I had two schnauzers up until last year. Brothers and they died within two days of each other. The one you had on the table looked like my Max. I miss him so much. I cry everyday over these two dogs. You did a great job and made the little dog look like a real schnauzer. Thank you
It looks just like mine, whose name was Mike. He unfortunately passed away much too young also. They really do stay with ya, don’t they? They’re little humans.

Sorry to hear that. I have a schnauzer and it took me a long time to even think about getting a dog before I got him. Now i can't imagine or how heart breaking it will be knowing that someday he will be gone.
I am a retired groomer. You did a very nice job on the work. My methods are very much the same, and it is nice to see a calm dog on the table, I still have Mini Shcnauzers and they really fuss on the table. Keep up the great work.
Her edges were not straight clean cut!! They also shouldn't be this short! If you were a groomer gir that long why didnt you givd her the correct advice?
Sorry that last comment was written by Yvonne Sumrow not Natasha Sumrow. I font like uneven cuts! It reflects that a groomer didn't really care enough about the dog or its owner, to take the time to do it nicely. What a shame that is.

Schnauzer are often gentle This job is great but so diificult particulary because dogs move sometimes a lot

yo vi en un video que al perros de aguas hay que dejarles o pelo en las orejas o en la cabeza porque cuando se sacuden les empieza a sangrar las orejas?? por golpear con la cabeza eso es en todos los perros ???

what a well behaved pup! my miniature throws an absolute fit and screams if he even sees me holding scissors 😭 i only want to cut the mats out of his fur so he doesn't get sores, but you'd swear i was hurting him by the noises he makes before i even touch him!!!

You are very good pet stylist thorough talented and caring towards the dog on your table! If I Didn't Know Better I think you graduated from my permit classes! This is coming from award-winning groomer 80s 90s and early 2000s specializing in Terriers, hand scissoring, hand stripping blending and scissoring was thinning shears! I never wore a mask when I groomed none of my students dead and if you've been grooming as long as I think you have starting to wear 1 now wouldn't help! PS I was just resting the last person to comment

I LOVED this video! Thank you. I am a baby groomer and this helped me. I am mostly on the right track. I love how that dog allowed you to do that. I have a client with a mini party schnauzer. It is a whopping 2 pounds of teeth and screaming. I have tried everything to do this poor little terror. I usually am able to build trust with my dogs, but I guess that is who she will forever be. They aren't proactive in getting her something to calm her anxiety and I don't drug dogs. Maybe someday she will stand like this dog. GREAT VIDEO!

Idk why it's so hard to understand, but Schnauzers need to be trimmed in order to keep the skin healthy. It helps Schnauzers to keep cool(er) during summer and warm in winter.

@@alexandravandenhonert3511 how much and why? Saying don't doesn't tell us anything. I was also told by a groomer based on if your dog is in competition or not other than that ok. But keep it up and don't fall behind. So give your explanation as to why or why not.
@@dnisey64 a wire coat helps keep them cooler in summer, warmer in winter. Because of the wire coat, dirt and rain just lays on top of the coat, so you don’t need to wash them as often. They don’t get soaked when outside in the rain and they don’t get as cold. With my wire coated schnauzer, I don’t need to put clothes on him unless it’s -5°c (or if he’s just been stripped, but I keep a rolling coat). By hand stripping you also keep their color, when you shave the color becomes dull. When you strip it stays vibrant and how it is as they’re puppies.

Wow! That’s certainly a talent, and very under-appreciated. My Schnauzer Mike got this work done around 5-6 times before he sadly was hit by a car on the one and only time that he wiggled loose out the backyard. He was just about to turn 10 months, and fortunately had a very active and happy life for it’s duration. He looked nearly identical to this Schnauzer and the groomers always complimented how well behaved he always was during his “spa day sessions”. Great job, and keep up the good work!

Great job truely, but might want to oil those blades. When you did the neck I could see a little where the blades werent cutting as well and moving the skin some. Once again great job and great fade on the sides

You are a fantastic groomer however please wear a mask to protect your lungs so that you do not get “groomer’s lung” in the future. This dog’s hair was like powder while you were scissoring and it was flying all over you. ❤️

Я полностью свами согласна, шнауцеров нужно триминговать, это неправильно стричь под машинку. Портится шерсть и много неудобст в повседневной жизни. У меня у самой две собаки, жёстики, Вест хайленд и цвергшнауцер, тримингуемся и красота, ничего не прилипает, а если и прилипает само отваливается, и выглядят в соответствии с породой, и нет кучерявости.Но это сугубо мое дело.

Great tutorial. We are considering grooming our own Schnauzer due to the increase cost in these grooming prices. OMG! I can tell this Schnauzer is well behaved as is ours except when it comes to grooming around his head/ears. I think the noise of the clippers has a lot to do with it so is there a particular brand/style dog clippers you recommend?
