We really just have one goal - to make your food life better. Ok that, and be entertained at the same time. And have you learn a few things along the way. So let’s make it 3 goals then.
If you only want the steps to make something, like those vids shot from above with no people, no conversation no nuthin - then we are absolutely not for you. But if you wanna a little fun while you learn, then this is the place.
Cooking doesn’t have to be hard, it just has to be delicious.

THANK YOU ❗️ - Розваги
Thank you for being one of the few cooking channels that still does cooking and not just stunts.
Agreed! He'll do some gimmicky stuff here and there, but it seems he's still focused on cooking great food :)
Cough cough adam ragusea cough
More foil packet meals please !
Just put what you want to eat in foil and cook it. I don't think it would work with pancakes though.
More alzheimer's please!
@@edua999 there's always one...
Aluminum foil isn't the greatest thing for your health, so might wanna keep that in mind.

i've been watching sam since he had 10k subscribers and there still hasn't been a bad video.
I disagree with the other guy. never a flop from these lads
Somewhere in 800k for me. Looked for him after seeing that talk show cooking clip years ago.
been watching since he was on local t.v. in San Diego in the 2000's
I have as well, but I unsubed for a while when he was cooking inside, and was a total ahole to his son. I’m glad he sorted out whatever was going wrong, and a 180 degree turn around makes me happy that I am back.
I don’t know. There was that one video where Max tried to get super artistic and have it play out in reverse order.
As kids in the early 80's, we used to do this our backyard all the time. We would to steak, chicken, and we would also make our own hamburger patties. We always thought this was really cool and so much fun to do as kids. Its really damn delicious as well.
Dipping the bread into the juices is a meal in itself. Love everything about this meal from doing it ahead of time to the easy clean up... Throw the foil over your shoulder! 😎
I've enjoyed the content for years. This was a really nice one with a very different purpose/perspective. I appreciate the variety and absolutely know this is quality camp eating. Thanks. Great work.
Great recipe! I do this with just fish and potatoes, and my wife insists that I make them every week. I'll have to try it with steak (maybe tomorrow? It's the 4th, so why not?). Love your cooking set-up. i keep pointing it out to my wife, but she says other things come first (mortgage, bills, car maintenance), but I'm working on it!
Love your videos. Makes me inspired to cook even with the little skills I have .
Sam has definitely raised my cooking game. And it’s delicious.
Thx! I will definitely be doing this for myself this summer after work out back !
I love when you all whip up sides for whatever your making! Whatever you do please keep this up. More Sides with whatever your makin!
We used to do this with Steak/Pork-Chops/Chicken /w/ potatoes, veggies, etc. in foil in camp-fires for years... excellent tastes.... We would grab the condiments from my mom's condiments drawer to take along camping... Chicken /w/ onions, potatoes, and broccoli in butter, hot mustard, BBQ, salt, pepper, and soy sauce... the best! Whole chickens in garlic butter... heaven!
My kids love it when we make hobo burgers when we camp but the ribeye and garlic butter is a nice way to level up. Looks great.
This is an old campfire recipe. This one is particularly good, but it works for any kind of meat. I've done it with chicken, pork, venison, and even fish. Some kind of potato is needed or it's considered blasphemous, but you can add things like onion, carrots, asparagus, etc. - pretty much everything tastes good when you cook it in fat over a campfire.
Making this for dinner tomorrow,!! was going to anyway maybe over the weekend but really had my mouth watering with dipping the garlic bread into the juices
Thanks for everything Sam! I was curious if you could do this in the oven and what time and temperature you recommend. Thanks again!
Made this last time we went camping turned out AMAZING! Awesome video!
That looks really good! I have to do a video on this!
These were amazing
Made them for dinner tonight. Delish! ❤ thanks, Sam! Even my picky eater likes it.
I'll be doing this in our moab/ Colorado trip! Thanks
I've always felt these premade all-in-one foil meals are perfect for camping/RV trips for a easy no mess awesome dinner.
Made it this evening. Was delicious. 😋
I did a project like this in Cub Scouts. I got accused by the Scout master of precooking because it came out so perfect. I didn't precook. It's just natural talent. I was 8 or 9 and didn't get the badge. At least I had the best meal of the whole troop.
Talk about memories, I used to do this 40 years ago while traveling. I would lay the foil pack carefully on the engine and drive for 30 or 40 minutes and then stop and flip it over and drive some more .Hot lunch at a rest stop hit the spot. Thanks for your programs!
Thanks Sam👍. I have been doing this for the last 25 years. Like you said, prep the night before, into the cooler. Take one out while setting up camp then BAM! On the barbecue, while your friends are looking for the can opener😂 cheers guys
We used to do this in Boy Scouts back in the mid-90's as well. We all laughed when the premade foil pouches came out some years after we had been doing it.
(Also not ment as trying to one up on time period. Just giving perspective for how useful this technique can be through time)
Looks great. We did this in scouts decades ago but with ground beef. We called it camper’s stew and did it in the fire.
I think I made this very same thing on my VERY FIRST Boy Scout Campout! That was back in 1969! It is STILL SO GOOD! 👍🏻
same! but in 1980 ;)
Yep but done with hamburg
I used to do this for camping trips. Love it
Definitely going to try this!
Pretty hard to get excited about cooking sometimes but Sam can sure pump ya up
I do this with lamb. It's awesome you introduced everyone to it with beef.
Great idea for the holiday! Happy 4th everyone!
Looks delicious! Fish (whatever type you like) wrapped in foil with garlic butter, cooked in the oven (or on your BBQ/Grill) is also a great way of cooking.
What do you put on for doing it in the oven, is it 375? Currently don't have a grill and would like to do this in the oven
Sam! Dude I have never cooked anything NEVER! But one wild day I surprised my wife by making this … it was easy, it was fun and most importantly she loved it!!! You are DA MAN! Thanks
Drooling for this ! So quick and easy ! Love to all, Thank You ! Happy Fourth !!!!
I like making these when I go camping. They are easy and really tasty. I make them with chicken too.
it looks good probably tastes even better
I’ve been watching for years, I can’t wait for more inside cooking videos. Limited to a small apartment kitchen now.
Damn, Sam! That looks awesome! And super easy! Thanks!
Great and quick meal, Sam.
Sam, you should do a similar recipe with shrimp, lobster and scallops in a butter sauce in foil. Yum! I know I am going to try it this weekend. Thanks for the idea.
My mouth is watering!
This was always my go-to system when we were weekending it on the beach in Hatteras N.C.
The clean up sells me. 💯
Good stuff, thank you!
Ahhh guys! You’ve done it again! Even though it’s winter here atm… This is definitely happening! Cheers fellas 😍
Brilliant. Will do this.
Great shirt! Great looking meal too! Thank you! Happy 4th Sam
Looks phenomenal an eezy peezy
Thanks for sharing Sam.
So delicious..
Had it for the first time at my son’s Boy Scout summer camp years ago - delicious!
i do squash zucchini and mushroom foil packets with garlic butter salt pepper steak seasoning on the grill and they are amazing. This also looked good.
awesome going to try it
Did it with steak last night. It was so good I’m doing it with chicken right now!
love the channel guys More camping dishes please.
Nice shirt! The recipe was good too. Can never have too much garlic bread.
I like to make meals in foil like that when I’m camping, easy to make and even easier to clean up after.
We make this once or twice a month and LOVE IT!
The damn potatoes have to cut pretty thin for 7 mins per side though.
This is great camping recipe…great content
Camping hell this is good for trucking on the road 👨🏼🍳
Yeah this would be great anytime..packets are quick and easy usually make ahead…downside is everything is steamed…upside is everything is steamed if that makes sense..and for god sake add a bed of onion first if doing on the grill..thin sliced they caramelize wonderfully
going camping later this week. now i have my menu item for Friday night. Thanks!
Love the videos, how'd you get the shiner??? Surprised nobody else mentioned it
that looks really good
When I was a kid we had a campout sleepover on our farm and my mom made these in buffet form. She chopped a bunch of meat and veggies and each kid could pick what they wanted in their foil packet, it was a blast!
Very funny! Can’t wait to try
My mom used to make us foil suppers when I was growing up. She'd put either Polish sausage or hotdogs cut up, potato slices and some frozen corn in it. It was soooo good.
I Can really see Polish Sausages Onions Potatoes and Saur Kraut!
Smoked sausage with potatoes and peppers. ❤ yum! Great job everyone! ❤
I’m all about this Tshirt. Chance is always nice and the voice of reason.
Sam, love your channel. I have been cooking like this camping for years. I call them hobo packs! One of the greatest ways to cook on the fire!
There it is. I couldn’t rememberer what we called these as a kid when camping…..Hobo Packs
I made this and it turned out REALLY, REALLY good! I totally forgot how good "hobo" meals (what we called um in Boy Scouts could be. My kids got a kick out of it, something a little different to spice things up.
I make a dinner like this over the campfire every time I go camping!
Wow
Looks great too 🎉🎉
Happy 4th Sam and Fam :)
Mr. Sam and family....I am a trucker and have been watching your vids on and off for a few years and I have tried a few of your recipes and I gotta say as a guy who loves to eat the things I have made at home of yours were just amazingly delicious.....but I have yet to try that Osso Buco I think you called it.....but after watching this vid I am definitely trying this when I get off the road.
Keep up the great work.
MMMM.. That Looks so good, and like you showed, very easy to make!
New Subscriber!
Like I said on the last video with foil, this really is a great camping hack. Grew up in Boy Scouts and we did this as, at least, one of our meals. We also demoed it at Camporee as well. It really is a great thing. You can also assemble ahead of time, put em in a ziploc, and save on prep and clean up at the camp site.
Seeing this makes me wonder if they do, indeed, read some comments after all, 🤣
We always called this a Hobo Dinner when cooking. Love it with chicken, taters and peppers.
Which cut of steak is your favourite
Looks insanely delicious
Would starting the garlic bread from the bottom side first make any difference? Letting the garlic butter melt into the bread more from the heat, then cooking the top after that. Just curious.
Lol😂
Max gave himself a reacharound😂
Impressive....
Another top top quality video! Hillarious t-shirt also 😂
Hello Sam
Make your own version of the New Haven-style white clam🍕
Cheers from San Diego California
We used to call them Hobo dinners.
We would usually make them before we left to go camping. Or have all the ingredients prepared and let everyone throw one together at the camp site and just toss them on the coals after the fire burned down.
I also do this with fresh caught whole fish. Stuff the gut cavity full of lemon pepper, sliced Lemon and sliced Jalapeños. The toss it on the Grill. Started doing it because my wife hates the smell of cooking fish and it turned out so good that we just kept doing it.
Hey Sam loved it, but try it in a Air fryer just add 3/5 mins a side, yummy
Reynolds has buncha packet recipes used 'em fer yrs 😋 I'd fork split/toast a Hogi roll, chop this a little smaller or not, cook, open an pour juices over bread put mix of fav cheese's each side, dump contents in middle fold cut and 🎉
Your the MASTER Sam!! That looks F***ing amazing!!
Depending on the grill, medium high can go as high as 400°F. So, if you wanted to, you could use your oven at about 375°F for those 7-8 minutes per side. You'll get pretty much the same result, and the bonus is that you can do this in the winter, when the snow is halfway up to your doorknob. Foil packet meals have been a staple in my house for decades. It's a shame that it's a lost art.
There's been a VAST improvement to the music lately, love it :)
Campfire popcorn on the cob is our favorite camping food. Take an ear of corn, shucked, and place it in tinfoil with a pat of butter. Wind it up and toss in the fire or place on the hot grill until it starts to smell like popcorn. Remove from heat, open and season however you like and enjoy. I make a campfire salad, too, that’s very similar to yours steak packet just no meat.
Looks delicious 😋
Campers stew used to do something similar to this cooked in the coals of the fire
Is there a list of all the appliances Sam uses in case we want to recreate our own STCG outdoor kitchen?
Dammit man, now I gotta try it.
Little twist on mine since I make hand cut Souflaki but you got me, never tried this.
Onions, potatoes and green pepper sounds about right.
Thanks Sam.
Great video Sam!
Oh! I'm doin' that immediately! There will be some cheese winging it's iddy way all up in there though! I guarontee!
Wonderful!❤
this looks so easy I will try this Sam Thanks.
My all time favorite, Boy Scout hobo dinner upgraded!
Looks great, how about making a Italian Scone :)
I am literally the first subscriber of this channel. Happy Fourth of July 🇺🇸
Yummy!!!❤
