This reminds of our first schnauzer Cindy. My mom bought her as a birthday present for my dad when I was 5. She would run all over the place at my grandparents farm, but would never go in the street and never went too far from you. She looked a lot like your dog.

I feel you, it might take time to let go. I suggest to you and everyone The Sedona Method to let go. It has been like 1 and 1/2 since we lost our 5 year old Chihuahua and there still some feelings about her loss. But, I know it necessary to fully let go because we might be getting a mini schnauzer next week, so I want to treat her the best I can.

@@TurnerTurnip I don’t agree with the chopping off tails or ears. But I herd it’s very common to clip the ears and tails of terrier breeds because they are mostly trained for rat hunting. Because rats would be able to grab their tails and ears. And they also have all the extra hair on their faces So if a rat does attack them they’ll get a mouth full of hair before The rat can reach their skin.
Felicity Peach , Schnauzers are such a special breed. I am 64 yrs old and I have been fortunate to have 6 fur babies thru out my life. When I brought my Kaiser home at 10 weeks old changed my life. I had not had a pet that loved me so much. He was my besr friend for 14 yrs. The day he had his last breath at the vets was the worse day of my life. I just sat in the exam room and cried for 40 minutes. I was so upset I couldnt drive home. So I just sat in the parking lot. The cat my daughter left here is borrowing his food and water bowel. His collar and leash are hanging from a mirror in my bedroom. I have thought about getting another, but I keep thinking I would have to go thru it all again. So I watch all the great videos for now!
We had a miniature schnauzer that could not stand squeaky toys. He would chew them to the point of not squeaking anymore. The more it squeaked, the madder he got.
Got one, he is his own comedy show. Finn is his name, Finnegan Tucker, and he is full of energy at 1yr. 9 months. He is very vocal and lets you know when he is pissed by his barking, growl, air blowing and looking up at you from under his eyebrows.
I agree 100%. We have had two schnauzers, and are looking for another one since our precious Cody died in January from hemangiosarcoma. But we had him for 18 months after the diagnosis and the prognosis is usually only 4-8 months even with chemo. So we feel lucky. But the house is now so empty.

Best trick is to use your recall word (I use here) whenever you put down your puppies food. Even if they’re already there. That will get them to associate that word with something nice. Lots of praise and lots of patience ❤️
I lost my 18 year old Mini white Schnauzer Heidi in March of this year, had her since she was 6 weeks old. The biggest lover ever so sweet. I am getting my new little boy mini schnauzer in 3 days. I am so excited and watching these videos i am crying right now with the anticipation. I am sure he will bring me as much joy as my little Heidi did. Still unsure on name. I think when I see him I will know... Fritz or Butch? Butch for a little foofy boy dog seems kinda cute and ironic but my grown daughters dont like that... thoughts???
S Black Hi, thanks for watching. I keep a record of their weight 😂 She was 3.5 Kg at 14 weeks. Maybe around 2 kg or just over at 6 wks. Fully grown she’s around 7kg. My other one is just over 6kg. Hope that helps.

I lost my Schnauzer in February 2020 after 14 years 😥. I will pick up my new Schnauzer puppy on March 15 🥰. So excited!!
