79 Series Landcruiser with 8 Speed auto and 2 tunes on factory ecu. World First?!?!

- This week we get a 79 Series Landcruiser from 8speed to do one of our 2 Map Power Tunes!
So that’s a worlds first on a worlds first surely!
We have used factory ecu with no piggy back to have 2 tunes at the push of a button in the dash!
We can do the 2 Map Power Tunes on the 76, 78 and 79 Series Landcruiser as well as the 200 series.
There will be more models available soon!

To be honest I cannot understand an automatic gear box on off road vehicles.
Why does tray weight make a power difference on the dyno?
The extra weight on the roller changes how much it can roll up on the roller so changed output. Same as different tyre size, stock to 35” is a massive difference. We have covered this in a earlier UA-cam episode

Map 2 Power tune achieved the same outputs as a stock standard 4 Cylinder 2.8 Prado 150 motor.

The cruiser is on 35s and has been tested from the wheels, all Toyotas power figures from stock are at the crank mate. Not a direct comparison.
Thankfully there are people around that understand 🙏

You come off sounding like a butt hurt 79 series fan boy, but the numbers don’t lie & one would think in your game you ought to know the numbers. 🙄
I have a 2.8 2022 Hilux with more power and torque than both the Prado and the 79 so doesn’t bother me in the slightest
You just need to make sure you understand how manufacturers give their power and torque figures and how 35” tyres affect power and torque readings.
Like I said, bring your Prado in and we can see what the numbers say.
But I can tell you it won’t be what you have copied and pasted from Toyota website.
And I’ll even jam some 35” tyres on it to show you the difference as well 👍🏻

Can you provide the info to convert a 70 series to an 8 speed ZF auto, please.
just autos uses the wholsale automatics's 200 series 6sp, this cruiser is fitted with zf 8hp 8sp so he's kinda right
will be the most unreliable vehicle on the road now
