If I understand the system properly they're trying to remove the unnatural nitrogen chemical fertilization and force organic manure fertilization. The problem is the Manure is from China, there are qualities to Manure and the process of packaging and shipping manure to farms where you could instead have cows grazing and producing local, high quality manure without the need of the logistics supply chain to deliver it is so incredibly stupid or intentionally malicious it's hard to find words to describe it.

The WEF literally has labeled everyone living outside of the future-controlled WEF cities as discontents and deplorable. The psyops is already happening. After the gun thing dies down the next topic will be talking about individuals who own land are colonizers and no one needs more than about 300 sq ft per person. The ideal is to move our culture to compete with china. That currently can't happen because the European Americans aren't producing enough children and aren't subservient enough, we expect a better quality of life and when times get tough we hang onto our money instead of spending thus being incompatible with the superficial economy. Hence importing whole populations of people from other countries. The united nations are part of the WEF and the UN gives people debit cards with loaded-up cash to help them on their way to the U.S.

I may not be representative of all 'rightoids,' but while I heard about the Indian farm protests, I didn't pay all that much attention to it; not because Modi is on the right, but because it was simply isolated to India. It was the people protesting their government and the two having to come to terms, which is how things should go. The Dutch farm protests, and the trucker protests before it is different because these governments are all signed on to the WEF/Great Reset/Agenda 2030 narratives. They're not doing this to the farmers because of nitrogen, which I'm sure the farmers want to not have go out of control because it would literally affect them too, but because Western governments want to enslave their citizens, make us eat bugs, live in pods, not have cars or homes, work for their megacorp buddies 12 hours a day, and be able to take away our bank accounts in a cashless society and dock our social credit scores if we dare speak out against their tyranny. In alot of Marxist thought the Peasants were not actually considered Workers.
Some did consider them so - and they were reconciled with temporarily (maybe it was even initially sincere) but as we see in soviet history, the peasantry and kulaks were turned on, and they forced a new way of production in the surviving peasantry that made them better fit the conception of an industrial worker (the proletariat).
And the dictatorship of the proletariat - or more accurately, the Dictatorship of *the Party of* the proletariat, not only reserves the right, but sees it inevitably as its world historical mission for Progress, to liquidate the class enemies of the proletariat (excepting of course, the Party, bc thats not how power works lol).

Why does the left hate farmers? They do because farmers represent a blind spot in their ideology they aren't willing to acknowledge they have. Socialists are about "workers seizing the means of production." The problem is, farmers do own the means of production and they are a worker. They have to in order to produce anything. With the advancement in farming techniques and equipment, it is much more expedient and productive to work the farms themselves. Combined with the months of work watering, fertilizing, keeping the pests from destroying their crops, if a farmer really wanted to, they can tell every single one of us to "fuck off," keeping the product for themselves. Thus in order for a socialist to get the item they want, they either have to play nice, or resort to violence. Usually it's the latter.

Seems dumb to insist on interpreting events (the Dutch and Indian farmer protests, for example) through the lens abstract ideology (leftist or rightist) while ignoring widely variable local contexts of theses protests. I think it's the same with democracy vs. autocracy. As much as I despise the CCP, the fact is that autocracy, or strong authoritarianism, is the ideal form of government for China and Chinese political culture -- rooted in Legalism and Confucianism -- is predisposed to authoritarianism. Liberal democracy is alien to Chinese culture and history. Democracy/republicanism would inevitably lead to China breaking up as a unified nation, which would inevitably mean a bloody civil war (Chinese internecine wars are always bloody and horrifying) as the disparate parts fight for independence or to reunify the Middle Kingdom, resulting in tens, maybe hundreds, of millions of dead. So as much as I prefer democracy and republicanism for the United States, and the West in general, it's not ideal for every country depending on their particular circumstances and context (history, geography, culture or cultures, etc.).

There was a ‘racially ambiguous’ character in the countryside with cartoony futuristic blimps floating all around. The person who retweeted it said something about it being paradise, the perfect leftist utopia where everyone is ‘insert ambiguous skin tone’ and ‘vaguely working but really just chilling the whole time’. It horrified me because I realized the realization of their worldview isn’t overcoming harsh realities, but shaping reality to their whim. North American elk are extirpated from 98% of their native habitat due to agricultural interests, and much of their native range has been totally transformed. Yet elk aren't on the ESA, and aren't in any danger of becoming extinct. Agricultural interests often put extreme pressure on native habitat, and the fauna that live in them without actually putting them in danger of extinction. The rural feeds the urban and on the face, the urban is parasitic on the rural only if the urban does not give back to the rural such as medicine, machinery, education etc. The urban also tends to develope parallel or even opposite world views that usually get pushed onto the rural. Considering what their philosophers' ideology was (total rejection of anything related to the physical or feelings in pursuit of what they viewed as a form of enlightenment by engaging in pure abstract thinking), it's not really a surprise. Every society had a strong divide between grounded physical laborers and detached intellectuals who thought themselves superior.

This is because nitrogen is an aspect that can cause algae (and other plants) to grow. Like a fertilizer. In fact, it's one of the main reasons to HAVE fertilizer, so you can replenish the nitrogen in the soil.
What is the other problem facing the farms today?
    A fertilizer shortage.
GEE, if only there was a way of taking the nitrogen-rich run-off and turn it into FERTILIZER. But, that would mean that people were not actually facing a famine.
No, much better to kill 30% of the livestock and have people eat bugs.

Not everything is "just a matter of perspective" based on political ideology, Dev.
Sometimes, one side is just right. There's ALWAYS got to be a qualifier about how this is a neutral issue - it's just the RiGhToIdS manipulating the information to convince everyone they're right on this topic.

Not true at all. There is no such thing as absolute rightness and it's all based on personal philosophy. Of course to someone who values individual freedoms and stuff like that sure one side may be pretty clearly right in such an instance, but not everyone thinks that way and apparently you don't understand that.
Also there's a difference between people on the right and "rightoids". Rightoids refer generally to a specific group of people who most definitely do manipulate information and say utterly moronic shit to push their own delusional agendas just as the "leftists" on the left do.

I still remember when BLM protested for Jamar Clarke who was shot by cops for attacking the paramedics trying to help the girlfriend he was just beating.

Here's an interesting bit of macabre irony.
The India Farms bill was to modernize and get more food into India's marketplaces to address the food supply issue.
What is the totally-not-communist-guys "Progressive" response to anything they dislike but can't argue against? "wHAt aBOut wORld HUNgeR?!?!?1!"
So the Commie brigade again made global hunger and starvation worse because they outright to refuse any/every intro to economics book.
I'd also disagree with the pseudo-poetic framing of trying to point out both sides being selective about which bill they support farmers around because the India bill would hurt some farmers bottom line. The Netherlands Bill is _currently_ a 'voluntary' program there the government is buying the farmers lands until 2030 in which they will simply confiscate the difference if they hadn't reduced farmland 30% by that point.
Even purely from the farmers perspective one of these bills is clearly worse than the other. Don't make _as much_ money or 30% chance your entire life is disrupted and the farm that has been in your families name for centuries is gone, by government fiat.

I‘ve been around farm guys my entire life. My father and his brothers, grandpa, several of my friends, my boyfriend. They just want to fucking farm. For them to LEAVE their farm and protest is a last-ditch effort to save well…their ability to farm. Also, I‘ve been around liberal city people during college all day long. Their knowledge on food production, farming, animal care etc. is simply non existing. It’s abysmal that they decide what happens on our farms. Sure, emissions are high BUT farming is literally the only industry we‘ll ever need. I mean we can stop and all go back to small-time farming for our own needs. I wouldn’t mind, I have the land and the room to raise cattle. What most people don’t get is that our families mostly sit on the same plot of land for literal centuries. We’ve seen empires rise and fall and farmed through it all.

Our understanding of soil has funnily enough gone to foolhardy false wisdom some time in the 30's with the mass adoption of NPK and more recently people are starting to realize the system that functioned for thousands of years using grazing animals and emulating migratory patterns isn't only better, but necessary given events like the dustbowl when topsoil died and blew away.
That said, they have the right problems but the wrong solutions and absolute worst implementation of them. If what they're implemented is even really intended to solve the problem. More likely not. See Joe Salatin.

I have been working since I was 9 as have most of the people I know have been. The only reason i am not working right now is because I have a disability that has shown itself in recent years. But even now, I still work the 10-12 hour days whenever I can because almost all of the support systems that are basically necessary for extremely rural farms to survive have either been taken away or changed to the point where it hurts us.

You forgot to mention that there are already innovations available that can reduce nitrogen emissions by 70%, this was discussed in parliament in a debate between van der Plas (BBB) and Paternotte (D66). However, Paternotte (farmer hater) doesn't like that and thinks we should get rid of farmers anyway. Even though this would be cheaper. This proves that it is NOT about nitrogen at all, but about being good lapdogs to the WEF and the EU.
Furthermore, if you correct nitrogen output for actual food output, you can see that the Netherlands is by far one of the cleanest countries in Europe.
Also, we need to understand that nature is not some damsel in distress that needs a big and strong politician to save her. If certain species die, because of environmental changes, others will take their place. It's not like the world turns into the Sahara desert or something
0:30 the thing you get wrong here is that the farmers don't "believe" the government wants their land. They know it, because it ALREADY HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES.

As a 30 year old farmer in America, we have made leaps and bounds to be better stewards of the land.
We now use less aggressive tillage practices to prevent soil erosion, do less passes across the field, and spray less than we ever have. We also use nitrogen inhibitors that help the nitrogen bond to the soil, meaning chances of the nitrogen leaching (or being lost) are greatly reduced.
You won’t hear about many of these things in the mainstream.
