I’ve been waiting for somebody to come out with this style of a van and now that it’s finally coming together I wanted to tell yall that all of the hard work is paying off!! I’m so excited to hear that y’all put the sketch up out on Patreon 😁 Keep up that good work!! She’s looking gorgeous!! 🩵🩵
Thank you!! We can see the light at the end of the tunnel ❤️
@@scarletandseth for sure!!
Your welcome!!
It looks like a small apartment and it's incredibly beautiful! It definitely looks worth it despite the risk.
Thank you! We hope so, fingers crossed 😂
It’s looking soooo goood! I love the color palette & vibeeeeee - so sleek & modern but with rly warm/homey touches !! 🥹🫶
Aw yay! That’s what we were going for so we’re glad our vision is coming through ✨
My favorite part of this one is simply getting to hear more of your commentary around the technical aspects of a van build! Y'all are so knowledgeable.
I’m a new subscriber to your channel and I gotta say this van has amazing detail, it does look more like a house than a van. I haven’t watched these in order so I’ve seen the finished product and it is beautiful!
Good job, looks like it’s all coming together. Onwards!
Almost got 12v flooring too ... love it in my home bath 😊 But agree not a beginner thing
I have a supply of that exact tile in my garage that I haven’t decided to use. It’ll be in Cali if ya need replacement tiles. 👍
Looking great! I have tile in my bathrooms in my house and have two cracked tiles, from dropping something on them! Heated floors are the way to go. I almost put heated floors in my master bath but decided to buy a new saddle and bridle for my horse instead. Regrets! Lol!
Haha definitely 👍🏼 thanks for watching!
Looking very good!!!
looking great so far... Love it! 💖💖
Thank you!!! 🙏🏼
this already looks so freaking amazing
Thank you so much! ❤️
Wow it looks great awesome
1:03 Breakfast of champions!
Oh for sure 😂
Oooh your cat 🥰
I loveee your hair! It's giving 90s Halle Berry 😍
We created a studio apartment in the back part of our house, and for the kitchenette counter top I installed granite tiles. I used a dry cut blade in my table saw and that was a mistake, it created a terrible mess. If I had to do it again I'd rent the kind of table saw you did.
Renting the tile saw was 100% worth it!
😢 Im new here and you guys make van life look great. Do yall sell you older van builds or do you continue to rebuild the same van.
Did you consider the Ditra heat elements that are placed in the subfloor honeycombs? If so, why not?
Yes! The major reasons we didn’t do this or a hydronic system came down costs. Sometimes the costs of these systems are pretty high so ours was a more affordable heated floor option. The shluter products are amazing but expensive 😅 and aren’t specifically meant for low voltage or RV applications where as the ones we used were! Lots of amazing options out there for heated floor systems these days though!
this is amazing!! can u pls tell me which tile u used? i want the exact one ❤ tysm love u guys
I honestly don’t remember the name but it’s from Home Depot! Our recommendation would be LVT over real ceramic though!
Where is the best place to get the roman clay? You may have said in a previous video but I'm not sure. I've looked online some but not a ton of luck. I really would like to get some for my van. Even though as I'm writing this, you are talking about roman clay was not recommended to you for your van build.
We got ours from Portola Paints! We wouldn’t recommend it because it’s expensive and is a 6-8 coat process (primer, clay & sealer). It’s taken us so long and the finish still definitely isn’t as perfect as you could achieve with normal paint. We love the look but just a warning!
The link for the heated floor mats in the description isn’t working 😢 Could you tell me the brand you used?
They are from expedition up fitters!
LVT luxury vinyl tiles are absolute rubbish. They have shrunk in my bricks and sticks house and in places have left huge gaps, like 30 cms , I now have to replace all the flooring because of it deformation. I wish it was ceramic or porcelain tiles.
Also not sponsored, but I'm not kidding.... switch your hand lotion routine with 'Working Hands' and it is going to change your life. haha
❤️🙏🏼👍🏼👍🏼✌🏼❤️🐱🐱🐱
I think the breaker… is the size you picked. Really don’t see what benefit you get other than cracked tiles because no matter what you do, the subfloor is not rigid enough in relation to the size you picked. Waste of time and weight.
Interestingly enough we though you were right but it seems that the underlayment helps with this! We have dropped so many heavy items directly on these and driven down many rough dirt roads in the last 3 months and haven’t had a single issue. These were also actually a bit lighter than LVT so the weight was pretty much exactly the same as a laminate floor would have been.
Great idea. Sounds very practical. Don't remember hearing about this in other video's. Is this a popular upgrade??
Assuming if heat is necessary, I would also assume hot showers would be necessary making a heated shower floor pointless? 😂
We’ll have hot water!
