No UA-camr has done a real cinematic comparison. The one I saw doesn't really show nice grades. Would be also nice if you use the same lens for both cameras
@@shridexdigi1982 I’d love to do a comparison but don’t have access to a c70. Maybe some day I’ll get my hands on one. I think if you consider price and portability, the Fuji punches way above it’s weight class when you compare it to the c70
Coming from a SONY FX3 and SONY’s Touch Tracking feature, I think that’s insanely underrated. The ability to touch ur screen and the camera locks onto whatever you touch is incredible. Sometimes I’m filming broll of a sign on a building, objects that aren’t people or animals. I miss that A LOT in my Fujifilm :/
There’s actually an ‘ibis boost’. When it is ON, it tries to make the shot as still as possible and results in jumpy pans and tilts as you describe, but that’s because the boost is for static shots only. With it OFF it behaves exactly as you describe with the FX3. I mapped this on/off to a function button on the camera, so if I want I tripod-like static shot or I want to pan I just press this button to toggle that switch before or even during recording.

@@Robert.hodgson True! I'd also prefer to do in post though since you can turn it on or off. (there are a few ways to do that I think, selecting a part of the highlights and upper midtones to blur and overlay for example, not 100% sure if it's the same exact look though).
I'm not sure if you're using an anamorphic lens, but I believe the 6.2k open gate is ideal for anamorphic lenses. Therefore, I hope to add deformation correction. Additionally, the sensor is capable enough to support 6.2k 60fps, which means using an anamorphic lens in open gate would also result in slow motion.
Amazing video. Thank you! I guess the only thing we think differently is the red square around the screen. With an external monitor it would be ok, but with the camera's lcd only it will make it harder to focus, etc.
Great review, I love this camera. I got sent some cinema lenses to try out and finally get to use them this weekend. I’m actually starting to shoot ProRes Raw by default now. The image quality is insane if if you’re exposing the ProRes Raw correctly. I wish Fuji would come out with a cinema camera. I would love internal NDs as well. The Fuji x100v has an internal ND
Agreed with all that! I still need to do a ProRes Raw and BRAW test. Have both recorders. Just don’t have the time haha. What cinema lenses were sent to you? Looking forward to the video!
The major issue I see in fuji cameras is poor quality control. A few days ago I was about to mount my camera on a tilta cage just to find out that every screw from the bottom of the camera was loose. I also had to return a H2s and two 18-55 cause of faulty dials and finger prints all over internal elements. I lost trust on the brand.
I like what Sony has done where they allowed the usb port to feed timecode. I don’t see why Fuji couldn’t do this through firmware. From what I understand, most of these hybrid cameras don’t have an accurate clock so simply jamming won’t solve the problem unfortunately
1:44 I feel the same way about using 16:9 after this. My only gripe with this, is a bit of a snobbish complaint, that it's not 6.2k 60p at the top end.🙈 For any project that doesn't need 60p but still needs social media + UA-cam as the final product, 6.2k 24p all day for me.
@@jmwvideographyi assume the processer is too solw. If you calculate the amount of Pixels/second it has to process it's very similar to 4k 120fps. I assume that's just the limit.

Agree with most of what you said. But the IBIS part I strongly disagree. Sony's IBIS is useless. Useless. I own the fx30 and the xh2s. I consistently shoot and create videos handheld in 24 and 60fps with the xh2s, longer sequences, and it's 95% good enough. Things that I cannot do with any Sony camera owned/used. I’m speaking from experience with the Sony FX3. Did you not think that footage I showed looked smooth with no microjitters? While also having no robotic movement or overcorrections like Fuji?
