This has always been god tier, when it comes to superbands! I'll never get tired of listening to Traveling Wilburys. Every time I do, it makes me do a deep dive into Jeff Lynne's, Bob Dylan's, Roy Orbison's, Tom Petty's, and George Harrison's music all over again. Not a weak link in the bunch! It'll be a very sad day when Jeff Lynne and Bob Dylan have reached the end of the line.
Hello, Could you tell me if the extended version of "Runaway" is available on a CD that I can buy. I have the 2:30 version but like the 3:36 version better. Please advise. Thank You, JohnH
@@JohnHunter-vl3gs Hi John. There are 3.36 minute versions here on You Tube. If you have a PC or laptop you can download an app called Media Human that will allow you 25 free downloads from You Tube. You can download either the video or just the MP3 track. It's a trial but you don't have to buy it after. Good Luck 🙂
Just a group of guys who already had it all but just wanted to jam and make music cause that’s what they loved. Never gonna have a band like this again.
That's precisely why the tune is so true, clean, and easy not to mention simply pleasing there's nothing forced or missing . Music for the sake of music . RIP Roy, George, and Tom your voices will never be silent and continue to bring joy to us all
RIP George,Roy and Tom. Tom passing broke my heart. When I was in high school there was a guy looked like TP, his name was Tom too. Always high and wearing sunglasses. When you told him hi Tom, he always responded by saying "hey dude". Then revolution happened, and everything went south. Here, not as much and back home which at the beginning was beautiful but turned into a nightmare. You felt stranded and your country was in hand of aliens. It was gone. Then came TP song "refugee" that song kept me and alot of my friends going. Thanks Tom me and the boys will miss you. 😢
You look at these absolute legends (sadly without Roy), & they just seem to simply enjoy playing with each other. Not even realizing, or caring, what great! music they were creating! What fun they must’ve had; no pressure, just doing what they loved. RIP Roy, George, and Tom, forever.
The love and happy just radiates soooo much. You know Heavens gonna be poppin when they all heafline at the end of the line!!! With some special stars joining in!!!
It's in situations like this that make you realise that George Harrison could hack it with the very, very best and was seriously under-utilised as a mere "Beatle"...
I WAS IN COUNTRY MUSIC BUSINESS FOR FORTY YEARS FIRST AS A ROADIE AND RETIRED ON THE BOOKING END, From the 60 to the 90s and beyond I saw the greats worked for some of them and in no way can the glitter boys in Nashville get as good as the ones who came before them, NASHVILLE is now all about the glitter the sex and having know talent, Any producer or engineer can take any know talent cant pick or sing and make a superstar out of them if they got the sexy ass male or female and they don't mind giving it up for the stardom.
The Drummer is not an addition, Jim Keltner was always a part of the Wilburys and he is a worldwide respected Drummer for decades. He is also a friend of the rest of the Band. It's a shame that he always be ignored. He worked with Elvis Presley, Jerry García, Plastic Ono Band, Eric Clapton, John Lennon, Yoko Ono, Ringo Starr, Joe Cocker, George Harrison, den Rolling Stones, Ron Wood, Bill Wyman, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts, Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Brian Wilson, Neil Young, Crowded House, Fiona Apple, Elvis Costello, Ry Cooder, Pink Floyd, Steely Dan, John Mayer etc. Rolling Stone Magazine listed Keltner as #38 of the best 100 Drummers in 2016. This must be said! He is not a "Wilbury", but he is Buster Sidebury...
Near the end of the video if you watch Tom Petty he switches from playing his Bass from right handed to left handed for only a short period of time, that is hard to do because everything is backwards as far as the strings go. Shows just how great he was! Rip Tom, George and Roy you will be missed!
Hi.. It was a production error. The video was flipped by mistake but had too many views to take down and correct. It does say the video has some errors in the description. But thanks for your comment 🙂

I sure love the Traveling Wilburys, I really miss their music... and I sure miss George Harrison, Roy Orbison, and Tom Petty... So sad they left us... The song is especially good some good advice for us still here.
There isn’t enough money in the world to pay these five musicians ,they’ll forgotten more about music than all the so called musicians of today will ever know. God bless em 👍👍
What a perfect tune, rhythm, lyrics, everything. It all fits in so perfectly. Everytime I come across this song, which is once every few months on UA-cam, I think to myself - what a perfect song, what a masterpiece
Never again will we see such an outstanding collaboration of talent that we will never see again and now that most of them have passed away there really is a Rock N' Roll Heaven🎼!
You know when the last one Goes Heaven is gonna be poppin with Jerry Garcia and Hendricks and Bob Dylan and Jefferon airplane and Jimi Hendrix all guest starring as the Traveling Wilburys with Diana Ross, Aretha on those backup vocals!!!
Love them ❤️ 5 guys who made big in the music industry, all smiling and enjoying each other with nothing to prove 🥲🥲 sadly Roy and George have gone jamming elsewhere ❤️🥰
I am so grateful that these guys were together in my lifetime have recorded all the tracks for my grandchildren so they can share when they are old enough
I loved Tom Petty from the first time I heard him. Even though I missed the others of the band who went before him, when he passed? My heart broke, so sad. I really loved the man even tho I didn't know him personally. God bless him and his family. Just saying.
Tom Petty is Mr. COOL !!!!!! Luv him !!!! Thumbs up if you agree. MR. CALM. MR. COOL. MR. COLLECTED. YOUR THE MAN. They’re having such FUN FUN FUN, music takes you to another world.
David Simpson i regret not seeing Tom Petty in person.. I am such fan of Tom I had a mass said for him in our church. Our priest Fr, Kris’s is a big fan. I read when he died mike Campbell said he looked like angel.
One more thing listen to the song “ Something good coming “. By Tom petty. It’s not well known, But Father Kris’s and I think Tom Petty is singing about heaven. In fact I know he’s singing about heaven. !!!!! 🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠
I was lucky enough to see Tom and the Heartbreakers in London in 87 when he was backing Dylan. Bob was pretty average that night but Tom owned the place. Happy days..

There is so much good feeling in this video it is almost overwhelming. In these days of such hostility and cattiness between artists, it is so refreshing to see a group of musicians whose by word could literally be 'harmony'.
I've never seen such beautiful contentment on anyone ever before as you witness here with these wonderful friends...The Traveling Wilbury's are Awesome 💯😎!!!
This is always the happiest and saddest song I keep in my play list. Growing up with all these icons who have passed. Rest in peace gentleman! you’ve earned it.

This video affirms with me that life is like riding on a train. Some people we know will travel far with us, and some people will be getting off at the next stop. And that’s life. And at some point, we all reach the end of the line And will get off the train.
Wow that's deep and thought provoking. Of course we know we're heading for the final stop from the second we're born. Everyone of us owes a death! Reminds me of a song from the 60's..."When you're born its a great big welcome, when you go its a sad goodbye. And with a bit in between the future's up to you if you laugh or cry". Best of all time in totality. No one held back (George, Beatles), just everyone sharing their gifts to us. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
