"Just a real basic Acog." Only a $1,000 optic. No big deal. 😉
To people who probably see tens of thousands of dollars daily? Yeah, no big deal ... heh
3nertia you really think they make 10,000 a day tho
yea but you never have to put batteries in it rite???
Don't think they make 10k a day, maybe 1-3k yes
🇫🇷🤣🇫🇷🤣🇫🇷🤣🇫🇷🤣🇫🇷🤣🇫🇷🤣🇫🇷🤣🇫🇷
(Yes, i'm French and a shooter too)...
The 10/22 was my first gun purchase ever. Years later I still have it and love it. It's accurate, extremely customizable, fun to shoot, and ammo is cheap and readily available. I'd recommend one to anybody
That ACOG cost more than several 10/22’s !!!
LOL yup, I've spent 5x as much on aftermarket upgrades, parts, modifications through the years as I did on the 10/22 itself. Don't regret any of it. It's like playing with Legos and building things the way you want. It's one of the easiest and most customizable platforms out there. I shoot it more than any other gun/rifle I own, probably because I live in Commiefornia and they aren't as nazi about rimfire as they are about centerfire...
@@romel420 God damn those commie- nazi-anarchist-liberals!
I love the fact that when this gun came out, every gun “expect” called it stupid. Same as the mossberg shockwave. Now there’s tons of videos calling them “must own” guns. Why I owned both since day one.
The 10/22 is boss! I've had mine since I was 16 years old. I'm 55 now and it still runs like a champ.
Nearly 40 years long term stability.
The barral was cold hammered by outside to create polygone?
How much cci's gone throug this 10/22?
Just Beautiful, amazing especially for a 10/22.
Absolutely love your piece!!!
Bought my 10/22 Roger because you have recommended!
Love it! And now I’m jealous that you have a such an upgrade!
My dad bought my ruger 10/22 when I turned 1 year old, I'm 25 now and I still have it, love this gun.
“Honey, I’m getting the baby a gun. Is he old enough?!?! Of course he is! He’s almost 400 days old! I should have bought myself this…err…bought *him* this gun a long time ago.”
My favorite 10/22 would be the Lipsey's exclusive 22" barrel version. There's just something so sweet about the way it looks and (seems to) balance!
“This is a pistol”, chuckles in ATF.
ATF are commies. We will shut them down to when the civil war starts. Erase those tyrants from our country too!
As long as the receiver is stamped charger that's exactly what it is. You might have some 'splaining to do if it's not stamped charger though. Lol

I love watching you guys doing 10/22 videos. No matter what your age is, a 10/22 makes you feel like a kid.!
Love to see someone feel that much joy at the range! Love your vids!!!
I have build 90% same setup in 2017 ;)
That was the vision I have which made me purchase Charger. However I didn't know the trick with holding the bolt with thumb which brings super quietness of bolt action suppressed rifle to 10/22. Great !
I’m definitely going to buy a 10/22 for my personal collection when I’m older. They seem like great little guns to just plink targets with.
You won't be sorry. They are amazing little rifles, very great first rifle
@@Doja421 especially the older models
i love how he immediately starts shooting the gun instead of some speech
Ruger needs to bring back the deerstalker. 44mag carbine, and make a charger pistol out of it.
I would buy that immediately.
@Zach cash Uh, No. It has a tubular feed mag. I have two of them. The later 96/44 (lever) may have had box.
@Zach cash Ruger already made thousands of them, so feeding is not a problem, you just have to be careful how you load your rounds.
paul moss This was like a 10/22 on steroids. It looked identical but a bigger brother. And it took a similar but larger rotary magazine. Like their 22 magnum mags but bigger.
@@bradleyweiss1089 Ok, thanks. I am only familiar with the old ones I reckon.
"now to hold the action shut on the suppressed .50bmg" lol
OMG!!! I just watched a video this morning on another channel about the ruger charger and looked online about it, thinking about getting one. And now you upload this video!!! Freaking crazy!!!
Thanks Eric!
You can never go wrong with a 10/22
as I live in a disarmed country, all I can get my hands on are knifes, please continue this trend of showing knife of the day, I love it!! :)
Which?
Love it! I got a Charger Takedown Lite model, and absolutely thrilled with it. I even got a few parts to change out to make it more of a little monster!
I'm watching that consistent feeding and ejection pattern, always a good sign of quality machining and design. Cool Zombie rifle! ;-j
I think KIDD may make a 5 inch threaded barrel. So no need to chop and thread the oem barrel. But these are AWESOME little hunting pistols! It took 20 years and a brace adapter (thanks Copper Custom!) to finally bring this gun to its prime!
These guns still need iron sights!
I have that pistol in the take down version, threaded barrel. Very concealable, I have a KAK Shockwave Blade on it. I love mine!!
I'm almost 27. my dad got me my first rifle. the ruger 10/22 when I was 8 almost 9. Christmas time way back when. started something in me as my collection has grown and grown and it is still in my collection. still shoot it. still reliable. still loving it haha.
I always feel a little guilty watching 10/22 videos. It's like I'm cheating on my old Marlin 60 :)
You bastard! Marlins have feelings
I’m a marlin 30 kind of guy, was my great grandfathers.
I have both. The 60 is old reliable. The charger takedown is all fun
@@FreakinPeanuts 👍 The Marlin Mod. 60 has always been a dependable rifle. They also made a rifle, sans Mod. 60 on it. I forget who sold them but my father has one. It looks identical to the Mod. 60.

That reminds me of a MP-5 in size. It would nice to compare the .22LR MP-5 and this model of the 10/22.
Thanks for sharing this video with us Eric. I have a 10/22 that I bought back in the mid 1960's. Yeah, it's the standard wood and steel offering of that time but, I love it. If I do my part, it'll keep running all day long.
I bought my daughter and daughter-in-law from Walmart back in early 1980. Sad, Walmart doesn't sell firearms here in commiefornia anymore. I walked into our local store with the with the other day and there was not a single box of ammo. I understand that the ammo has to be stored in an obscured area under the control of very few people. Again, sad.
Thanks again Eric. Stay safe my man.

You bought kids from Wal-Mart? I always suspected...
@@dingo5208 UH OH!!!! I was in a rush and omitted, "a Ruger 10/22" rifle. Hey, I've got a legitimate excuse, I'm a 75 years old old fart 😩🤪.
Thanks for catching and letting me know my mistake but, I'll guarantee, that wasn't the last one for today.
Moved to Oregon four years ago and I love it you can get almost anything that you want not like commiefornia Ak47 or ar15 thirty round magazine’s suppressors and all the ammunition you can put in your shopping cart and the only thing that they will ask you is oh doing a little plinking today huh yes I am have a nice Day and come again to buy mart lol and right next door to the gun shop and pawn shops full of super cool stuff and cheap awesome stuff too saw a Thompson sub machine gun for sale and it was only $1.500 with the Drum magazine and right next door to that pawn shop was a pot dispensary and they sold everything you could think of I got myself a bag of some Maui wowie for fifty bucks sorry im just bragging about my home state compared with commiefornia lol
@@jamescreek1319 Hey man, brag all you want to. I do the same thing up here in Idaho.
Between my wife and I, we have close to 50 relatives living in Oregon. Grants Pass, Salem, Merlin, Cave Junction etc, etc.
Over here in Idaho, I frequent Blacksheep Sporting Goods. From the get go, I've bought "standard" capacity magazines (30 rounds) from them, NO questions asked.
Yes Sir, I'm enjoying my Freedoms and bragging about it too.
Just ordered a RUGER 10/22 Charger Takedown 10in model, they finally came in-stock, I have plans on fully upgrading it with all sorts of fun accessories. Maybe you guys should make a new video with the Takedown version. Love your channel, have a blessed day.
The ATF has entered chat: We are coming for your pistol braces.
The ATF should make their headquarters in the worst part of Chicago then they could make a real contribution to America.
I just got the Model 4923 with the 10" barrel for $299.00 (MSRP $309.99) Th1913 adapter is $48-$58 and SB brace is $199.00.
I love how he gets soo excited every time he shoots a gun still
Literally took my son shooting yesterday with his charger. We cant wait to get a can for it.
Good stuff. Best dad ever .
Not being sarcastic either
Literally
@Henrick White All suppressors require a tax stamp.
Well, if you can’t wait, have fun waiting 9 months for the ATF to remember you exist
Just bought one today, getting it shipped from Colorado to Vegas and can't wait to take it to the range!!!
I love the Ruger 10/22. I wish I had a "Lightning" in 22 mag.
If you are going to cut the barrel down, 4 1/2 inch is perfect to keep bulk ammo subsonic. I have one in SS and threaded for 1/2×28 from a company called Pike Arms, that was delivered for less than $125. They also have a 5.5 inch available.
I agree that this gun has gone virtually unnoticed. I think it is the a perfect backpack, truck, survival gun that is so easy to have on you anytime. Anywhere. I am curious how much the range is diminished and the accuracy compromised when going to the 8” barrel vs. a 10” Charger or a 16” 10/22. I would like to see you compare and contrast these in a future video. Thank you!
Barrel length has nothing to do with accuracy just velocity it depends on how well the barrel is made
tyler1768 absolutely incorrect. Thanks, though.
thanks alright Iraq for bringing us all these new toys that one did slide under the radar cuz I'm a Ruger fan
I'm a Ruger fanboy, love my Rugers!
I've always wanted a 10/22. That one is awesome.
If you get one, make sure to get a Volquartsen Extractor. The price point for 10/22s means the machining tolerances can be rough and the stock extractor is usually the culprit for jams etc. When I first bought mine it wouldnt go through a 10 rd mag without jamming but now it will eat just about anything.
Can't get it in CT, iT's aN aSSauLt PiSToL (evil)
@@xscorpx that sux. Fighting our shit here in VA. Stocking up while I can.
@@chrisdriver8453 I hear ya man, VA is super important to the fight against anti 2a laws. Don't let them turn it into Commiefornia or Connectican't . We can't get anything except single stack pistols under 10 rounds and lever/boltaction rifles. No tactical shotguns, no pistols with mags outside of the grip, no ar/ak variants except 22lr rimfire ar's, and you have to have a license just to buy ammo even if you have pre-ban grandfathered firearms that don't leave your house. Its ridiculous. [Edit] That means we can't order ammo online, and we have a severe shortage in-state. Its literally a denial of 2nd amendment rights.
@@xscorpx wow. I didn't know it was that crazy. It's always been a normal thing here to be able to own and shoot just about whatever you want. I grew up as a youngin shooting ak's and at style guns. I just got a Glock gen 5 last week with 3 15 Rd mags.
This crap has to chang fast. God bless America 🙏.
It's so quiet it sounds like you're throwing rocks. Very cool .22.
“You guys hear that?”
*Shoots surpressed .22*
Honestly not really!
Copse Hill Gem tech 22 suppressor ammo works the action in all my Rugers 10/22, 22/45, Mark ll, lll, lV and SR pistol and remains quiet with a MIST or Sparrow.
When the SHTF, not IF, the .22 is the "must have" rifle for survival, especially the Ruger known for it's reliability/versatility. This is a very nice version of it there, would be very easy to pack around. Great video!
My daughter's first gun a got her was a Ruger 10/22. She loves to shoot it. Very reliable and accurate.
I like that they have come out with a pistol version. It looks great and seems to perform very well.
I never understand a suppressed 22, until I see someone having fun with one. Wish I had a suppressor.
@Zach cash the atf won't be happy about that.
I hate bs gun laws
1st thank you for your Service. I enjoy all your videos, I started watching several years ago. I came back at least 1 a week
A 10/22 will be a winner when they come with bolt open on last shot.
I built my 10/22 Takedown somewhat similar. Bought the Tactical solutions SBX barrel, Magpul backpacker stock, UTG Bugblaster scope, Brownells receiver, kidd bolt/handle, Ruger BX trigger and bx mags. Everything costed about $800 and its a badass looking rifle.
My birthday is coming up and I’ll be turning 18 which means I will be able to purchase my first firearm (only rifles and shotguns no pistols or “assault rifles”) that I can purchased on my own, I was just wondering if you could do a top 5 guns for an 18 year old to buy, thank you and keep up the awesome content!
Eric did a few top 5 a few years ago when he worked with Barry (RIP) back at Moss Pawn. Look through his catalogue for those old videos. Still, Eric doing a new updated top 5 is a good idea too.
1. Savage XP .30-06- If you want a good budget hunting rifle, Savage is the best name right now.
2. Ruger 10/22- Just know you will need to throw in some aftermarket parts but thats part of the fun of a 10/22
3. Mossberg 500- Basic bread and butter 12 gauge and the best in the price point right now.
4. Used Remingon 870 Wingmaster- Anything new from Remington is junk but their old Wingmasters are beautiful and are usually around $300. Aftermarket support is limited but man they swing nice and look pretty.
5. Smith and Wesson M&P 15- Probably the best budget AR-15 right now.
I think depending on your local laws the way it reads is a store cant sell you a pistol but you can buy one privately you should have a look
I'm just happy to see another new gun owner. Whatever you get, I hope you enjoy it and respect the safety rules for gun owners. My opinion is to check out pistol caliber carbines because if you only have one gun, they cover a lot of bases and are really fun to shoot.
@@tsuobachi Also remember, guns are cheap in good times and gone in bad times. Never wait until there is unrest or pandemics etc to suddenly think you need a gun.
2 things I love: guns, knives 🤙🏽 I’d love to see more vids like this
Great video mate. Man I love my Ruger Charger. One of the best upgrades I swear by is a 10” Bull barrel by Kidd Innovations in Texas. It groups at under 10mm at 90 yards. Mos def one of the best pistols I have ever owned.
Bought my first gun, a 10/22, 21 years ago. To this day I still love it and love the feeling of getting upgraded. If you're thinking or on the fence about one, just buy it
I have the takedown version with an 11” barrel i put it on an AGP Chassis in DFE. It allows the barrel to be attached to the chassis when it unattached. Talk about a backpack package! Of course the any 10/22 can be customized to almost any way you want. Triggers, Spring Kits, Charging Handles, etc. Like. You I have a Suppressor as well. Fun factor is over the top!!!!!!
hows the accuracy on the takedown models. internet people say its much less accurate but those are.... internet people
It’s beautiful 😍!!!
And it shoots quietly like and air rifle..
I SBR'd a 22 Charger, one of the old 10" barrels and I put a Copper Custom adapter and a an AR collapsible stock. I run a CGS can on it.
I finally after years bought a 10/22. This one is nice too! I want mine suppressed too eventually.
Yes!!!! If you do cut the barrel back could you please make a follow up video?
As a dealer I've had those on backorder for two years. That exact model as I think it's the best one of the bunch also.
I want a 10/22 charger so bad! Unfortunately the charger models are banned in my state. I will say that every gun owner should have at least one 10/22!
Ouch that sucks. California, New York, or Chicago?
Yeah I don't think a lot of people know that Bill Ruger was not for the whole meaning of the 2A. My grandfather had a conversation with him on the phone about firearms and handloading for like an hour and a half back in the 70's on the phone. He was still a really nice dude, he just didn't think the common folk needed more than 10 round mags or "black rifles".
Love having knives thrown in to each review. Keep it up!
I am going to build one of these from a stripped receiver. Should I have a factory barrel cut down, or just buy a 4.5" barrel?
Awwwwww.... im tellllinggggg!!!! Eric called it a rifle at 5:25 my little heart jus couldn't take it.... lol😂 great vid guys love the channel keep em comin!
Love your video’s 💯🙌👊🏼👍😎
Just wait until franklin armory drops the binary trigger for this thing!
William Richards I'm pretty sure they have. The 22-C1. Unfortunately, they can sell them faster than they can make them.
They have..it is out of stock though
What a neat 10-22! Love it!
Ah I remember my dad complaining about his suppressed 10/22 not running well with the Aguila subsonic ammo. I guess I know why now.
Man just discovering this channel. What a great find!
This guy is enjoying his freedom. So much fun.
Put a scope on a martini-Henry
Some people get heart attack
@Frankthetank123098 I always loved that look. Like the old sharps competition rifles with a tube 3/4 as long as the gun.
No different than putting a modern V8 into a 1960's resto-mod. Kinda the same thing.
@crazy silly Yeah. New modern stuff put into old classic things. Get it?
Don’t 🥺
If you consider this gun as configured a good survival weapon it would be really helpful to see what kind of groups it shoots at 25 and 50 yards.
I love the 10/22, but I will never understand why the mags are so bulky. A redesign could probably bring about a double/quad stack mag like we see in the new Keltech and Taurus pistols.
Eric. since you don't like the trigger anyway, you should replace it with a franklin armory binary trigger.... that would really be the cherry on top for this rig
I LOVE my ruger 10/22 Charger!
Those aftermarket chassis are a great upgrade too!
Sweet! You could play 'Plinking Music' with this sweet baby!😅
How do you get the 15 or 25 Bx magazines to run ?.
Biggest piece of terrible quality for me with Ruger has been the terrible performance of the BX.
Great video thank you.
An old prepper I knew always said that a person should have two or more 10/22 s and if the shtf you could get better full auto stuff with several people who have 10/22s they go a mile and throw out a lot of rounds and they are more than capable of procuring you bigger and better weapons in a shtf situation and they are cheap and easy to get and you can carry a lot of ammunition with you and they are legal etc etc
Sadly, the adapter places the stock too high and therefor requires a higher mounted optic which hurts the low profile. There's alternative which get your eye low enough for a low-pro option though. But yeah, great little tack driver with a few choice mods.
I'd want a 10" barrel model, vortex viper on top, binary trigger in it, a couple 110rd drum mags to stick in the bottom and a sling. Ultimately they need to make a 22wmr version!!!!
I set up a similar 10/22 except with an FS1913 brace on a Copper Custom adapter, the Charger is a takedown, Vortex Venom for the optic, and Spectre II when suppressed.
I've never seen an ACOG on a 10/22. And a can too. Wow! Nice.
Correction Eric... the 10/22 I always wanted was the one I bought.... the same charger in takedown configuration. Otherwise, mine is the same as the one in the video minus the ACOG. I have a Vortex on mine.
Maybe someday when I move to a Free state. Very nice.
hi guys! great videos you're making! just wanted to ask, what camera are you using for the slow motion recordings? thx in advance!
I love the 10/22 !! One of my favorite firearms. I need to pick up a charger
Yes, you do.
I dig the knife of the day, keep it short at the end 👍👍
That would make a hell of a bugout bug gun. Compact, quiet, fast follow up shots.
Love the knife of the day format!
Ha! Looks like my Pietta pps50 wildcat. The Acog is not actually a terrible idea, the heavy barrel means it will be perfect for longer ranges
Awesome but the double trigger would be perfect! It has safety semi auto and double semi auto(back and forth)
Ruger 10/22 vs. M&P 15-22 video perhaps? I own and love both, however tend to favor the 15-22....not sure why really..maybe because its very similar to my AR as far as manual of arms goes.
The triangle brace looks great on that
"This is not an SBR. This is a PISTOL. With folding BRACE."
😂
said he, while shouldering the brace and shooting the thing as a really compact rifle.
Now you just need the franklin armory binary trigger on there
I'm still waiting for these guys (or MAC or sootch) to run a Scorpion with a binary trigger...
