The Infinit Ryda it’s honestly scary to walk around most of downtown now but they sent alot of the poor people in the noda area to Gastonia so the crime went way up there

God yes sometimes 77 is backed up all the way to Statesville. It's terrible, but I still love Charlotte.

Charlotte is really an excellent city. Love it every time I'm there. Clean and green, really nice people, great buying power (cost of living vs. average annual income), great economy, lovely climate, lots to do (especially outdoors). I travel all over. For those who say it's boring, have an ax to grind or just haven't looked. Great places to see not in this video; U.S. National Whitewater Center, Crowder's Mnt. and Kings Mnt. State Parks, Museum of the New South, Discovery Place, and Lakes Norman and Wylie. There are other things to see, but I'll leave it at that. My wife and I have never been bored here. Nice place to visit, incredible place to live. Highly recommend it!

Visited Charlotte a couple times when my dad was living there. I went to my first NFL game to watch the Panthers play and I've been a huge fan ever since. I loved all the trees and how green it is there. I'm not used to that being from the desert of Utah. Hope to go back and visit soon! Thanks for sharing:)
Overall its an good city to be in. It's ranked 15th best place to live in the usa. 22 biggest metro population, 17th biggest populated city. 22nd best place to retire in. 2nd biggest financial hub in the U.S. Could be the 2nd Amazon HQ. Hot in the summer cold in the winter. Pretty good sports teams with the Panthers making the playoffs

I have never lived in a City so Racist- This City is full of European Germans Racist. If you are not white Caucasian European nationality you would never get a job even if you are the best candidate. If you are black or Spanish origin because your ancestors , you have no chance in this crap City.
Companies as Poly-pore International and M pay corporation are good example of companies the violate the law.
The USPS closes at 5 PM . There is no barely streets lights . The city is dark. You are lay off better leave this city . The people are very rude and with careless for others.
Nothing to do. It gets really cold and high taxes. Charlotte you SUCKS

hate to break it to you but charlotte is growing way too fast if you ask me, im born and raised in this city i love it here it's my home. nice and clean but it's changing by the day there are at least 10 apartment complexes being built now (big ass ones at that) $1200 and up a month for 1 bedrooms that's crazy house payments cost less a month, nevertheless coming from new york it's probably a small city to you> No offense to you, but all of these people crowding into charlotte has me wanting to leave more and more every day, it really sucks but i guess thats the shitty part of a city starting to develop. but hey man hope you like it here just keep in mind that it will only be a matter of time untill charlotte does get jam packed full of people making it into just another crowed city like i said no offense to you it just sucks to know that old famillar things are being torn down and new places being built turning this into a whole new city

On a brighter note all the women in N.C. are (((super easy))) but that's true in the entire south ! But in North Carolina the women give it up like shaking hands, so it has its benefits ! lol In New York women are like breaking into fort knox...lol

Just so people that have never been here, no we do not all have country accents. I was born and raised here and I’m still here. This place is different from anywhere in the south. And of course there’s a reason I’m still here I love it. Theres a very wide variety of people here and you have access to pretty much anything you can think of. The traffic is awful at times. Or at least during rush hours. And just like any city there’s some bad areas but me personally I’ve never had anyone try to break in my house or anything and I’ve lived in different parts of the city. It’s beautiful here, but some downsides are, the summers are extremely hot, the winter is extremely cold, the humidity will make you feel like you have a bag over your head, and the mosquitos during the summer are pretty bad depending on where you are. However, we have beautiful days especially during the fall. Welcome to Charlotte ❤️

I remember when i was working there, i lived on a neighborhood called Washington heights, it was horrible, almost every night there was a shootout somewhere near, i couldn’t even sleep... but also it was a nice experience visiting such a big city

Most boring place ever to live. I'm not speaking for everyone but as a Chicagoan it's hard to live in this quiet place
yea.....Its pretty boring unless you like NBA games, NFL Games, Theme Parks, Auto Racing, Drag Racing, Eating good foods, Jet Sking on Lake Norman or heavy Beer Drinking in hundreds of Bars and resturants.
If you think Charlotte is boring, you haven't seen boring until you live in Raleigh.
Alan Molina yeah tbh the loudest place I've been to in Carolina is Durham
keep in mind Charlotte is 300 square miles, super spread out and low density. Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill make up less than 300 square miles combined and those 3 cities have a combined population of 875,000, which is just about the same size as Charlotte. Raleigh area is denser and has less traffic. much lower crime rate. cool, you got Carowinds and NFL. those don't make it worth it at all.
There are several cities in the united states that have way more so don't make me laugh.
I'm from Philadelphia and i've been living in Charlotte for fifteen years now. There are a lot of things to love and hate about this city. It's a good place to live and this guy did a really good video on it.

judging from the negative comments from people who relocated here. and not the comments from people who were born and raised here. I don't think I'd like it here. I only checked out this video because my mothers husband got offered a job high paying job in Charlotte. hes a doctor. currently we are living in Corpus Christi Texas. they wan't me to relocate with them cause I'm basically their personal assistant. doing everything for them they don't have time to do. (moms an accountant working long hours) and they are offering me a lot of money to go with them. but I am going to turn them down. and instead move back to my home town of San Antonio Texas. which is so close to Austin Texas eventually were going to become a metroplex. you wanna see beauty and have fun. visit anyone of these two cities.

Joe Momma Rock Hill, South Carolina is far enough away from Charlotte to be "safe", but close enough for "convenience." Overall, it's a pretty good city to live in, and people are realizing it.

How often do panhandlers come out in downtown Charlotte? Ive thought about moving to Charlotte NC if my parents decide to retire to the Shenandoah Valley in VA. Since where I live in the Susquehanna Valley in PA it gets kinda boring and the city I grew up in Baltimore has alot of panhandlers downtown as well as alot of crime and sometimes I dont always feel safe in downtown Baltimore. And hopefully if I move to Charlotte I wont enocunter alot of panhandling. I used to get it literally every block in downtown Baltimore which is why I avoid downtown Baltimore lately. Im sure Charlotte has their share but hopefully it only occurs once in a blue moon like Harrisburg PA and not like Baltimore MD and Wilmington Delaware where it occurs regularly.
+MrWill1985 I used to live in Baltimore city, so I know exactly what you are talking about. I live in Charlotte now, and I have yet to see a panhandler in our uptown area. (we call it uptown vs downtown) You may see some street musicians who would like a tip but its optional, and nothing like what happens in Bmore.
Baltimores panhandling is soo bad Ive had it happen in Towson and even outside my job in Lutherville. And I've been a theft victim 5 times in the Baltimore area since 2011. Once in Baltimore city, once in Anne Arundel County. Both the same person and 3 times in Baltimore County my 3 different people.
+dwelesmom So were you originally from Baltimore as well? I know if or when I move to Charlotte Im still supporting the Baltimore Orioles and Ravens as they are my home teams. And hopefully Ravens and Os fans dont get too much ridicule from the Carolina fans.
I just typed this long answer and it disappeared. lolll. Im not from Bmore, Im actually from SC. Living there was my first time experiencing life in a bigger city than Charlotte.. There are things I miss, like the good food (seafood) walk-ability, and non racial overtones and attitudes. I did like the Ravens. I thought it was awesome how people supported the team. They loved Ravens or Redskins.. The panhandling was new to me, and I was truly green to a lot of the things I saw.

Being from Winston-Salem NC about an hour and 15 minutes North of Charlotte And Charlotte is just A wonderful city to visit I guarantee you that you will fall in love with it.
