      Now, all they need is one that starts sound recording immediately or within a couple of seconds at least, and we won't have to wait 30 seconds to a minute just to hear the start of everything.

    • @LHyoutube
      @LHyoutube Рік тому

      @@dreadnoughtus2598- Are you familiar with how the buffering system on them works, and why? Most police bodycams do generally have enough battery and storage capacity to record both audio and video constantly for the duration of the entire shift. The reason police bodycams don't record constantly is not a technology limitation. It's for practical reasons, because it would produce too much footage for police departments to need to store for the legally required periods of time. So instead, police have policies which permit (and/or require) them to choose to activate their bodycams and start recording when something noteworthy happens.
      Now of course the obvious problem with that is that things in policing often happen quickly and there isn't time to react before important parts have already occurred. So police bodycams have a configurable pre-record buffer period, usually 30 seconds and usually without audio, where the camera records video but then continually discards it if the record button is not pressed. So a police bodycam which is constantly doing that pre-record buffering throughout a shift does not generate a heap of footage that needs to be stored. In that mode, it generates zero long-term footage. But if something noteworthy happens, it means the officer can press the record button and not only have the time from that point onwards fully recorded with audio and video, but also has the previous 30 seconds of video appended to the start of the recording. So police at least have 30 seconds of vision-only footage showing the crucial moments leading up to something noteworthy happening, as well as the full audio-visual footage from the moment once record is pressed.
      Does that explain it?

      Scream your head off, accuse every officer of sexually abusing you, scream your rights have been violated, threaten to call your lawyer (i’m sure she has one at the ready).
      Scream police brutality, he’s violated my civil rights!.
      I want to call “my mama”!!
      Oh,…..almost forgot.
      Don’t touch me….i didn’t give you permission to touch me!

    Hold up. That police officer definitely shares some of the blame. Its his duty to de-escalate the situation. He was extremely condescending while going back and forth with her as if this was some battle of wits. She was trying to leave and he refused to give her back her I.D. and forced her to listen to some B.S. city ordinances. She had no obligation to do so. None of us do. Then he told her she couldnt explain to the passing citizen what was going on. Since when did that become a law? Towards the end, she acted out because she was pissed off. But this cop has a serious superiority complex and needs some more de-escalation training. This situation was absolutely unavoidable and both are at fault.
