Helloooo @AncientGameplays, could we please get a ryzen 7500/7600 OC guide if you have the time?
@@costialex1509 i will do it then
@@AncientGameplays great video, your conclusion was spot on, but keep in mind prices can vary wildly in different countries. In markets were the 5700x3d has an inflated price, you should go with an all new AM5 build, no matter if you own an AM4 motherboard. Also I'd avoid putting 105w CPUs on A320 or A520 motherboards. Even if there's support for such CPUs, VRMs tend to be weaker, at the very least needing additional cooling.
I'm still on AM4 and have a 3600, i'm going to upgrade to 5700X3D, I bought it for 178 dollars from Aliexpress. I'm not regretting it.
If you already have AM4 and you had a 3600, that's a HUGE upgrade
Sell your 3600 before it's too late
Nice i was in the same spot, I happened to go ahead and jump from 3600 to 7600X and let me tell u that difference is insane
Same to me.
I just bought a 5700x3d to upgrade my 2600, I've had it for two days now and my god is the difference night and day. Actually doubling my FPS in many situations given how I was cpu bottlenecked lmao
For the value, 5700x3d is a beast. I've paired it with a 7800 XT and couldn't be happier
Have you watched the video?
amdip
@@AncientGameplays he is cooked
Yep, If you are on am4 the 5700x3d is a beast, it is not worth upgrading to am5 at all unless it is to upgrade to a 7800x3d.
@@AncientGameplays I think he is still on AM4 board.
Currently rocking a r5 7600 and it was the first AMD cpu I bought, never been more satisfied.
I had a 7600x and it was the snappiest CPU i've ever seen in my life. I got a 7800X3D for kicks, and it's been great. With all the nonsense Intel is pulling these days, pumping unsustainable levels of power into the 13-14900k just to stay afloat, they'd have to really impress in the next few years for me to buy Intel again. And all the weird scheduler stuff with the e-cores. IDK.
Also it's so nice knowing my mobo has at least another couple upgrade cycles left if I decide to do so. People are still getting current performance levels with like a 6 year old ecosystem. Who knows how long they'll be releasing 8950X3D's and shit
@@hansolo631 whats your mobo?
@@hansolo631 intel is broken 300 watts to reach good fps and still behind 7800x3d... they make benchmark cpus not gaming cpu.

this channel doesn't miss. keep up the good work my friend.
Thank You as always!
Thanks for this video. Keep up the good work.
5700x3D owner here. Two tips:
1) Do the ram timings tweaking. Gave me 10 % better score in Geekbench. Totally free performance.
2) Set curve optimizer to -30. At stock, the CPU is boosting to 3,925 GHz all core. With CO at -30, it goes to 4,050 GHz. Free 5 % performance gain while running cooler at the same time. It's a pitty you didn't include CO tweaking to your results as well.
5700x3d is already with some tweaked subtimings (exactly the same on both frequencies). Curve optimizer doesn't do much and some motherboard don't even allow it (tested it several times, just good for temps)
@@AncientGameplays You don't need the motherboard to support it, I did it in Windows.
@@darexas1602How? I've been trying to undervolt my Ryzen 5 5600 because of stock cooler and my Gigabyte B550M K motherboard doesn't support PBO2
-30 is almost always unstable.
@@darexas1602 You did it with Ryzen Master, which I dislike. Also, I found that in some cases you'll have lower performance by use CO on the 3D chips
Thank you very much for this! I am on AM4 motherboard and needed to see if I can upgrade my 5600.
Would you recommend going for 5700X3D or 5900X if I only care about gaming?

hi man i hve i5 12400 and im thinking of upgrading , do you think i should sell my mobo and ram and cpu and go with am5 r5 7600x or should i just upgrade to something like i5 13600k or 14600k ? // great video
This man is really helpful, the kind of comparison I was craving for. Maybe throwing in some World of Warcraft and FFXIV benchmark could help a lot, because there are just a few of them around. Muito obridado.
Cool stuff. I'm very happy with my 5700X3D (already had an AM4 system to drop it in) but it is always nice to see more performance become available for cheap.
The plug and play of the x3d chips is a must, not all the people know how to overclock and tweak memory correctly, x3d only needs to use xmp and you are good to go.
True, the thing is with ddr5 hynix you can literally copy timings and tweak it, and static oc is not hard. Even at stock the 7500F delivers 94% of the 5700x3d performance
Pretty early-ish. Love performance data from Fabio.. informative and hilarious.
Thanks haha
4:20 - Please stop cutting off the first half of the X-axis scale. Visually is makes the 5700 "look" like it performs less than half as well, when in fact it's within 10%
Graphs exist to provide a sense of scale. This graph and several others you show do not do this and are visually misrepresentative. You'd almost be better off just showing the results in text.
Being presented on a visual medium, I hope you'll reconsider for future graphs.
YES, I know, I forgot it in terms of scaling, I already fixed it and will be good for next videos, thanks :D
Love the starting vids everytime. Miss the F1 kid.
Yo bro it's been a long long time ago since i stumpled upon your Channel and for me as a Person who only use AMD parts your channel is basically my holy mekka thank you so much for your Work ❤Peace And Love from South Germany !
Would love to see a video of what exactly you did to tweak the ram timings and over lock on the 7500f.
I did a sidegrade from 5800X to 5700X3D - was able to sell the 5800X so it covered like 75% of the cost of the new CPU. So I have a bit worse performance in regular apps, but better FPS/1% lows in most games and significantly lower power usage and heat thanks to Kombo Strike 3.
Are you reading my mind, I was pondering between giving my AM4 platform a last hurrah or giving in to AM5 and here we are
same here
Go AM5, you will not regret it.
I bought a 7500f from marketplace for 150usd new, I couldn't be happier with the purchase. I also use it with an ak620 cooler and at maximum capacity it does´nt exceed 55° :D
I am also thinking about to purchase it is that a good cpu?
@@MalXGAMING. Of course, I use it in conjunction with an rx 6700 xt and I use 100% of it, in terms of general performance it is a very good processor, it has not limited me at any time.

for people who are still on am4 platform, still this processor is a beast one day I will upgrade to 5700x3d from my trusty 5600 non x when budget is not an issue. upgrading to a new platform though cost a lot more than staying on am4 but you will be also good for newer releases in the new am5 gens.
I've been rocking the 7500f stock since i got it a few months ago, could you make a tuning video on the little beast?
Bro make a video on nvmes which nvme are you using and what storage is okay for gaming pc i was thinking about 1 or 2tb because i only have 2 slots in mb so which should i pick
Hey Fabio. Could you tell us which B650 motherboards are an ok buy?
I've seen lots of other youtubers bashing B650 motherboards, especially Asus TUF and MSi Tomahawk.. Now I have no idea which one to go for. Or are X670 boards the only good ones?
B650 Livemixer is decent for 150 dollars, spending more won't give you significantly better board than that. Foe budget builds B650M-HDV/M2 for 100-110 dollars is okay
Interesting Thks , How about 5700x3D with RX 6900xt or another combo is?
Perfect timing as comparing AM4 and AM5 for an itx build I am planning. When Ryzen launched I made the mistake of upgrading to FX8350 as cheaper yet found later a Ryzen 3 1200 was as quick in gaming! So feel it as to be AM5 for new build. Thanks for sharing 👍
Go for it, you will notice a HUGE difference
I have an AM4 motherboard, so I’ll go for the 5700x3d. Can I ask you how could I upgrade my gpu to pair the processor with? (at the moment i have a 6750xt for 1080p, but i’ve been planning to switch on 1440p soon)
I followed Buildzoid's DDR5 for AM5 guide a year ago. Do you have any further tips you learned while turning the RAM?
I think you can push things further, but honestly? I just wouldn't bother at all until better CPU IMCs and RAM kits start appearing

Thanks for the benchmark! Seems like it really makes more sense to build a budget AM5 system for brand new build, than to save a few bucks on the RAM and motherboard for AM4
the think is that overall you don't save anything. You can get a 750F from aliexpress for like $130, and AM5 mobos and DDR5 ram are now cheap

I'm 99% sure the 5700x3d will be stronger than the 7600x in this game with real live usage
The 5700X3D is an awesome CPU for those wanting to upgrade their AM4 builds. Love the 7500F though, awesome $120-$130 CPU on Ali Express
Too bad for ppl that lives in Brazil, recently(after the latest election) the government started reinforcing, creating and changing how taxes are done to things bought outside, 130 will basically turn into 260 here. Wasnt for this shit, the 7500F would certainly be a hella of a cpu to get.

Except if you already have 5700X with tuned RAM. In this case upgrading to 5700X3D provides just about 10% more frames. So even if you are still sitting on an older chip (Zen 1 or Zen 2) and can spend a little time to tune your RAM, 5700X is a better value option.

7000 for any scenario. AM4 only for new builds if used and the price is at least 50% off current retail. $199 7600X still the best choice even if new board and ram is needed. Sell your board, ram, cpu and buy a budget B650/32gb/7600x.
nice video as allways Fabio, can you do how to overclock 7500f in the next video, to know how to do it please, and thank you as allways conming with the amazing information, greetings from Dominican Republic
I believe I can, a lot of people asked for it
@@AncientGameplaysthis would be great. I just got a 7500f on a stock b650m pg lightning mobo and everytime I try to OC through adrenaline or master Ryzen it basically bricks my system.
I’ve realized if my ram and GPU are overclocked, then if I try to OC the cpu it bricks. But if I put my ram back 4800mhz the cpu OC works. Should I be overclocking it by itself in the bios or something?
Can you do a video of the hole 7th gen Ryzen lineup just to compare price per frame and see what is more worth it in the long term ?
Does the 5700X3D offer a meaningful upgrade over the regular 5700X in real-world applications outside of competitive games? I'm coming from a 3600 and I've been looking at these two options. In where I live, the gap between a 5700X3D and the regular one is basically the cost of a 32GB RAM kit. So either I upgrade to the 5700X3D and stick with 16GB, or I get a 5700X + 32GB kit (I'm on ITX so I only have 2 DIMM slots.) My use cases are only AAA gaming and hobby editing- mostly photos and digital art with the occasional 1080p video editing.
Depends. If you're not gpu bottlenecked? Around 20% in most games
Now this is a benchmark i love. Instead of only stock settings. Everyone is pushed to its limits
hey there, what about 5800x3d co-30 plus unvervolt? mine keeps 4450mhz during 99% scenarios, too happy with it and efficiency is crazy good.
you got an extremely good sample. Although most mobos don't allow CO on X3D CPUs, and some others that do make the frequency faster, but somehow the overall performance is lower (tested it myself)

That should make these benchmarks easier to do for CS2.

@AncientGameplays how do you calculate the CPU score for Blender benchmark ?
The axis with excel waa broken I guess
@@AncientGameplays the total score in blender is the sum of the scores from the three scenes of the benchmark. I did not know that for sure at the moment when I wrote the comment. But I know for sure now 😊
Well, if something was broken in your excel, I think I didn't catch it 🤷♂ so it's fine 😁 The charts seem ok.
Good job with this video, as always. Keep it up! 👍
PS - as you or somebody else might be curious, in blender 4.1.0 I've got 217.80 and 212.96 points for 5800X and 5800X3D, respectively.
Both have PBO+CO and the X has also auto-oc boost +100MHz.
The memory is 3200/cl16 and 3600/cl18, respectively.
If you're on 3rd gen Ryzen or older, I'd go for the drop in upgrade but building brand new, the 7000 series in general is just a no brainer. Last June I upgraded from my Ryzen 5 3600 to a Ryzen 7 5800x3D on a flash sale for $260 USD. Loving it ever since but you can get similar performance going to Ryzen 7000 for a brand new build.
I love 5700x3D, CPU is the only I need to buy for my current AM4 build to upgrade and have it almost on par with the latest gen of the Ryzen series. I play black desert online after work and the stability of FPS from 3600 to 5700x3D is an absolute win.
Great to see such comparison!
Thanks!
I am always more curios as to know if its more the RAMspeed with the difference, vs the platform
example, I wonder what results would be if we could clock the RAM ay 3600 on the 7500f
for that the timings would need to be exactly the same as well
@@AncientGameplays indeed, but it would tell the real story
Maybe I missed it, but what was the tweak to the DDR5? Some of the results were quite impressive for the 7500F!
I stated it on the previous video and one or 2 times on this video too, its the buildzoid video tweak.
@@AncientGameplays The previous video was a monitor review and there's no link to any buildzoid video. I think the bare minimum should be for you to put a link in the description but /ideally/ for your viewers, you should state all testing conditions - even if you just put the timings up on screen.
[edit] And you didn't mention anything. What does that mean? "I tweaked the ram". That's not information for the viewer!
I found a video from 24th April. I guess that's the one you're talking about. There's no mention of RAM tweaking in your testing methodology section in the video.
In this month i'm thinking a lot about the topic: should i upgrade my 5700x to 5700x3d/5800x3d? (I don't want to spend money for a complete new platform) My most usecase is gaming on a 7900xtx in 1440p ultra settings.

The 7600X and 7500F are reasonable options for a new build, but AM5's platform costs make them a bit... Hm. I can see potential in AM5, but I'd only go for it if I was somehow still on AM3.

They always do, in this video they were bugged but I already fixed them (as seen in the pinned comment)
Not everyone has Photoshop, but everyone can get Davinci Resolve.
I would like to see Davinci Resolve AND personally also Handbrake in CPU tests :) (Just a suggestion)
Thanks for the Tests :)
I just came from a 3700x to a 5700x3d, what an uplift in gaming, gone are the random fps drops, lag spikes and such, much much smoother experience. Quite a bargain overall when i can sell the 3700 for a decent price. And another thing if anyone is wondering, the wraith prism cooler is perfectly fine for this cpu, i just slapped it onto this new 5700x3d and i don't notice any difference in noise or temps.
Does getting a better cpu certainly increase fps in games? Or is it only if you're maxing out your cpu aka getting that cpu bottle neck. I have the 7600x but im considering a 7800x3d or waiting to get one of the 9000 series X3D cpus.
Since no one answered. There is currently a correlation with larger cache means more FPS stability and lower 1% lows which translates to a lot better gaming performance. not exactly higher FPS but avergae will increase due to lower FPS drops
jumped from i5-750 to r5 1600 to r5 7600f, never felt better
Wow, could you make a video about 7500f/7600x manual OC guide?
Yes
Can you go over your DDR5 tweaks and OC??? You are gaining way more performance over just enabling XMP / RAM OC, which is what most of us probably do.
Yes, lay an eye on the pinned comment
Will this cpu matter on ultra wide monitor (3440x1440)?
Hello Bro I have R3 3300X + Asrock B450 Pro 4 R2.0 motherboard should i switch to Am5 or buy 5700X 3D? Will my mobo be enough for 5700X 3D?
your mobo will be fine and will be a HUGE upgrade for you. Go for it
@@AncientGameplays thanks
@@AncientGameplays AliExpress offers confused me,130€ for 7500f was Crazy.I think i Will stay with 5600x+6650xt for a while
Broo thank you so much for this. I was eyeing for a 7500F for my backup system since i see these very cheap on aliexpress but couldnt find a proper bunchmark/review. HWUB and Tech Yes have reviews but they are kinda worthless since they compare against 13400 and 12400, who cares about intel at this point. Needed to see how this does in productivity against other ryzen chips and you just delivered it.
Glad to help :D
How do you "tweak" the 7600x? Do you have a video on it?

@@AncientGameplays thanks brother
I was only able to get my 7500F to1.24V 5.1 under CB23. Then I choose to use CO with -40 and +200 override and it works pretty well and stable in game hitting 5.2 from time to time. In all core workload it's around 5.1 too.
The fact that AM4 is STILL rocking after all these years is just testimony to how awesome the platform has been. I recently dropped a 5700x3d in to my b550 board to replace the 5600x and the jump has been noticeable to say the least!
I would not recommend anyone buying a full AM4 platform now, but these CPU's are only for users on existing AM4 builds as a nice easy way to get a lot more performance without needing to shell out for a whole new rig!
Could you possibly make a 7500f overlock video in the future? Mine black screens after 5.15mhz under 100% load, maybe I’m doing something wrong
I heard that the issue could be that it exceeds 65w and shuts down, any idea how to remove the limitation? On msi b650m gaming plus motherboard
It's 5.15GHz, not MHz. Also, you need more voltage possibly
Fabio, please, make video, how to tweak DDR5 for AMD Ryzen 7000 series CPUs (ASUS motherboard best but use what you can)... Thats my only problem (DDR5 Tweaking)
💙
was looking at the 7600 vs the 5700X3D :) .. i think i'll wait for the 8600 and see how that one performs
For CS2 that i play mostly, I am right now playing on ryzen 1600AF, gonna upgrade to 5700X3D as it is pointless to go new mobo/ram as I 5700X3D is just few clicks away from huge performance boost. AM4 still has a lot of life, I am good next 5-6 years easily
Really need a vid for the 7500F oc
Gonna happen 🤌
