This race wasn't that great, and that finish didn't make it any better. This was an embarrassment to the sport. As a Texan I am saying this with full confidence. In my mind Texas Motor Speedway is the worst mile and a half track, and in my mind it needs to go ASAP.

I love nascar too, but as another Texan I have to agree that TMS is rather stale. If Ross hadn’t had a giant wreck like he did, this would’ve been a very forgettable race. You get out front in the clean air, and it becomes a race for second

BS caution put Blaney in the situation he was in with the window net. Should have let him come down pit and fix the window net and gave him his spot back.

No, they should have made him come down the pits and then returned him to the back of the pack. The caution wasn't the reason his window net was down. Him putting it down when the race wasn't over was the reason for it. I'll agree the caution was questionable, but he shouldn't get a pass for his own mistake.
Nascar didn't want Blaney to win this race. That's why made another restart! Blaney won this race the first time and the second fair and square.

I remember when the All-Star race was must-watch TV with only the best of the best drivers and hard, short racing. Now it's bloated garbage at an awful track full of gimmicks. Hopefully North Wilksboro fixes the track problem

I honestly have never cared for the All-Star. To me, the open is more interesting since it's the guys fighting to make the big show, sort of like the Duels at Daytona. But this is definitely the biggest BS All-Star. Even worse than 2015 or 2016 when Matt Kenseth got screwed by their dumbass rules.
One of the worst races in NASCAR history. No passing, gimmick format, terrible officiating, and at one of the consistently worst tracks. A good guy winning is about the only good thing.
Edit: I guess Truex’s crew chief forgot when JGR tried to rig the 2019 Daytona 500 final restart too.

No, the worst race was the all star race in 2014 I think. All of the drivers and announcers had no clue what was happening. Tony Stewart called it "The most screwed up all star race ever"

This race was everything wrong with NASCAR in a single event. Confusing rules. Inconsistent officiating from NASCAR. And racing at a track they have no business racing at anymore.
Everyone is focusing on the situation Blaney was put in. You know what would’ve avoided it? Ending the race when the race is supposed to finish instead of trying to milk the entertainment factor with the stupid overtime rules. And that race was a PRIME example of why overtime should not exist in motorsport.
Get back to the business of RACING, not “racing entertainment”.
You know what would have avoided it. Not putting your window net down before the end of the race.
This race was an embarrassment for intermediate racing and the entire sport. GET. RID. OF. TEXAS. MOTOR. SPEEDWAY.

That reconfiguration in 2016 was the final straw for me. IndyCar won't even go there anymore after they ruined it even more with the traction compound. If we're gonna keep Texas let's just say f**k it and make it a plate race. Can't be worse than the one lane snooze fest the track's put on over the years.

They aren't getting rid of Texas, especially with the fan turnout increase and positive reception there. They should try something different there or listen to the driver's on fixing the track.

No, the caution came out well before he crossed the line. There are plenty of video and photo's they showed where the yellow lights were on clearly before he crossed the line.
Texas Motor Speedway is getting the "Too Big to Fail" treatment. Doesn' t seem like anyone seems to like it outside of SMI.
S1apshoes brought me here, and his dad summed it up best, that this whole thing was 🐮+ 💩.
