There's some tough competition for Best Performer, but Neil deserves it, imo. He managed to portray so much more than "hotness"; there's sass, anger, loyalty, and vulnerability all wrapped in one rogue elf that he managed to convey that I don't think I can do justice by putting a summary of his performance- not only by voice, but through body language and gestures too. He's a theater kid. He even quotes a line Astarion says on a Durge playthrough, "You're not alone in this; none of us are.".

Honestly when Sega announced all of those games and I saw the "More", my first hope was, "PLEASE bring back Skies of Arcadia!" It definitely deserves a Remaster or to be remade at least lol.

The finals didn’t deserve that slander. The game is free and it was well received since the beta. I think it was an overreaction.
Ah, it's hard to be biased because of people you work with and have been friends with for long but, yeah, Neil Newbon talked about his mocap process for Astarion and extra NPCs and about recording lines through the years. I keep hearing new lines and with every patch. So, while I also love Yuri, have been a fan of his for several years... yeah, the BG3 cast is made of insane professionals, too, and Neil really stood out particularly. (I do feel Yuri should get an award for masking! ❤️)

How people are reacting to Kojima and Jordan Peele is how I reacted initially when I first heard about Level 5 and Studio Ghibli teaming up to make Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch lol. I was like, "I WANT IT NOW!" It was the biggest reason I got a PS3 (and yes I got it on PS4 lol).

1) Yes, absolutely play Alan Wake 2. But if you hadn't, play Alan Wake 1 and American Nightmare, and if you want to play something in the same universe as Alan Wake, you have Control and Quantum Break.

Ahhh... there are so many good games. I think a lot of them deserve the award even though I'm usually not even into award shows.
Could you imagine if both Wolverine and Blade being released the same year and both turn out to be great superhero games? The feud could be tremendous at the next game awards.
What was with the slander for The Finals game?
I’m so glad I didn’t wait till tomorrow to watch this! Had a rough day at work, so I definitely needed some mood uplifting. Also, I agree with Persona 3 Reload over that Forest game, and the only thing I was spoiled on was Neil Newbon winning for Best Performance. I just recently became a fan of his because of Astarion, since I only briefly knew him as Heisenberg from RE Village. As much as I am a bigger fan of Yuri’s, Neil’s was indeed a well deserved win, imo.
Thank God for the tightened security. Best Game Awards since 2020, imo.
