like. And the guys at the Bush company always look like they are having a good time.
Spotties: Most of the major brands spot lights look good. And most last the distance. If you need the longer distance go the proper round spotties. Otherwise if its just more spread combined with a bit of distance, maybe go two light bars. I run two, and it works great, and I get just shy of 1 kilometres down the road. Mounting I suggest: 0ne hanging down from top rail (legalities in some states, and one on the bottom. Also allows more airflow too.
You did an awesome job mattyat the start I wondered why it needed anything new but fuck it looks sounds and goes sick!!
Looks badass!!
Would definitely check out the Hardkorr BZR-X SERIES 9″ LED DRIVING LIGHTS Matty! They have a curved DRL which contours with the light and would tie in nicely with the DRL on the PVS light 👌🏻
Yeah ive been running their gear bars for 5+ years and never had water/dust ingress such good quality glad more people are running them
@@Tom-lf8hx same here mate. Have a set of the 9’ spotties and love them👌🏻
Those circular receivers are also great because they allow you to lift the car and then push it over out of a rut.
Should call that place “Time Bomb Auto’s”
Good luck with it Matt ?
Was thinking that too. i guess well see some interesting vids in the future.
its all content at the end of the day
what a beast mate!
This guy is like a 70s used car salesman lol 😆
Bar looks rad bro. :)
That thing sounds 👌
Teralume icon spots for sure. Unreal.
That smile when Matty heard 1000nm 😏😂
Stedi type x pro are mint. Love mine!
I run 3 supernova spotlights and rate them highly. Definitely recommend
I got 2 HTX2’s and 2 venom led from lightforce… so much light the suns jealous ❤️💯
Awesome awesome episode mate, the rig looks amazing definitely a job well done in the face lift..👌👌
Probably the only reliable new thing on this build is the old Lightforce spotties themselves lol. Don't change em
Dam that sounds insane
Stedi lights are definitely the go
The Onc bar is nice. It almost pays homage to the KZJ78
Baja Design Lights seem to have insane performance and also lifetime warranty ;) or hit up Lazer lamps super expensive (rally R&D) might wanna sponsor you Matt.
Sounds phat !!!
Matty must be loaded! 🤑🤑
Wow that’s nice
Wow just wow very game
Thats a lot of work to drive on a bitumen road.
Holyy! thats awesome but im happy with my 200hp and 600nm torque. As long as I can tow with enough power but def would like an auto in the future. Awesome build.
So ya sponsorship changed would be the reason for changes😂😂
wont last long at almost 400hp mate
Very noice!
looks mint, have a great trip
cheers mate!
Get some Ultra vision 180 maxx brilliant lights and Australian made too
Front looks wicked apart from those round spots, they don't suit at all. What about a bar just under the top rail of the bull bar.
The rig is looking good! 😍
TMR HAS ENTERED THE CHAT
I’m curious, what good is a valet mode if the valet can just turn the dial at their fingertips?
Does the knob come off?
I was laughing harder at the immobiliser position that he told everyone about 😂
Regardless of what spotties are good, bad or otherwise you’ve got ARB gear that has failed and they have one of the best warranties I’ve ever experienced so why outlay more cash when they would replace them with no questions asked.
Yeah absolutely mate. Ran out of time but chasing up warranty now
Steadily Type X are epic 👌🏼
I would go with stedi mate look good are very strong and are bright as
Fyrlyt’s are really good, Aussie engineered and made
Nemesis 12000. Awesome and No LED eye strain
Love mine
Now you definitely cant sell it..😂😂It looks too good mate
This is going to hurt the wallet. 2:30 "I feel like I'm in safe hands BUT a lot of gear has come out"
Did all the same mods and what a weapon they are, but add a gear box to your spares draw You’ll go thru a few
I’d be swapping out to a auto - worth the conversion especially for beach and highway work!
@@tonyf7997 the 200 series auto conversion is only rated at 900nm
@@beardmoto - thanks for this I was not across that figure-,it all gets away with each mod you do to beef up any 4x4 … where do we stop?
How good is Lightforce 10 year old lights still do the trick 👌Austalia made prefect
Lightforce all the way 💡 💯
Couldn’t agree more mate. Plenty of options out there, but why wouldn’t you go with the best gear there is ❤️ #Lightforce
Should have done a Dirty Sanchez delete as well
Lightforce HTX. HID and LED. Best of both worlds. Serious Light power 🤘
The “gray nomad hitch” is what they call it😅 but they make a massive difference when you’re reversing 9m of boat and trailer around the back of the house👌 trying to pivot from steer wheels another 5m from that. the change in steering location is like using a forklift well worth the mod!
10x better! Looks bloody awesome! Just autos the best in the business as well.
Love your videos mate
Wow went to town
Stedi for sure mix it up twin st3303 pro in the bullbar
Your a good looking guy. Shave that damned stash bro
Should have gone further into the data of pulling the catch can off. Would have been interesting.
I’m happy with my Provent 200 - on from leaving the showroom floor!
lots of reaserch out their proving the point, key is with egr deactivated
Catch cans stop oil mist re entering the intake. People do this to stop tar forming from the combination of dirty EGR gasses and oil mist. If the EGR loop is blocked the oil mist alone has nothing to bind to and is just burnt by the engine. No harm.
@@radovankovacic9731 I understand the use and benifits.
Thats not data though, which is why i said it would be interesting to see his data. Its not a comment from lack of understanding of its use. But thanks for taking the time to reply.
Stedi type x pros hands down!
Hahahahahaha Chinese rubbish
Very soon "guys xyz came to the rescue and provided me with new lights"...
Another advertisement video...
Only here cause of ronnys video
(14:15) amazing figures from stock BUT that would worry me from that little 4.5 ltr engine longevity gone out the window ???????
You should go for some stedi spot lights, work a treat
Mate Teralume Gen2 spotties are next level
......typo. You have to go the latest Nitro Maxx spotties from Ultra Vision Lighting. Aussie designed & Made - Ridiculous Performance.
Check out the Supernova Lighting Infinites had 3 of them vs stedi and there was no comparison
STEDI on the front for sure
I see you guys at Earlville shops in Cairns the other morning..
Make sure you do the finke gorge 4WD track west of Alice springs
Does the shop sell publicly the high flow 4inch dpfs yet or are they still undergoing testing and durability.
Gsl make one
Hey Matt go Ultra Vision Lights and there Made in Aus
Would have been interesting to see how much carbon was in intake with catch can installed 🤠
Lots because they don’t work.
@@det7474 they do work for what they’re intended which is catching the oil vapour not stopping carbon build up
@@det7474 they do work. Let’s hope the authorities don’t get hold of this business due to turning off EGR and removing DPF. So in other words it is illegal and unroadworthy vehicle.
@@stevespatrol let’s hope they do and fine all of them
@henry legal way to reduce intake clogging, blocking egr is illegal as its part of the vehicle’s emissions control
Get some Lightforce HTX2s on the front of it, they are second to none. Go easy on the gearbox with all those horses 🐎 😂
Nah go 1 better get ultravision 180 maxx lightforce outdated compared to these
STEDI lights are good and look epic as well. You should try them out.
Finally Matty someone who knows what they are talking about with genuine knowledge of their trade. not just catch can sheep follower like most shops.
Great vid.
How much did the just autos power mod cost ?
That Safari ecu is actually a motec m1...shame the boys didn't have a crack at tuning that as i believe they're top dog for any future mods etc.
Ronny Dahl dislikes this 👎🏽 🤭
Laser lamps for the spotties
