  • Ever wondered if your diet affects your brain? We put vegan and omnivore diets head-to-head in an 8-week research study with 22 Identical twins! Discover the SHOCKING results on memory, focus, and even cellular aging! This video digs deep into the science of food and brainpower, helping you make informed choices for optimal cognitive health. Click to unlock the secrets of your mind's potential!
A vegan diet fuels minds with fruits, vegetables, legumes, whole grains, and plant-based alternatives like tofu and tempeh. Their plates burst with color and fiber, aiming for optimal nutrient intake from non-animal sources.
On the other hand, the omnivore diet incorporates animal products like meat, fish, dairy, and eggs alongside their veggies. Their diet offers a broader range of protein sources, but also introduces saturated fats and cholesterol considerations.
    This video will be exploring:
Memory Matchup: Did the vegans outshine their omnivore rivals in recalling names and faces?
Focus Frenzy: Who reigned supreme in the battle for attention and concentration?
Cellular Aging Clock: Did either diet impact the ticking timepiece of brain cell longevity, the elusive telomere?

The lower LDL(-14 pts), weight(-2Kg), FBG, insulin & longer telomeres for the Vegans was a positive sign.

The best summary of this study by far! Thank you for speaking from the data and respecting that we laymen can understand the scientific viewpoint!

The best summary of the study by far! Was the loss of visceral fat not significant? Or was it not measured in all twins? Could the improvement in insulin and LDL-C be caused by the loss of visceral fat? I heard (don't know the sciece) that 2 kg weight loss is too little to explain such big improvements in LDL-C, insulin and telomere length.

This was interesting. Can you please speak on the Wendy Williams situation? I’ve only watched a few clips on social media and it’s heartbreaking to see. I’m curious to know what could possibly be the cause. She would often have her elderly parents on her show and neither of them appeared to have any signs of what she currently has. Just inquiring. Thank you for your expertise.

No, but peer reviewed academic research in sports science has shown it cause boost vo2 max! (See Effect of popular diets on athletic performance meta analysis paper) But vegans do have problems with lower bone mineral density and as a consequence higher rates of hip fractures. (So much so that the lactase persistence genes evolved at a rapid rate)
It would also be interesting to see body composition. Was the body weight they lost just bone mineral density?

Studies with Seventh Day Adventists demonstrated a plant heavy pescatarian diet is best for increased lifespan. Globally, some version of the Mediterranean diet has been demonstrated to be ideal. Unlike the states, the EU has strict organic standards. A gut destroying herbicide isn't used on organic crops as a prehavest dessicant...

Given how many toxins, including food additives, banned abroad, are still deemed safe and used liberally in the US, it's not surprising that the average lifespan continues to decline while chronic illnesses are becoming more prevalent. It's almost as if it's by design...

sounds interesting but now adays fish are toxic due to pollution and farmed fish is unhealthy. You can get omega 3 from many plant sources.

Just skip the fish and take omega3

Despite our worries about the amount of toxins in fish, given that they are concentrators, the research so far demonstrate that they are healthier, then omnivore diets. This is especially true for smaller fatty fish. We ourselves worry about the toxins, as well as what we’re doing to the oceans, but a pescatarian diet could be a way better choice than an omnivore or a standard American diet. The benefits of the fish can be had by simply taking omega-3 supplements. Please read the comprehensive review we did on omega-3 for the American College of lifestyle medicine.

@@TheBrainDocs Although there are numerous variables to consider, some of the longest lived people are in Monaco, South Korea, Japan, and Hong Kong. It would be valuable to conduct studies to determine why humans with some of the highest life expectancies in the world consume significant amounts of fish and meat. What role does genetics, farming practices, lifestyle factors, air and water quality, access to quality HC, etc, play in longevity and health?

❤️❤️Great! TY, also new study vegans less likely to get covid and other viruses due to stronger immune system of the diet...🎉

I’ve seen that study and several others. Sadly, those are weaker in their methodology, they need to be reproduced with more robust studies. So, although we suspect that people who live on a planed plant dominant or exclusive diets should have better metabolism, and by extension immunity, that hasn’t been strongly established yet.

Switched from vegan to Carnivore and so glad I did. Think better, less inflammation, blood lipids are fine. We were meant to be meat-eaters.
