  • By following this method of combining short scratch phrases, you will eventually begin to naturally combine various scratch phrases that you've practiced without thinking. The goal is to learn as many short phrases as possible, practice combining them, and then freestyle to see which phrases you naturally begin to combine.

I'm tying to find people scratching on a beat. Everyone scratches with the common scratch samples, as it sounds cleaner, but is there any other techniques when it comes to scratching off a beat? Like for instance I play club music, and I know some of these methods might differ when using a kick to scratch off vs the scratch samples.

💯💯 I have a video on it but I cannot find it for the life of me. I focused on using shorter sounds like kicks. It was an intro scratch transition video, not sure if you’ve seen it?

@@DJLiftOFF I haven't. I got to search through unless you can link me. See, I play club music, and wanted to know what I am doing wrong. It's not just baby scratches i need to learn, but changing tempo of the scratch to fill in before dropped in for a few bars going at 135 bpm.
