The biggest take away is with experience comes better sound selecting, the other beats were good, but Simon's sound choice really melded with the beat way more.
Yup, my little brother recently got into it as a hobby I every single track I hear my only advice is "choose a better sound" or "mix it a bit different".
I agree with the sound selection being very very important ! For months of listening to music & trying too hard to make something sound I good I learned "Why do these professional songs sound so good ?" Even though they were using basic rhythms , if the sounds are good that can take those rhythms to another level but if the sound selection is bad then the rhythms will sound bad & won't feel as great
My favorite is the beginner's. I think his beat fits the track best. It's catchy, groovy and creative, while leaving space for the instruments. And that transition in the end was really unexpected and interesting. Even from a mixing standpoint I prefer it to the intermediate one, since it's not overhyped. I also like his choice of putting the "vocals" in the background. This adds to the melancholic mood and really lets the beat shine through. The only thing I dislike is the bass(line). I think what counts here is experience in making and creating music, not just in producing it.

this perfectly shows that you don't need much time to learn to learn the basics of beatmaking. everyone did a great job, but simons experience with soundselection and different genres just made the last 5-10% that make his beat stand out

Hiiiii Servida I'm a 16 year old independent Rapper/afrobeats singer from Nigeria.I learned how to mix and master vocals on Fl studio from your channel, and I stopped worrying about money to pay for studio sessions so I could put out my music to the world, Thank you so much for the help.
Totally cool your giving these two a chance to see where they can get too! They are both super talented especially being so young. Love it man, keep it up!
I think the differences that come with experience are the expansion of possibilities you think of and learning how to make the music more dynamic. That comes with hearing things and exposure, so.
Fair play as long as it’s completely realised that there is a fundamental difference between dragging and dropping samples to grafting on synths to get some truly original music. Not something most 14 year olds can afford but hopefully something they aspire to for the sake of our soon to be elderly ears
I am glad you guys had a lot of FUN... What I LMAO was how into it you guys got with the bobbing bobble heads, which its great if your just doing it for fun and having a Great time doing what you like. However it would never become main stream on the radio, so don't kid yourself. Using Samples is for NON - Musicians. Any Fool without any musical talent can put samples together to make a simple track easily. The Vocals were not vocals, they were some guy moaning the same 2 words over & over. Try actually playing all of the instruments yourself and writing the actual Chord progressions, Melodies & Harmonies for all of the different parts... Then you will really enjoy your work and have something to be proud of.... ElectricEddie
I think the relative ages were really significant here. Developing an ear and hearing lots of music is so important for getting place in this skill - 14's pretty young for all this, but they both showed great promise!
The beginner ate that !!! That switch up was life 🔥🔥🔥 . The pro you can clearly hear is the pro. The fx’s on the sample were elite 🔥🔥🔥. The intermediate did well, simple and effective , something I live by. Love how the percussions sound on the intro 🔥🔥🔥You can take something away from all 3.

what i find really amazing about this video is that. everyone can make hits that are amazing.
Good job my fellow Romanian 🔥
5 months of beatmaking and he is doing such a good job
I wish had the passion of making music at 14 but hey, never too late
Kids are getting talented more and more 🥺
Thank you so much for all these tutorials bro. So much valuable knowledge
all of the ideas were 🔥🔥, special shout out to fiasco for that switch up!! But the sound selection and the way Simon played with pitch and timing is crazy !! Also the mixing and arrangement from him was 🔥! Awesome work !
Thank you
First of all let's thank Mr Servida for giving young talent a platform,That was an epic showdown brothers, the reality of this is knowing what genre you're going for and be confident about it, however nice work brothers , peace ✌️
Thank you for hooking the young producers/beatmakers up! We need more of this in the world. SALUTE!
Totally cool your giving these two a chance to see where they can get too! They are both super talented especially being so young. Love it man, keep it up!
All of them were great but the drum switch from the beginners guy hit really hard!!! Keep going legend
I think the differences that come with experience are the expansion of possibilities you think of and learning how to make the music more dynamic. That comes with hearing things and exposure, so.
i love how talented and dedicated the kids are. living their passion like they should! 🔥🥰
Is it weird that I like the one from the beginner the most? 😅
Its not i like the beginner the most too lol
Amazing, nice of the Beginner and Intermediate allowing Simon on their video :D Great work by all.
xd😅
Really great way to encourage the beginners to keep creating! Everything was nice
Man, you don't know how grateful I am right now! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
Fair play as long as it’s completely realised that there is a fundamental difference between dragging and dropping samples to grafting on synths to get some truly original music. Not something most 14 year olds can afford but hopefully something they aspire to for the sake of our soon to be elderly ears
Ayy that’s my guy Jordan!!! Dude is mad talented and I’m so excited to see him get this exposure!
AYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
I know right, he’s really cool

I think the relative ages were really significant here. Developing an ear and hearing lots of music is so important for getting place in this skill - 14's pretty young for all this, but they both showed great promise!
this is crazy, all super talented!
The reggaeton mixup was FIRE
Already now its gonna be a fire video
Simon lots of respect to you man, you're a genius in this game and kudos to the young producers too they did well within their time limits
the beginner one was definitely my favorite! that transition was awesome
THIS WAS SO FUN
Thanks for doing the vid with me!
@@ServidaMusic :)
This is awesome, i hope they are more inspired!!! Also i just realised changing samples in a challenge it is important
The beginner ate that !!! That switch up was life 🔥🔥🔥 . The pro you can clearly hear is the pro. The fx’s on the sample were elite 🔥🔥🔥. The intermediate did well, simple and effective , something I live by. Love how the percussions sound on the intro 🔥🔥🔥You can take something away from all 3.
first guy is really good for a beginner 🔥 loved the second part of his beat
Lil boy Fiasco went hard on it
Appreciate
i really thought that the beginner beat was the expert beat
This was dope. What I think would add to it would be you giving advice at the end. Or seven a brainstorm session about who can improve what and how.
I should do that for next time! But honestly I didn’t hear anything that wrong with their beats
@@ServidaMusic For sure there wasn't any thing *bad* to point out. But maybe explain some techniques you would've used to better achieve a certain element they were going for.
In any case dope channel and thanks for replying!
Simon, you need to do this more. Loving it, shoutout to the 2 cool dudes!
THIS TUTORIAL REALLY WORKS I AM FROM PHILIPPINES! THIS MAN DESERVES A SUBSCRIPTION!
Pretty cool to see young kids get into producing. You never know where they'll end up in the future.
Shits fire. wish the video was longer. i wouldve loved hearing a little bit of each persons thought process as they made the beat.
Yeah tried a new editing style for this one
