Thank you! I am still using Octane when it come's to rendering still images. Which it's definitely superior in, eventhough Octane has way more accurate lighting/reflections - the tradeoff you get with Unreal is just an offer I can not refuse at the moment. It's way too much fun to work in realtime, all the time.
curious, you say "addtional five hours." Is that just render time. Just trying to find out the reality about UE render times compared to octane etc. Seems a lot of info out there is misleading about UE speed.
No, not at all. Render time is super quick inside Unreal. The additional five hours, as seen on the timer in top right was just spent iterating the artwork, creating additional animations/models etc. Everything inside Unreal is realtime, you can have multiple heavy VDB Sims, multiple 5+ GB Alembic Caches, Particle Systems, multiple Dynamic Lighting sources all going at the same time and you're still able to get playback in your timeline in realtime. The ACTUAL render time for this piece, took like 20 minutes. Final render, EXR Sequence. All comes down to your scene of course, but this was rendered with very low sample rates and the result is still fantastic, especially considering it's just used for social media work. I rendered this scene in 20 minutes, if I had done this inside octane/c4d - a frame would have probably taken me at least 60 seconds to 120 seconds, if not more.
Yep, will do so in the next days. Also planning on a another video this month. But this will be uploaded as well, only issue is that my mic recording cut out through the last recording of it. Only noticed it afterwards :(
I guess satanic rituals are "nice to look at" these days... hope you're okay man, would be nice to see the creativity given to you to spread light rather than darkness
BROOO YOU ARE SOO TALENTED! WE NEED MORE VIDEOS LIKE THIS!

Are you no longer rendering with octane?
