- 72 Hours in Charlotte, NC | Things to do in Charlotte North Carolina!
In this video, we're going to show you everything we did in Charlotte, NC. We spent 72 hours in the town, and if you clicked this video you might be looking for things to do in Charlotte as well. This video will help! DON'T CLICK THIS: bit.ly/3kMzZDs
Well if you like sports, Charlotte is your town. Whether you visit the NASCAR hall of fame, the Spectrum Center to watch the Charlotte Hornets, or Bank of America Stadium to watch the Carolina Panthers. Charlotte has a sports team for everyone within only a few blocks of each other.
Sports isn't all there is to Charlotte, although we didn't get to experience Carowinds and the U.S. National Whitewater Center because they were closed due to precautions, they are only a short drive to truly experience some outside fun.
If you're interested in what to eat, we also checked out some local food spots and coffee shops. Tupelo Honey was delicious (in case you didn't hear us mention that a million times in the video). Fahrenheit is a rooftop bar that has amazing views of the skyline, and good food as well.

So good guys 💯 editing is so impressive 👍🏼 see you in the next one 😊
Coming from you guys that means a lot! Love the support.
@@TheDetourDuo 😘
I had no idea that Charlotte was such a happening place! That cloudy nighttime view of the skyline is pretty incredible! You guys sure came across some good eats!
It might be one of the coolest skylines I've seen in the states outside of the more well known skylines, and the food was top notch. Can't wait to go back when more things are open.
Your editing is awesome!!!! I love Charlotte! Nice work! ❤️👍🏻
Thank you so much! Charlotte was a ton of fun. We're really excited to go back now that it's warm and more places are open
Love that city. Been there countless times, since my wife went to school at Belmont Abbey. That town is exploding with people moving there!
When we were there people were telling us about how much it's booming. Kinda crazy!
I like how y’all drop the locations !!! I love it !! Fr
Thank you! We want everyone to share in the experience if they're looking for places to go.
Love your video! You have a really cool editing style! Excited to start following you guys along on your travels 🤗 -Tawnie & Wayne
Thanks so much! 😊We just watched a bunch of your videos. -Sara & Tony
I like that you include addresses for the places you go to.
Hi. Thank you. I feel like it's a minor detail but enough people seem to really appreciate it
The time you came to Charlotte was one of the rare times it snows lol. Great video, should definitely check the city out now since the weather is warm, and things are opening up👍🏾
At the time we were thinking "how often does it snow in this part of North Carolina?" We definitely plan on a return trip to explore a lot more!
Wow incredible video! Love all the shots. 😍
Thank you so much!
Great video! I will definitely use all these recommendations on my visit! :) Greetings from Portland
Thank you! Glad this video could help. If you have some spots in Portland worth visiting we'd love to hear about them. Going to hopefully make a west coast trip this year
Great video! I have been to many places in the US however I have yet to see Charlotte. Added it to the list. Thanks!
Charlotte is pretty awesome, and we went at a bad time when things first started opening back up so we couldn't do it justice.
Great content, lovely restaurants! Thank you
Glad you enjoyed it!
Gorgeous city and the food looks very delicious. Another slick video!
Thanks so much! Really fell in love with the skyline there
Nice video! Good to see you all enjoyed that trip. I've never been to Charlotte before mainly because I don't know anyone from there, and because none of the attractions I looked up online stood out to me that much. I definitely love the way the skyline is lit up at night however. Awesome drone footage of the skyline too!
Charlotte doesn't have a ton of attractions that we found on our short time there but they make up for it with great restaurants and bars. It snowed when we we there otherwise we could have shown more
@@TheDetourDuo interesting, and I haven't ruled out going there altogether. I have a cousin who wants to visit that city, and I'd be willing to accompany him there. A flight there from where I'm from is very affordable, and I desperately want to get out of Illinois as much as I can even if it is just for a few days.
@bracebrooks967 I'd say just go for it. Even if you don't enjoy your time it sounds like it will still be better than being at home. Who knows, maybe you'll love it and want to move or it will spark a travel bug in you or something
@@TheDetourDuo I appreciate the reccomendation. I've been regularly traveling different places out of state on my own since 2013. I don't fully enjoy those trips if I'm not meeting up with someone I know while I'm away to be honest however. But overall I never get tired of seeing new or un-recent places out of town since I only do it an average of one time per year.
Haha, you called it when you said Charlotte's a sports city! I, Seth have a lot of memories there from growing up, Charlotte was the 'big' city we'd go to, but most of these places I've gotta put on my list! That food looks SO good!
Food was so good! We can't wait to go back when more things are open
content, video quality and editing is good. Following your works and in IG too!
Thank you! Lot of work goes into edit so super happy it's appreciated!
Thanks for the tour, damn I miss Charlotte. Used to get my coffee from Coco and the Director every single day before heading over to the big building, level 56 baby. Beautiful city, miss it every day.
Thanks for watching. Coco and the director is a great coffee shop. Big fan.
Great video and I've made a list of places to dine after watching this vlog. I want to move to Charlotte, NC!! New subscriber here 😉😊
That's awesome! Thank you. Glad we helped with your planning.
We went to Fahrenheit also and the view is legit! Nice editing on the video!
That place is awesome right! Apparently there are rooftop bars all over the city. Makes sense since the views there are so good. Thank you for the compliment!
Hey guys, hope everything goes well for you! Thanks for that other great video :)
Hey, thanks! Glad you enjoyed it
@@TheDetourDuo You deserve it ! We love to support great content
The food and views look amazing!
We both tell ourselves we have to diet during non travel because there's just too much great food out there to not try it all
Cheers from Ontario, Canada! We are teachers who love to travel. New sub from us - Brian & Steph!
Welcome and thanks for watching! Are you both TEFL certified? Sara is working on her certification now in hopes of teaching once we travel more internationally.
SHOWING LOVE TO NC MUCH APPRECIATED!!! DAMN GOOD VID AND YESSIR CHARLOTTE HAS SOME REALLY GOOD SPOTS TO CHILL TOO!!!!!!
Thank you! Yeah we love Charlotte. Hoping to hit more spots in NC this summer
@@TheDetourDuo YESSIR!!!! IF YOU REALLY WANT GREAT SCENIC VIEWS HIT SOME OF THE COUNTRY AREAS WITHIN NC. YOU WILL LOVE THE VIEWS AND GREAT SOME GREAT SHOTS AS I SEE YOU REALLY PUT YOUR HEART INTO YOUR WORK!!!!
Thanks for that. We've got some Asheville content but we're looking to do more blue ridge and smokey mountains once it warms up a bit (our car can't handle snow covered roads that well)
@@TheDetourDuo YEA THE SNOW UNFORGIVING AT ALL TIMES.
Great sharing beautiful tourist destinations host and yummy foods. New friend here i hope to see you around 👍🙏❤️
Thank you and welcome friend!
So I've only been to Charlotte once, we went to Carowinds and it was unbearably hot. But this video makes me really want to go back! Looks like you guys had a great time!
-Shari
We didn't get a chance to go to Carowinds. It started raining and pretty sure it was shut down at the time due to Covid. We'll probably check it out when we go back, but I really want to go to the whitewater center this summer. I can tell you guys would love it as much as we did. Lots of rooftop bars to see the skyline. Honestly one of the best skylines on the east coast.
@@TheDetourDuo Yeah Carowinds didn't open last year other than for Christmas (same with Kings Dominion near us).
They are opening back up next month, hope you are able to make it!
Didn't know that. Thank you for that piece of information! Definitely adding it to our plans.
Amazing 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Thank you! 🙏🏾
Wooo Tony’s! We had our first and second date there wayyyyy back when 😂
You guys are adorable. Thank you guys for the great recommendations. Even though it snowed, we still had to get ice cream!
Don't forget to leave a LIKE!
We missed out on Carowinds and the National Whitewater museum because they were closed unfortunately. What are some of your favorite places to visit in Charlotte?
Great video,lots of good information.
Thank you!
You welcome, I'm a native Charlottean and don't know about them.
I feel like that about my hometown too. Glad we could give you a few new things to hopefully check out. We actually wanted to see Carowinds too, but everything we found said it was closed.
@@TheDetourDuo ya'll don't feel bad I have in Charlotte my whole not once I ever visited Carowinds.
I'm sure when things open back up ya'll will get the chance.i might ever visited for the first myself.
nice video👍👍👍😊😊😊
Thank you! Cheers!
I wish i saw this last year man. I didnt know where to go and what the heck to do, lol. It was last min get away trip
Well at least next time you have a starting point if you go back. Definitely worth a return trip. What did you end up doing?
@@TheDetourDuo i drove around the city and checked out some local places for food and stuff. I was there for the long weekend, 6 hours drive. I'll definitely come back. I know there is a lot of history there, things to see and do! Keep up the good work. I'll be sure to watch your future videos.
Dear Brothers
72 hours spent and I think you should have shown us more of Charlotte. Your vlog should havy been of at least 30 minutes duration. I have not found playlist of your videos. Hope you would show us more of Charlotte soon.
Thank you very much your nice video.
Thank you for the comment. We have no interest in making a 30min vlog. We want the majority of our viewers to enjoy our content in short form. There are great short films that highlight Charlotte to a greater extent, but this video just shows our experience.
greeat video
Thank you so much!
Wow, so beautiful 🥰😍🤩👍
Yeah we love Charlotte!
I live there and im like 😍😍
Honestly feel like we couldn't even do it justice because of the weather and things being shut down. Excited to see the city again
i want to start traveling again ! i love tupelo honey! i have one near me
It's so good! Just realized the other day they were a chain. They have one near us as well.
Would you say charlotte is like atlanta in the 1990
Not sure. We've only been to Atlanta a few times, and it definitely wasn't during the 90s. What was it like?
I would say so. But Charlotte is growing very rapidly. I think a lot faster than ATL was in 1990
@@eaglei0n how the metro population it just seam like the city of charlotte is growing but not the metro population
@@jerrydavis3548 actually a publication came out last summer saying the metro is growing faster than the city
@@eaglei0n idk they only have a metro of 2 mill
Please tell me y’all learned how to pronounce Tupelo 🤣
Still can't say it right, and we found out we have one here in Virginia beach 🤣
