FX3 does have 1/48 it was in the latest firmware came out 2 months ago.

If you don't need 4k high fps, the sigma fp really has nothing to complain about except the fixed screen.
And oddly, the fp is also comfortable as a still picture camera and has some extremely unique advantages. But the electronic shutter will limit the high shutter speed under flash and strobe light sources.
So, Sigma when will you building the inter-lens shutter lens or an adapter ring with a built-in shutter!!!!
Fujifilm because of the color science and their Jpegs.
Fuji since 2016 color and ease of results (tonality and sharpness).
I really love my X-H2S! It’s the Fujifilm camera that feels like a cinema camera more than a stills camera - the dynamic range and color texture are that good!

This should be in every news attached. (Not working ProRes Raw output, dead pixel not fixable, Ninja V+ not workout correctly, not fixable Compression in chroma channels etc, etc, etc)

Can the XS-20 compare in terms of video capabilities, dynamic range etc?
I shoot on a XH2S. I tried my mate's FX3 and loved it too! I still prefer my XH2S as it can be a very competent stills camera, but you can't go wrong with either system. The upside to Sony is definitely lens selection, but I just enjoy using Fuji cameras more.
Yeah I wish X mount had a bit more going for it, but it seems that they are really growing with sigma and tamron putting stuff out.
Agree. Both systems are great and just depends on what ticks the most boxes for you!
I worked with Sony for 5 years but in the past 2-3 I found that Fuji offers me an overall more pleasing image that suits me. When describing what "image quality" means I think it can be subjective because even when looking at objective stats on cameras, sometimes its indescribable how an image impacts you. For example, we can look at just about any full frame Sony camera and say technically it is better on just about every level than a Blackmagic. However, I still prefer the image of the Blackmagic and cant fully articulate why.

I also shot already on Canon, Blackmagic and Sony - but I´m very happy with the Xh2S atm. Shot my first wedding with the XH2s last week. Very excited about the result, so far the material looks really nice!

CineD has said the xh2s has 9 stops of latitude and has compared it to bring nearly as good as the Venice 2. Dynamic Range wise others have put the xh2s just ahead of the fx-3. And right the price difference is major

I have 2 x XH2s for event filmmaking. I do a lot of party's & nightlife, because of that I always wonder if a FX3 is not better for me (low light conditions). If I only did weddings I should stay with the fuji. But because of the nightlife I think there will be a time where I might jump to FF. I dont want to go over 2000/2500 iso on the fuji.

I shared some thoughts in a previous comment. Not everyone will agree but it’s been my experience:
The fx3 active ibis was perfect for how I want ibis to work. It removes microjitters without introducing robotic movements. It looks a bit like a weighed out handheld rig. I have only seen people complain about walking with it which is a misuse of ibis in most cases anyways.
Different needs for different people and while the Fuji ibis is fine, I’d much rather it not stick as much and have a more natural motion. The lowest ibis setting is too strong for my taste in the Fuji
Hi there! Can anyone help me out? 90% of the reviews say that 120fps and especially 240fps, are worse than that of an xt4. Most of the videos also show quite heavy noise. What's up with that? Is this true regardless of the video settings?
XH2S is sick. Moved from Canon for it and haven’t looked back. Also a plus for me not to use the camera everyone talks about

That was one of my concerns, but I use the Fx3 as a photo/video camera combined with the A7IV. You almost can’t tell the difference between the photos. Of course the A7iv has more detail if you like crazy zoom in, but not like you expect it. I mix the gallery with both cameras’s pictures and my clients have never noticed any difference. So it’s a really good photo camera. Megapixels are an illusion.
And we watch these videos from a corner of the world where buying FX3 or even XH2S is a dream..

It's an unpopular opinon about Sony IBIS, but I 100% agree. All I need from IBIS is to remove microjitter that a light gear produces and not create a "gimbal" experience. It is one of the reasons I sold my Lumix S5II, the corner wobble because of strong stabilization is just unusable for me (even noticible on 28mm). Currently can't decide between XH2S and FX3 but I hope renting them will help with a decision. Great video:)

Your content is extremely good, but man, I just couldn’t stop thinking about how gorgeous the footage from the XH2S looked all along regardless of how great the FX3 was. All of that for 1000$ less.
Great comparison, and nice to see your reactions to an unknown camera for you. At 6:24 you say that one big difference is sharpness, but that this is fixable in post. I wonder how you would match the FX3 to the sharpness in XH2s? I am looking into buying the FX30 or the XH2s, but I would very much like the sharpness of the XH2s. How would you match up the sharpness?

I was Sony alpha shooter for 15 years (started old a mount), now shoot only Fuji. I love Sony but, Fuji is more enjoyable and want to shoot with. I use my cameras every day now. With Sony, only used when need to work.
What about auto focus & overheating cause I really wanted to buy my first camera it can be sony fx30 or fujixh2, till now I have rented gear and doing my cinematography stuff but now I wanted to have my own gear so what say? Which one is better ?
overheating has yet to be an issue for me. out of the 2, I prefer the xh2s. If you could stretch it to the FX3 budget that would be a hard choice in your situation. Rent both for your next project and see what you prefer
I wish I still had my XH2s… looking to sell my Lumix S5 IIX and go back to fujifilm. While I love the video first features of the Lumix, I just don’t enjoy it as much for photos which is what I do more of recreationally.
what excites you about Lumix (as video first)? I'm really torn between these two options...

We were using a canon FD 50mm 1.4 on the Sony and a canon 28mm 2.8 on the Fuji

I wanna switch ecosystems to fuji entirely... I have an FX30 with a couple of lenses but I have an X-E4 that I absolutely adore. The colors and the user experience is soo good. It's a beast for video too for what it is. I wanna get rid of the FX30 and get the XH2S. I love the character of fuji camera's man. Can't help but disagree with the IBIS part, I own and use the FX30 and the XH2S on a daily basis. The FX30s IBIS is not usable man. At least in my type of work which is 24fps handheld and 60fps handheld for smooth product shots. And I know the IBIS on the FX30 is newer and "better" than the one on the FX3. Various UA-camrs seem to have opposite opinion on IBISs usability. Nice video mate :)

When price is brought into the equation I think the X-H2S faults can be fairly forgiven. Absolutely if you need waveforms and all of that the FX3 is a better camera. But the sensor, for the price, on the H2S is incredibly good. Competing with FF cameras at least twice the price in both DR and latitude. It’s kinda insane Fuji did it. Really looking forward to what Fuji does with future cameras in this line!
And what will happen if we compare xh2s with sony ZV-E1. Not for comercial use. The same sensor, abilities, but only 1 card and plastic box...
FX3. It has controls actually made for video. I’m not too keen on hybrid cameras and much rather have one for each thing rather than one that tries both half arsed. The tally lights on the FX3 are a life saver. I don’t know how many interviews have been saved by them. No tally lights mean forgetting to record. Proper XLR ports are a must for proper lav mics (the Bluetooth stuff isn’t reliable enough) and good shotguns. XLR is a must for plugging straight into court room audio or mixer tables.
To me these two cameras aren’t really comparable.the xh2s is a hybrid camera and the fx3 is a video camera. The A7s3 or A7iv would be the proper comparison.
Most UA-camrs focus on specs and image quality but I hear very very little talk about actual usability and ergos which is where the FX3 shines.
When we talk about usability, Sony's camera are the best by far (I own a FX3 + FX6 ) but to be honest not really inspiring to shoot (for my part). I miss my Blackmagic Pocket 6k pro, it really inspired me to shoot compare to the Sony's (even if I hated the body design).
Fuji XH2s has plenty of configurable buttons to put filmmaking controls to. You can configure all you need without going to the menu.
I shoot XH2, XH2s, and XT4 for stills. For video I use the RED Komodo mostly, but do have a rig for the XH2s and XT4. I haven't been using either much to be honest. I came across your video due to FOMO with the 12,800 iso. That said, I HATE Sony's menu's and color science. I think I am going to give you XH2s another shot.
I think your buddy's FX3 needs to be updated because I'm pretty sure there is 1/48 in video now but I could be wrong. Cool video and great to see lovely footage of one of the best cities in the U.S. I'd love to see open gate in Sony's cameras as well.

Funny that all these newer cameras are being killed by the Sigma FP in
Image quality because of the coloursience & 12 bit RAW, unfortunately not in the feature.
but Full HD 100fps in cinedng 12bit & 120fps in 10bit RAW. Xh2s is a great camera but you cant touch cinema-dng 12bit raw in picture quality. if the Sigma had such a functional range, ibis etc.. all other manufacturers could pack up.....always compare this with meat

Guessing you’re a lumix fanboy? No other mirrorless system has shutter angle on their non cinema line. I can just not touch the shutter and switch between 7 custom settings that have the correct shutter angle for the framerate. 🤷♂️
Those being professional cameras don't need to be user friendly, it takes some sort of skill to use them properly

I disagree with the colours. I know if you're a professional color grader any camera will be fine. But Sonys always have a milky sony look to them. Fuji just looks gorgeous every time with pretty much no effort.

Considering that Fuji outsells ALL other brands in both DX and medium format ...
Well, I'd say that Fuji offers more for your money, and offers the most desirable features at the best price overall. Sony doesn't even make their own lenses, so you'd occasionally be dealing with a different company when warranty issues come up. Sony does it all - they just don't do it all very economically, or even anywhere near the best quality. The only reason why you don't want a Fuji is if you absolutely don't want a mirrorless camera.
