After so many Hyped reviews I decided to focus on less obvious features of the Hype synth.

Thanks man! Its such a powerful synth when you dig into it, and a great sound too :)
It really is!
I was having the same crashing issues. Thank you for the draw automation tip!
It crashes anyway, but not so often!Hope AKAI will fix it someday, thanks for watching!

Thanks!
You are my new favorite! Excellent videos.
Thanks for the suppot!
Great video and nice editing!
Thank you! You feedback is greatly appreciated, I'm a complete newbie to the art of video editing!
Woah i loved your concept of just sampling your own signal while you go crazy on automation…..happy accidents are the best!!
Yes! Totally agree - happy accidents are the best!
I second that ..when your not feeling very creative you can just sit back and listen
Great info. Thanks.
Glad it was helpful!
I will have to try this out. thanks for posting.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks!
Thank you very much for the support!
Dope as usual
Thanks man!
This is great thank you
You're very welcome!
I double-back to the Hype Synth to get more use out of this tool. Your top 5 tips are very helpful. Cheers!
Happy to help!
Man, great tips. I wish there were more detailed manuals on the Air soft synths.
Yes, I'll think about that! Thanks for watching!
HYPE is such a clutch tool that is often overlooked. I use it on everything I do.
Couldn't agree more, Hype is a very flexible great sounding tool !
Thanx a lot🙏🏿
Most welcome 😊

Hopefully Akai is watching and can fix that bug. Can mod wheel and aftertouch be recorded in the sequencer?
Thanks again for putting a smile on my face!
Thank you very much! Yes, you can record mod wheel and aftertouch in to sequencer - but you have to use the Rec. button or the overdub button - "write" automation function does not work in this case!
very nice video, maybe you can make a video about creating new presets using the various init presets
Great idea! Thanks for watching!
“Hunt for the happy accidents.” 😄😄😄
Yes!😀👌
Good tips. I don't have an MPC, but I'm considering one. Hype looks like a "preset synth" rather than a create-patches-from-scratch synth. Even those init patches you show us are pretty lively - far from the typical single-oscillator sawtooth wave that we all know and love. How satisfied would a person who likes to create patches from scratch be with Hype? I ask because synth UA-camrs don't talk at all about Hype and yet I honestly think it sounds very punchy and compelling.
Yes, Hype sounds really good - and 1500 included patches is a great example what Hype is capable of. Bear in mind, the Hype is primary designed to do the job what usually workstations from Korg , Roland and Yamaha did soundwise in early 2000's. If you looking for comprehensive mod matrix, multiple LFO's and free assignable envelopes Hype is certainly not going to cut it. This is why I was trying to use automation on MPC in my video - to find some workaround of Hype's limitations. I was quite pleased with the results, is a shame MPC is crashing sometimes when automation used on hype macros controls. Thanks for watching!
Hype has some pretty neat patches that will get you sorted in no time. I'm always surprised what you can find when using it. On the other hand - if you want to start designing sounds from scratch - you can use TubeSynth, Odyssey and Bassline, which are also included in the MPC (amongst even more synths).
@@Datacult Yes, in comparison with TubeSynth, Odyssey and Bassline Hype feels little bit like a "preset" synth!
Have you noticed one side of the screen is hot? A lot of crash problems are not just cpu taxing but also overheating. I have a fan on the left side of my X and One. My One only crashed once and X is the famous project load error, but no hard crashing in the 4 years I've had it. Keep them cool.
Wow, this is amazing advice. I live in a relatively warm climate zone, so it makes a lot of sense.! Thanks!
I hope Akai take note of the crashing...
Yes! I hope they will fix that!
gold as usual
Thank you!
Good am Happy Hype Friday!
Thanks for watching!
gave a like for the "absolutely soaked in wet" clip. lol
Thanks!
didn't know that about changing oscillator types, I thought initially this was a pretty limiting factor but it's just behind an odd menu choice.
Exactly! Very odd menu choice!
👍👍👍
Thanks for watching!
i totally don't understand the fade thing in point 4
I have to admit, it was not my best explanation for the fade feature! So, to make it clear, what the fade does, put release down to zero. Open the fade knob roughly like 12.00. Press the pad and hold - change fade settings, press and hold the pad again - fade controls how long the sound is decaying while you are holding the pad down. When adding release to the equation, we have some kind of multistage envelope. I hope this helps! Thanks for the comment. I'll try to do better next time!
How do you save sounds you create?
Every Instrument and effect on MPC has preset management feature, similar to any native AU or VST. By clicking on a 💾 icon I can save any of my custom presets into the internal MPC HD or SD card. When it comes to the sounds with some automated parameters, I usually resample those for a later use.
resempling? hmmm... you have "bounce ta sample" option and it is much easier
Good point! And "bounce to sample" is much faster, thank for the tip!
bounce to sample is actually resampling
@@dkvladutu2 yes, but it work faster!
internel error happens all the time
AKAI have to fix that!
@@MusicianParadise Amen brother break
it crashes damn so it weakness
has been established and we can all try this at home let's try
Yes, it crashes like crazy!
